Season of Celebration, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Hydrangea Hue card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and tape it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock. Using a blending brush and Hydrangea Hue ink, I scrubbed it on the center and worked my way outward.  I taped this piece to the front of the card.

These cute stickers are from the "Season of Celebration" ephemera package. I bought this package because of this snowman. I am such a snowman person. Hubby will be getting my snowman parts down from the loft in the garage and when we have our first sticky snow, I will be going out to make a snowman. It's been a few years since I've made one, mostly due to a bad hip but with a total hip replacement, I'm ready to play in the snow again. And yes, I will eat snow too! I refuse to grow up! LOL Back to the card. I punched out the package, snowman, greenery, snowflake and words.

I stuck the package in place first. I removed the backing on the snowman and added dimensionals. I added baby powder to the sticky parts that are exposed. Then I removed the backing on the dimensionals and set the snowman in place on the front of the card.

Next I added the greenery piece. And then the snowflake, I added a dimensional and added the baby powder as I did for the snowman.

The word part was a bit tricky. I cut a dimensional and added it to the area under the "Christmas, us to the "m".  Then I added the baby powder but I didn't want to get any baby powder on the part that will be affixed to the snowman body.  Once I was done with that, I removed the backing from the dimensionals and set the piece in place on the front and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. I love how cute this snowman is and I'm pleased with the way the card turned out. It was super simple and quick too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
