In the post where I originally had this card I added at the end that I had made extra and if anyone left a comment I would enter their name in a drawing. I was to draw the name on Monday. But Monday came and went, didn't it? Sorry about that. Well, I did remember that I needed to do the drawing and since there were only two comments left that day I will send each of them a card. So, Christi and Colleen, please email me with your snail mail address and I will pop those cards in the mail.
Thanks SO much for leaving your comments,
Wanda

A Betsy's Blossom Birthday
Once again I'm going quick and simple. Here I used the cute little flower from the "Betsy's Blossoms" set. I am now feeling that I actually got some use out of this set, so if it retires I won't feel so bad!
The center of the flowers were stamped using Early Espresso and the small trio flower image from the set. That was an image I hadn't used yet!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
The base of the card is Early Espresso. The flowers were stamped using More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.
The center of the flowers were stamped using Early Espresso and the small trio flower image from the set. That was an image I hadn't used yet!
I punched out the larger flower of the three using a 1/2" circle punch. I attached them to the center of the flowers using Dimensionals and I colored the centers with a More Mustard marker.
The words are from "Bring on the Cake." They were stamped using Early Espresso ink. And that was it, very quick and very simple. It was so simple in fact that I made 6 of them. I figured if I had to stamp each flower and wash off the stamp just to reink it with the next color, I might as well make several cards. I could have stamped each color but I wasn't sure where they were going to land on the paper so I found it easier to just stamp each color as I went. And yes, even doing that it was a quick card!
Now being I have 6 of them I would like to mail four of them to a lucky reader in celebration of my blog reaching half a million hits!!! WOW!!! Just leave a comment on this post only and I'll draw a name on Wednesday and send the cards off to them. The lucky 13 in 2013 is still going strong!
OOPS, that's one and a half million hits, not half a million! Silly me!

Blog Candy!
Can you believe it? I missed my Blogoversary! It was almost a week ago. I was so busy with the craft fair stuff and getting caught up from the craft fair stuff that I completely forgot about my Blogoversary. I started this blog back in 2006. Back when there weren't a lot of stamping blogs out there. Now there's tons of them for you to enjoy! I have had a lot of fun posting to my blog and I plan to continue, as long as I have viewers!!! I have noticed how the trend is changing and I too, have changed along with it. I use to use Google Reader and now I hardly look at it. It has been replaced by Pinterest (one of my favorite places to spend a TON of time). Though I don't often use Pinterest to search for card samples. I still prefer Split Coast Stampers. It's much more organized and easier to find what you are looking for. With Pinterest you need to know exact wording and sometimes that doesn't always help. But I will continue to post on here so you will always know where to find me!!
So onto the blog candy. I have 3 different "Scrappy Cat" brand of clear rubber stamps. All three come with images and sentiments. The names of the sets are "Thank You", "Sunny Days", and "To Cheer You". And as you know I always add to the package as the days count down, so the lucky winner receives a lot more than is in the photo.
Nothing is free!!! You need to answer a question to be entered in the drawing. Ok, the question is: "What is your favorite internet source of creative information/inspiration?" Now you want to know when! I will draw a name on Sunday November 18th. I was going to move the date closer but I have a busy week and weekend. My niece is getting married next month and her bridal shower happens to be on Saturday. I am her godmother so I am hosting the shower which means I have LOTS of stuff to do. Plus I am not done with the jewelry for the wedding party gals. I am hoping to finish that up later tonight! Gosh, when did life get so busy? And especially at this time of the year too when it's normally extra busy because of the holidays. UGH!!! I'm SO looking forward to the end of the month when I can step back and take a short breather before the next wave of holiday stuff hits! Then after the first of the year things will calm down a lot and I'm hoping to get a lot of beading done along with my other "usual" stuff!
So, please leave a comment to this post only for your chance to win the blog candy. And please only enter once. I also ask that it be limited to USA and Canadian residents only. Thank you.
I thank you for visiting my blog and good luck!

9 more days until my Blogoversary! I started this blog back in 2006 and I'm ready to begin my 7th year! And to celebrate the 6 years I will be posting some Blog Candy tomorrow! Today I'm knee deep in polymer clay and I'll share with you what I've been working on too! But for today I'm just posting a reminder for you to stop back tomorrow to see what I have for the Blogoversary celebration!
Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting today,

Card Giveaway
I am giving this card away! All you need to do to have it sent to you is to be the lucky name that will be drawn on Tuesday. And of course you need to leave a comment. Even just an "I want it" comment will work! But you do need to leave it on yesterday's post. Just click here to get there! You can get the specs on the card when you go there.
I will not be posting a card or project today. I am taking the day off. I have not had a bread from posting in a very long time and my weekend has been just SO busy that I was not able to get anything ready to post. I do have a few more different cards from the Stamp-A-Stack but I just decided to take one day off! This is something you won't see happen very often. I even make things up ahead of time and pre-post when we go on vacation but today, I'm just taking it off! I will be back to posting tomorrow!
Be sure to leave a comment for a chance at having this card sent to you!

And the Winner Is.....

5 years! That's a lot of blogging! Congratulations. What keeps me stamping - I have all these ideas that swim around in my head and every now and then I have to give in and let them out. There are so many fun and intriguing stamps out there that it's hard NOT to create! Your inspiration doesn't hurt either! Thanks Wanda! Athena :0))
I thank you all for playing along. It's great to hear where you get your inspiration. Sometimes I find myself web surfing and passing up lots of great cards and projects because I'm just not motivated to do them. The inspiration is there but some days I just lack motivation. Lately I have been on a different mission. I have been looking for cards made using certain stamp sets and running with that. I need to change up the "theme" of my hunting to give myself a bit of variety and a different direction to move in. Whatever works, right?
Ok, back to the Blog Candy. Athena, please email me with your snail mail information before Monday the 14th. I will be going to the post office on Tuesday and getting the package sent off to you!
Thank you all for playing along. I will have my usual New Year's Day Blog Candy coming up! You have to have something to start the New Year off with! And if you live in the upper mid-west like I do (though I feel Minnesota is really the upper middle of the USA!!!), you will want something to play with while you are snowed in with 8 hours (if you are lucky) of daylight! I'm not complaining there, I do like the short daylight hours in the winter. I LOVE turning my lamp on in the living room at 4:30. It has a warm cozy feel to it. You know you still have a long evening ahead of you. In the summer it's not such a warm cozy feeling. For one thing the air conditioner is probably running and it's more than likely late in the evening. You don't have those few hours to settle in. It's dark and it's late and soon it's (suppose) to be bedtime! I actually saw snow today. It wasn't flakes, it was those little pellet kind and there weren't very many of them. I am waiting for a nice wet snow to make a snowman that will last the rest of the winter!!
WOW, I rambled!!! LOL
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

It's Blog Candy Time
I began this blog this day in 2006! That sounds SO long ago now. I have been posting every day since then. Though I think I may have missed a day once a year but for the most part I post every day and I still love it.
So to celebrate my 5 years of blogging I am giving this stamp set to the winner of the drawing.
To have a chance at winning this you will need to leave a comment to this post. In your comment, tell me what keeps you motivated to stamp? I will draw a name on Thursday November 10th.
Thank You SO much for being faithful followers of my blog. I have enjoyed posting to it and will continue for some time to come!
Please comment to this post only and it is open to USA and Canadian residents only.
Good luck to you all,
Wanda

Blog Candy!

For the handful of you who read the entire post on Monday the time has come to draw a name for this wonderful "Vintage Vogue" set. As you can see if you go back and look at the Blog Candy post I did on Monday, the only ones who entered were those who actually did read through the whole post to know the Blog Candy was there!!!
I counted the number of comments and I had hubby go online to the Random Number Generator and hit the button to see who gets the blog candy. He took a screen shot of the # and emailed it to me. SO a BIG congratulations to winner #9!

I'm sure picking a favorite song for you was as difficult as me picking a favorite movie. I have a room full of movies. When I quit smoking over 9 years ago I started spending the money on movies. I have TONS of movies and I watch them over and over. By the time you get through one shelf of them I could actually start over and watch them all again. It takes me a while to get through them. I don't watch movies every day/night. And there are some I will actually watch a couple of times in a row because I just LOVE the movie or I just don't get it and I think watching it again will help me. I even have a couple I still don't understand and I will watch them again too with hopes of "getting" it!!! LOL
Thanks to all of you who did read through the email and congratulations to Joan! You can thank hubby for his magic button pushing! LOL

Vintage Vogue Birthday Card
I am shocked at how many birthday cards I need this month! And I am also shocked at how far behind I am at making them!!! LOL
I LOVE this "Vintage Vogue" set. And I just found out last week that it is still available and it will be in the new catalog!! So if you didn't get yours in the last mini catalog it is still available!
I also used the "Thoughts & Prayers" set on this card too. Just to show you that it is not just a sympathy set. The "Vintage Vogue" is in the background. I did the "One Sheet Wonder" technique, which I will explain tomorrow. I wanted to post this card for a friend who is celebrating her birthday this month and I also want to post the "Vintage Vogue" clear mount set in celebration of my blog reaching One MILLION Hits! Can you believe it? It would have been cool to have logged on and see it at 1,000,000 but seeing over that mark is great too.

Let's get on with the celebrating. I am not posting the blog candy in a separate post like I did in the past. I am blending it in with a "normal" post. It's a test to see if the post actually is read to the end or if you just look at the pictures! LOL
Now when I post blog candy I usually ask you to answer a question. And of course this one will not be any different! I'll keep it simple this time!! What's your favorite song? I will do a random drawing using the Random Number Generator to pick the winner so when you leave your comment on this post only please put the next consecutive number in front of it to make counting for me much easier. I will draw a name on Friday May 15th.
5-11-10 Well, the number thing isn't working out because of the moderation of the comments. I can't turn that off so I'll just count as I have done in the past. SO just leave your comment and I will count the entries by hand. Thanks SO much for trying! The drawing will be held at noon on the 15th. I always forget some details!!!

Blog Candy

This tin holds "Accents & Elements" by Stampin' Up! These are wonderful for scrapbooking and for stamping. It contains lots of flowers and borders and tabs in some very fun and fabulous colors!
Next week is the last week I will be adding to the box. Which is a good thing since the box is getting pretty full! And then the following week I will create the post where you can leave your comment to be entered in this drawing. This drawing covers my Blogoversary, my latest "Chatty Cathy", my blog reaching 90,000 hits (wait and see what I offer when it reaches the 1 million mark!!) and of course to celebrate the New Year!! Got to check all the items out!!! Just click here to see them!

Blog Candy! I Didn't Forget This Time!

I did bake some cookies that need icing on them. I have not decorated cookies in YEARS!!! It should be interesting. I bought the icing in the new cans that come with decorating tips. We'll see how that goes! I look at them and this interesting baking day comes to mind. Way back when I was just married my sister had purchased an electric spritz maker. I don't think I ever laughed that hard baking cookies, nor have I ever laughed that hard baking cookies sense!!! That machine pushed the cookie dough out so fast that we couldn't get it to make a good one. We took turns and laughed at ourselves and each others attempt! I think we did get one normal looking cookie out of the whole batch. And we ran that same dough through the machine many times in hopes that we'd get one good cookie and that was what we got, ONE!!! My sister still has the machine and she still brings up that fun day of cookie baking. It still brings a smile to my face when I think about it!! Maybe we should get together for old time's sake and give that little machine one more try. Machine one, sisters zero!!! We shouldn't have let the machine win!!
Ok, here is what I almost forgot!!! I almost forgot to tell you what is in the photo!!! There is a package of the Stampin' Up! "Long Notes (cards & envelopes), a package of Magic Mesh and a Stampin' Up! eraser.
Anyway, come back on New Year's Day to leave your comment on that post and you will be entered in the drawing for all these fabulous items!!! There's 5 weeks of them plus this one! Click here to see all the items!
Thanks for visiting,

Blog Candy, I Almost Forgot It!

This is a fun word set. I took a photo of the back of it too so you can see all the great words in the box! It even comes with an ink pad!!! Not that it's a big deal. We all seem to have a favorite ink pad we love to use. Personally mine is black StazOn. I use it on almost all of my cards. It stamps the images so nice and dark and I can use my blender pen and watercolors with it

Back to this set. I will be adding this to the New Year's Day Blog Candy give away. If you would like to see the other two items just click here and read the posts!
I have not come up with what I am going to ask you to comment on in the post on New Year's Day but I'm sure I will come up with something unusual!!! LOL
Have a wonderful weekend,
Wanda

Blogoversary!
Today is my "Blogoversary!" I wasn't even paying attention to the counter! I began this blog on November 6, 2006. WOW it really doesn't seem like it's been that long. I am still loving every minute of it and still have LOTS more to share with you all!
Now for a what to do to celebrate. I gave this some thought and I'm going to post a stamp set tomorrow but this is going to be a "progressive" gift! In the past I have always added more "stuff" to the package before I send it out to the winner. But this year I'm going to post the new items every week until New Year's Day. Then on New Year's Day you can leave your comments there for the drawing! And of course I'll have some silly little question for you to comment on!!
So starting tomorrow and then every Friday after that I will post the items up for grabs including the new one I add on New Year's Day!! It will be fun and it will give me time to find a box for all this fun stuff someone is going to be starting the New Year off with!!! SO be sure to stay tuned!
Have a fun day! It's sunny and in the upper 50's right now in Minnesota. The wind is blowing but that's ok it's too beautiful out to complain about that! I have a few windows left to clean in my fall cleaning routine so it's a good day for that! SO I'm off to do that, not so fun but when I'm done I get to spend my afternoon in my workroom (I LOVE being in there)! I have been asked by many of you to see photos of my workroom. Well.... it's been such a mess lately that I don't like anyone seeing it. But I am in the process of organizing and cleaning up things. I got new counters for the cubes I ordered from Oriental Trading and it's WONDERFUL. It's nice to have solid work surfaces! They look fabulous too! Oh and they sure do hold a lot of junk. I dumped a lot of "stuff" in them that needs sorting too. SO much to do but I'd rather stamp. And thus you have the reason why the room is so disorganized!! I mean, be real. Which would you rather do? Clean or stamp? LOL
Have a wonderful day and stay tuned for the BIG Blog Candy!

It's Time For Some Blog Candy!!!

Anyway, it's all charged up and now I have the photo of the rubber stamps that are for today's Blog Candy. As usual I add extra things to the package before it's mailed off and I NEVER disclose what I add but no one has been disappointed with what I have added yet!!!
These clear stamp sets are by Scrappy Cat. The larger set is called "Tween Scene" and the smaller one is called "To Cheer You." I LOVE the flowers, hearts and butterflies in the larger set and the words in the smaller set are SO much fun to play with!! The two sets can be used together!
Ok, so now you want to know how you can get these sets plus the other mystery gifts!!! I usually as a question of you and you leave your comment. There are never any right or wrong answers, it's all done by a random drawing.
SO here it goes. The question has to deal with "The Song of the Day." What??? It's something hubby and I usually ask each other. There is usually some song rambling around in our heads that is just STUCK there ALL day long. Ever have that??? My dear friend Katie gave me one that has stuck with me off and on for quite a few days. Thank you Katie my dear!!! She had called me and I wasn't home so she left a message. In her message she started singing "Call me, da da da da da da call me." Well, that stuck in my head the moment I heard it and it returned a few times since then. Oh and of course it's now up there right now torturing me!!! LOL And a good sunny day will bring to mind the Sesame Street "Sunny Day" song. That one plays a very long time too!!! LOL
What is your "song of the day?" You can add how it got there if you like. It's interesting how they find their way there. Right Katie?? LOL
I will draw a name on Thursday using the Random Number Generator. If I don't hear from the winner by Sunday I will hold a second chance drawing on Monday!!! SO pay attention!!!
Please leave your song of the day to this post only.
Have fun!

It's Time For Some Blog Candy!!!
Last week my blog reached 800,000 hits. Can you imagine?? How fabulous is that? So we must celebrate that milestone in my blogging. And we'll celebrate with not one clear stamp set but two!
These are Scrappy Cat stamps. One is called "Tween Scene" and the smaller one is called "To Cheer You.'
These are such fun sets. I LOVE the hearts, flowers and butterflies in the larger set and I LOVE all the words in the smaller set. They're both just SO cute.
I went to take photos of them so I could post them here but the battery is dead on my camera. We had gone to Fawn-Doe-Rosa today and I took SO many photos. What a fun place that was. It was fun to see the animals up close and pet most of them. I really liked the feel of the sheep. It felt like a fuzzy bathroom rug!!! LOL The goat's eyes kind of creeped me out. The black center is not round like most animals have it's more of a rectangle. And there were a couple of goats I found extremely entertaining. There was this little guy who was so tiny he could fit through a gap in the fences and when you'd get close to him he'd slip back in. I got some photos, thought I might show the management and bust the little guy and maybe get a season pass!!! LOL The gap in the fence was so small you would never guess he could fit through. A bit more grazing on the grass on the other side of the fence and he won't be able to make it back!!! LOL
And then there was this goat, he was small but the noise he made was SO loud and SO deep that it just didn't fit him and it cracked me up. Every time I heard him I just started laughing!!. Anyway, they are the reason my battery is dead. It is charging now and I'm hoping that by the time this is posted in your email box that everything is here.
I will not be posting the "game" I'm playing for the blog candy until after the photos are posted so please don't post a comment here in the event I need to scrap this post and redo it later or tomorrow.
Thanks SO much,
Wanda

It's Time For Some Blog Candy!!!

Here are some fun Clear Stamps by Scrappy Cat. This set is called "Teen Scene." It has a retail value of $14.00 It's of course brand new and waiting just for you!!!
I know you're asking yourself "How do I get this set?" Well, as usual you must answer some silly little question that is rambling around in my brain. LOL And this time the question is:
Are you a scrapbooker or a card maker? You can even be both! At this moment I am a card maker but I have stepped outside my comfort zone and have purchased a scrapbook album!!! I have gone as far as opening it up and looking inside at all the shiny blank pages!!! It's a step. Granted it isn't a big one but this is a HUGE challenge for me. Wish me luck on it!!! LOL
I will draw a name on Tuesday evening June 23, 2009. Please only enter once and do not include an email address. Enter on this post only. You must check back on Wednesday to see if you have won!! As usual I collect other fun stamping and scrapbooking items that I add to the package before it's mailed. I never disclose what else comes in the envelope but I do know no one has been disappointed yet!!
SO what is it? Cards, scrapbooking or both? Oh possible even neither, just someone who loves to look at blogs!!! I don't want to not include those of you who love to read blogs!! Anyone may enter!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today and good luck to you!

Time For Some Blog Candy!!!

And again you know nothing is ever free. To be entered in the random drawing you need to leave a comment on this post only. And what is the theme of the comment???? Well, with spring almost over and summer just around the corner I think something about the seasons would be good!!! SO here's your question!!! Are you a spring or summer person?
As for me, I'm a spring person. Actually I'm a winter person but since the choices are spring or summer I have to pick spring. I don't do summer well at all. I do tan well but right now I'm so white I think I would catch fire if I went out in the sun!!! LOL I don't like to be hot and once the temps rise enough that I can't cool off the air conditioner comes on and it will run until the summer is over. Once in a great while it will get shut down because of a cool front but it's rare. I need to move to Canada for my summers, way up north in Canada!!! I would love it.
Leave your comment here by midnight Wednesday May 27th. I will go to the Random Number Generator website and enter in how may comments are left here and have it pick a winner. Only one comment per person please. If you accidentally hit enter twice I do moderate my comments and I can delete the extra one for you. You do need to check back on Thursday evening to see if you are the lucky winner!!
Oh and in that Blog Candy box were other items too. I find little stamping and scrapbooking things and add them to the Blog Candy as the "game" is going on!! And I'm sure I'll be adding more things to until Wednesday!!
Good luck to you!!
Wanda
