WOW! Another Milestone!

My blog hit 140,000+ hits on Monday! I'm SO thrilled! And you will be too because you all know what that means. Yup. Blog Candy time again. But . . . not this week. Sorry. I am in the process of getting some items set up in queue on my blog so I can have a little R&R this weekend. A hot tub awaits me in Duluth!!! I was told the leaves are almost done changing up there. That's ok. Even if it rains the entire time we are up there, that is ok too. I mean, it's a HUGE hot tub!! I plan on being pruned! I'll step out and add one of the fabulous posts I have set up for you and back in the tub!! There is a wonderful stamping store near the Miller Hill Mall and of course I'm going to have to check it out. My DH will be just fine with it because there is a coffee shop right next door. Give him a cup of coffee and the newspaper and he's good for an hour or so!!! LOL And he never questions the stamping stuff I buy up there anymore. I just say, "They don't have this in the stores back home and he doesn't ask any more questions." Like he's going to go look when we get home!!! LOL If I find anything fun I'll be sure to show you when I get back. But personally, I think I own it all now!!! My workroom is full and I mean full!!! I'm trying (seriously) to use the stuff I have. Imagine that??? What a novel concept!!! LOL I am stamping "things" (everyone should have stamped "things") to work on during the ride up there and back. DH is not big on talking while he drives. SO I need something to do. And what better thing to do than to work on "things" for the upcoming craft fairs. Oh and not to mention the Christmas cards. 130 of them!!! UGH!!! I should have picked one with less pieces. Oh well, too late now to turn back!

I have some wonderful posts coming up for you and you won't even notice I'm gone!

And when I get back I'll put up some Blog Candy to celebrate the 140,000+ hits.

Things are a Changin'

Scroll down and look to the right. I added some different pictures/cards to the slider. I thought it was time for a change. Those other cards had been on there for a LONG time. I'm not big on change. Personally I like to do something once and be done with it. But some things do need to be upgraded now and then and that happened to be one of them. SO enjoy the new pictures!

Thanks for stopping by,

Wanda

Bad Weather

We had a little bad weather on Monday night. Here's a view of what we saw (only though the camera lens) in the dark. It hailed for over 5 minutes. My car was outside and it's full of dents. I'll be making a call to the insurance company later in the week. I'm assuming they are swamped with calls right now. It's not like it's not drivable! My flower beds looks like a fancy salad!! LOL And the lawn is ankle deep in green leaves. SO sad but it could have been a lot worse.

The first picture if in the backyard. Click on it to see it closer. The hail piled up from taking a ride down the gutters! It was pretty thick back there in that one spot. It was about that deep in front of the garage door too! Unreal!!!

The second photo shows how big the hail balls were. That's a quarter in the middle. The color of it looks like a penny but I assure you it is a quarter. Look who's face is on the coin, you'll see!!! LOL HUGE, aren't they??? One city over reported golf ball size hail. Ok, now where do you even hide from ones that huge????

And no, I didn't go out there while it was hailing. I waited until it was done. I waited until the rain was pretty much done too so I'm sure these were larger than this but when I got out there this was how big they were!!

When I was in middle school I went on a walk for charity. It was called "A Walk for Mankind." It was a 22 mile walk. During the walk it started to rain and then it hailed. Now those were pea size hail and I'm talking tiny peas. There was no shelter, we were on a walk and at that time we were in the country. Those little tiny hail balls hurt when they hit and I don't even want to begin to imagine how much these things would hurt. But the coolest thing was when I went out there to get them I could see my breath! Almost like winter!!!

And a reminder here to my DH!!! When the sirens go off it doesn't mean to pull the covers up around your neck and go back to sleep!!!

Title Troubles

It would appear that Blogger has their glitch fixed. Well, let's put it this way, it's working for me. I did have trouble with mine the last two nights. On Sunday night I submitted my post and then went back in to the edit part and added the title. Hey, I even rebooted thinking it was a glitch on my computer. I'm using (trying to learn) the new Window's VISTA. What a nasty piece of software that is!! Anyway, last night I tried to enter a title but it wouldn't work but then I had clicked outside the title rectangle and the cursor appeared inside the rectangle to I entered my title and ran!!! Blogger is pretty good about getting things fixed and from my end it looks as though they have. But should any of you bloggers encounter this problem again try what I did and see if that works.

I Must Confess

I must confess here. I didn't think I was anxious about the new catalog coming. I still have plenty of work to do with the preview stamps, papers and inks. But ever time I hear a truck outside I have to look. Today I was caught twice. Once it was Federal Express and just a bit ago across the street it was the Schwan's truck. How dare they do this to me??? LOL

Snow!!

We got snow on Wednesday April 11th. I think it was a couple of inches. At first it melted as it hit the ground and then it began to accumulate. By evening we had over an inch on the deck. It was VERY pretty. Not enough to make a snowman though, unless you like yours full of dead grass and twigs. It wasn't even enough to cover the roads. Even the side roads were decent to drive on, which is a good thing. You know snow this time of the year just won't last and it didn't. There's just a trace of it here and there in the yards. We didn't even shovel off the driveway or the deck. If you click on the photo you can see it up close and you can see the flakes falling. I dearly LOVE snow but I think this was the last blast now until fall.

Find it Here!

I spent a little time tweaking my blog today. I finally got the label thing straightened out. When you first start doing a blog you have no idea what half these things on here are for until you get into it for a while or you start asking other bloggers questions. Off to the right column I have a new element titled "Find it here" and all of my posts are now sorted out. So if you want to find just cards you click on "cards" and you'll get a page full of the cards I've posted. How cool is that? SO organized!!! I wish it were that easy to organize my home!!!

We Got Snow!

Click on the photo and you can see how huge the snowflakes were. Now from the looks of the thermometer it's 28 degrees out there! It's also April 3rd!!! The trees are starting to bud here in good ole Minnesota! I dearly LOVE snow and I was delighted to hear that we were going to get 1 to 4 inches! Well, we ended up with almost an inch and there's not much left on the ground as I write this. No snowman. If you could make one it would have been full of twigs and leaves. Not a pretty snowman at all. SO I believe this was my last shot at making a snowman this season. But on the brighter side, it's only about 6 more months until the next snowman season rolls around! Until then I'll blog!

I Saw 2 New Things Yesterday!

Yesterday I ventured out and I saw my first two robins of the season! Poor little things. It's still a bit chilly here in Minnesota for the bugs to be available to these birds. And I went shopping and I saw my first Primas. I was more impressed with the birds!!! I was looking at these little flowers and wondering what the big deal is with them. When I got home I looked at my silk flowers and realized that I could probably use those and get the same results. So this weekend I'm going to give it a shot and see what I get. I'll post it on here and let you see it and tell me what you think!!!
