Not SO Good News

I continue to get spam on my blog. I do moderate each comment that comes in and I thank you all for leaving comments on my post, they are very much appreciated.

Many of the spam posts have been about links to get viagra and mortgage loans. But the last one I got actually read "click on this link or die." After receiving that one I decided it was time to add the security word thing. I am sorry you will have to have one more step to posting a comment but it isn't that long of a scrambled letter thing. I use it on so many other blogs I leave comments on and I really don't mind it and of course I understand why it needs to be on a blog. What I don't understand is, do these people really think that I would buy anything from them that is presented in such a sneaky way? It even turns me off from the company that they are promoting. Anyway, as soon as I figure out how to add that security thing you will need to just type in the letters you see on the screen and then post your comment.

Blog Issues

I just realized I have NO posts on my blog. What on earth happened to them??? I have no idea and I'm hoping that Blogger gets this issue resolved soon.

Blog Problems

There was a problem with my blog today. Apparently the "Site Meter" had something to do with it. I thought I had broken the blog!!! I had even pondered the notion of not having a blog anymore because starting all over isn't an option for me. But upon actually reading blogger issue problems and finding some helpful comments left by some REALLY intelligent bloggers I was to remove my "Site Meter" and it should take care of it. SO I removed it and my blog is up and running just fine!! Plus there was another issue. Some blogs had been marked as Spam by Blogger and they were working to fix it. I thought maybe that was why my blog wasn't working. But for me it was the meter. It's now gone and all is well.

Feedblitz Subscription Problems?????

Some of you may have noticed you are not getting any notices in your email from Feedblitz telling you I have a new post. I also subscribe to my own blog to make sure Feedblitz sends out the emails. If you are not receiving the notices any more, please resubscribe. I will be checking into this further and perhaps considering changing to Feedburner for my subscriptions.

I did go into my Feedblitz area this morning and snooped around. I'm not very familiar with it since I don't usually find a need to go back into it once I had set it all up. I did go into My Dashboard and found the blogs I subscribe to and hunted around on how to reactivate them. I never deactivated them but somehow they were. GRRRR. Anyway, I found that if you click on the subscription a pop up window comes up and you click on the reactivate (I believe that is the word they use in the window). Sad thing is I had to do this to ALL of them. Again with the GRRRR! And trust me, I subscribe to a LOT of stamping blogs. I like to see what others are doing and I use them as a study guide. How else do you learn new things or get inspired to create something new without looking at what others are doing. And once in a while I get that coveting feeling and just have to CASE (Copy And Steal Everything) a card!!! I try not to do that too much and many times I start out casing but I end up with something entirely different, which is a GOOD thing!!! Anyway, for those of you who are not receiving my pretty much daily updates please go back into Feedblitz and reactivate your subscription or just subscribe again. I'm not sure if that will work but you'll know in the morning!!! LOL

Who Knows??

Who knows what is up with the Feedblitz. This is the place where you can subscribe to my blog. It's listed on the right side of this post, near the top. I also subscribe to my own blog to see if and when the emails go out. I didn't see mine in my email this morning. I did see it in the Google Reader though. I also subscribe to my blog through there. It seems that through the Google Reader I get the updates pretty much as soon as they are posted. That's pretty cool. Feedblitz sends out all of them in one mass emailing. Most of the times it works fine but sometimes they have problems. Google Reader on the other hand has not failed yet. I'm still waiting!! LOL

So tomorrow in your email you'll get a few new posts from me!! I've got some fun and informative "stuff" coming up for you this weekend. But ALL of my "stuff" is fun and informative, isn't it?? LOL Ok, almost all of it!!!

This would have been a good time to put up some Blog Candy just for that one day!!!! LOL

Blog Candy!

My blog has hit and surpassed the 100,000 mark!!! Thanks to all of you faithful visitors! I have lots of new things to post in the upcoming weeks. And I will also be posting some Blog Candy tomorrow night to commemorate the 100,000 hits! I have to find something fun for you to do for the Blog Candy. Everything comes with a price!!! LOL I have some pressing business and am unable to get to it tonight. I have a fabulous HP scanner that is not cooperating with my Windows VISTA. HATE that program. I'm slowly learning it and as I learn it I shake my head and wonder why they felt the need to change some of the things they did when it all gets you back to where you wanted to be in the first place. But the first place took a bit of looking around to get to. New names for old things. Personally I feel I the program is wasting my time. Don't they realize that we like familiarity? Some change is good but not like this. I need to jump on my computer and go. NOT with Windows VISTA. Most of my favorite software is now obsolete and I MUST purchase upgrades or new programs. Such a waste too. It's all totally frustrating. And the sad thing is we can't do anything about it. WOW, what a rant that was!!!! Wait till I tell how how I REALLY feel!!!

Check back tomorrow and I'll have the blog candy posted!! And your mind challenging task!! Can't forget that!

In response to Pat S. No, I didn't upgrade to Windows VISTA. It came with the computer. I could remove it and put Windows XP on but eventually I will have to use the VISTA. This operating software also does not come on a restore disk. You MUST make your own. It required a rewritable CD but it won't record to it. After much time on the phone with company I am told I need to put it on a DVD. And if I lose that disk, well . . . it's going to cost a lot of money to get a new Windows Vista to restore my computer. Makes me want to make two copes. I mean, what if one gets scratched??? And from what I figured, should my hard drive crash and I need to purchase a new one I might or might not be able to install the software on to it. All this because people were sharing their copy of Windows. Maybe if they make the cost of it less everyone could afford their own!! Oops, ya got me going again!!! LOL
