Sunrise Sailing, The Right Words, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card using the new "Sunrise Sailing" bundle. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. You can use a smaller piece if you like but I just glued down the whole piece on the front of my card.

Next I cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock to measure 4" x 2". I textured it using the embossing folder in the "Sunrise Sailing" bundle. I made sure the boat area was moved more to the left. There's the whole sail boat that can be embossed. Since I was only working on the water part I made sure to move the piece over far enough in the folder to have the boat off to the left and not so centered. I glued that to the bottom of the Basic White layer.

Next I worked on the sail boat. I stamped it using black Memento ink. Then I used Real Red ink for the stripes on the sails.  There's a matching die so I cut the boat out. I added Dimensionals to the boats sails and glue to the bottom of the boat. I set the boat in place on the front of the card.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Country Corners" set. The words were set in place using Dimensionals.

The gulls were die cut from a scrap piece of Basic Black and were glued in place. And the card was done.

What a fun set to play with! I love how it turned out and can't wait to play with it some more.

Thank you SO very much for stopping in to see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
