The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and tape it to the inside.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used here is from the "Painterly Pairs" 12" x 12" package. I cut the large piece at 4" x 5-1/4" and I taped it to the front of the card base.
The next largest piece of DSP (the white with the little yellow flowers) was cut at 3-7/8" x 3-7/8". The Mossy Meadow layer behind it was cut at 4" x 3". I didn't pay attention to how it was taped to the front of the card so I had to trim off the Mossy Meadow layer on the left side. If you don't want to do any trimming then cut your card stock at 4" x 15/16". I just found it easier to trim it off. After trimming I taped it to the left side of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.
The pear imaged piece was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and was taped to a 2-7/8" x 2-13/16" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. Again here I just cut my piece at 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" and I trimmed off the Mossy Meadow edge on the right side. Then I taped it to the right side and centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.
Next I stamped the words from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card stock. They were punched out using the "Labeled with Love" punch. I also punched another piece using Mossy Meadow card stock. I cut that piece down the middle and taped each piece to the back of the word piece at the top and bottom to give the illusion of a duplicate layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. It's centered in the middle but is off to the left.
I tied a white bow using some retired ribbon. I glued it to the word piece and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I LOVE all the layers. I enjoyed using several pieces of DSP on one card.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
