Flowering Foils, Wonderful Moments, Birthday Card

I found this pretty card on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  I did make a couple of minor changes.  And no, not the piece of backing from my square dimensional.  LOL I did not see that when I was taking the photo and I thought about retaking the photo but I decided to leave it there to show you that I'm really not a perfectionist!!! LOL

There was not a whole lot of instructions on the link so I just winged it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and I textured it using the "Layered Leaves" 3D embossing folder.  I LOVE this folder and it was the closest think I had to what the original card used.  I thought leaves would be a great background anyway.  I taped that to the card base.

Next I fussy cut the flowers from the "Flowering Foils" 12" x 12" paper pack. I colored the flowers in by sponging on Flirty Flamingo ink.  And the leaves were sponged in using Pear Pizzazz ink.  Those two colors were on the original card, I was able to scroll down to the supplies to purchase list and saw the colors.

The words are from the "Wonderful Moments" stamp set. I stamped them on a 1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Whisper White using black Memento ink.

I colored a 2-1/2" piece of the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon using the Flirty Flamingo Blends pen.

I taped the words to the ribbon.  Then I trimmed the edges of the ribbon.

I added my small square Dimensionals to the ribbon and I set it in place on the card.  And that was it.

This was a very simple and quick card to make.  I have LOTS of the "Flowering Foils" paper left and I plan on making more cards like this. I will change the words to make a get well, Mother's Day, thinking of you, and a get well card.  I think all of those would be great on this card.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today.  Be safe and stay healthy,

Flowering Foils, Wonderful Moments, Waterfront, Birthday Card

I found a video on the internet that used the "Flowering Foils" Designer Series Paper for the focal part of the card.  You can see that video here. I found it a bit difficult to follow at times because I didn't feel she was totally organized and she didn't always say what color she was using. And I didn't get the measurement of the strip till it was too late.  I will provide you with the instructions as I made it and you can visit the video to learn how to tie that fun bow.  There's several cards on that video so you will need to find this one somewhere after the first third mark.

The base of the card I guessed was a folded half-sheet of Pool Party.

The next layer is Pear Pizzazz and it was cut at 5" x 3-3/4".

The Whisper White card stock was cut at 4-7/8" x 3-5/8".

That strip is from the Flowering Foils and cut it at 1". I just kind of eyed it and mine was almost 1" wide.  And it needs to be cut at 4-7/8". Mine came out a bit short. I could have cut the strip and hid the seam under the flower but I didn't think of that until now. But it looks okay the way it is.

The dots were stamped using the image from the "Waterfront" set and Pear Pizzazz ink.  You can see the placement of it in the video. It was only stamped three times on the Whisper White piece.

The layers were taped down and then the strip. There is also a punched strip added on the bottom right edge of the strip.  Add that before you set the strip in place.

The words are from the "Wonderful Moments" set.  The original card used the "congratulations" from the "Here's a Card" set.

I added some snail tape to the center of the flower and then wrapped some silver thread around my fingers and then stuck them to the back of the flower.

Dimensionals were added to the flower and the flower was set in place.

Crystal rhinestones were added to the background.

The bow was from the "Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon" spool. It was colored using the light Pool party Blends pen.  It doesn't take long to dry and you can color that ribbon to match all of your cards.  Well, as long as there's a Blends pen to match!  You may want to watch the video on how to make that bow. It's a fun and easy way to make it. That part gets a thumbs up in my book.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I really like the looks of this card. The colors are what really caught my eye.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today. I hope you are all still well and safe.

Well Dressed, Little Ladybug, Masculine Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration Catalog

I found this card on Pinterest.  I didn't find any instructions on how to make it so you will have to see/read how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue card stock.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and I sponged on some Pool Party towards the top and some Balmy Blue in was sponged on the middle and towards the bottom.

Next I stamped the "V" looking image from the "Well Dressed" set using Smoky Slate ink that was stamped off once.

I stamped the words from the same set using Night of Navy ink. The words are from the "Little Ladybug" set.

I took my Night of Navy marker and flicked some color on the piece.  It needed some splats.

I stamped the necktie from the "Well Dressed" set using Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.  When the ink dried, I fussy cut the tie.  Actually, I fussy cut the tie first and set it aside to make sure it was dry. I had set it up in my Stamparatus and stamped it a couple of times because my ink pad is drying up.

I taped the Whisper White piece to the Balmy Blue piece and I taped them both to the card base.

I set tie in place using Dimensionals. So this is my version of how the card was made. The original looks like it was made to be a square card.  Mine is a standard size card.

Another quick and simple card.

Well Dressed, Happy Birthday To You, Masculine Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration Catalog

Today's card is absolutely the most quickest and simplest card to make.  If the had would have had a die cut it would have been even faster!!!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock.

On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.

I stamped the words from the Sale-a-Bration set, "Happy Birthday to You" using Night of Navy ink.

I stamped the hat from the "Well Dressed" Sale-a-Bration set using Night of Navy card stock. I colored the hat in using the dark Crumb Cake Blends pen.  Then I fussy cut the hat. There's no matching dies with this set.

I taped the Whisper White piece to the card base.

I set the hat in place using a couple of small Dimensionals. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I told you it was quick and simple.  And there's something about it that I REALLY like too!

Thank you ever SO much for taking your time to stop by today,

Well Dressed, Little Ladybug, Masculine Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration

I followed yesterday's card layout and thought I would try it with the new set I got on Thursday. I haven't had time to play with it because I've been sewing masks for our local hospital. I had to quit after a thumb issue. I had a run in with a chair and my nail bent back about 1/4", ripped from the nail bed.  I spoke French!!  Like a trucker!!! LOL  It stings so bad. I sewed for a while last night but I had to stop because every time I removed a pin I would forget that I shouldn't be using my thumb.  I took one for the team!!! I have 25 masks to deliver. I wish it were more. Hopefully, well not really, they might want more and open up some more days in the near future. I say well, not really because I don't want more cases to develop.  But I will volunteer again if need be.

But today I played with the new set. It's kind of sad because it's a Sale-a-Bration set and Sale-a-Bration ends on the 31st.  SO tomorrow's card may be made using this set too.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the image from the "Well Dressed" set on the piece using Balmy Blue ink. I stamped it across the card 4 times. I didn't get it quite straight but if you don't look too hard you won't really notice.  I know you are now looking!!! LOL

I textured the card stock using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  It gives it the look of linen card stock. Fun and a great texture for a guy card.

I sponged some Balmy Blue on the textured piece to give it a bit of color and make the texture show more.

I stamped the words from the "Little Ladybug" set using Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then I die cut it with the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies.

I set the piece in my Stamparatus and I stamped the neck tie. I was glad I set it up in there because my pad is a bit dry. I did have to ink it twice.

I colored the collar and the white spaces on the tie with my Balmy Blue maker.   I set it aside.

I stamped the hat from the same set and I fussy cut it out. I colored it using the Dark Crumb Cake Blends pen.

I set the Stitched Nested Label piece in place using Dimenisonals.  Then I added the hat using Dimensionals on the right side and some snail tape on the left.   And that was it.  Super simple, quick and a great guy card.

Thoughtful Blooms, Thank You Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration

Today's card comes from a card I found on the internet.  It has a nice and easy "follow along" video too.  The video for this card is about 2/3rds into the video. She offers three cards to make and this is the last one.You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. I didn't have any thick card stock that was used in the original card.

Then I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the three lines on it using Night of Navy ink and the image from the "Thoughtful Blooms" set.  Then the piece was textured using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  The piece was taped to the front of the card base.

Then a Very Vanilla piece was die cut using the second largest "Stitched Nested Labels" die.

The leaves image were stamped using Crumb Cake ink.  Then the little flowers were added using Balmy Blue ink.  And the larger flowers were made by stamping the large flower image using Night of Navy ink on Night of Navy card stock.  The flowers were punched out and set in place on the die cut piece using glue dots.  Then the words were stamped using Early Espresso ink. The words are from the same set.

The pearls were colored using the dark Balmy Blue Blends pen. They were set in place on the center of each flower. And the piece was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

It's a very simple card to make. I think it was the colors that drew me to it.  I was glad I made it, I really like the looks of this card.

Sending You Thoughts, Flowering Foils, Get Well Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I was surfing the net and I found a fun card to color on Pinterest.  I liked how quick you could make a card and I liked the colors.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the "Flowering Foils" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 2020 Sale-a-Bration book.

I colored the flowers with Petal Pink using a sponge.

Then I colored the flowers again using Calypso Coral ink and a sponge. I made sure I left the Petal Pink color on the edges and mostly colored towards the centers of each flower.

I colored the center of each flower with the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

I sponged Old Olive on the leave.  And I sponged Calypso Coral on the buds.  And the coloring was done.

I stamped the words from the "Sending You Thoughts" Sale a Bration catalog.  I used black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.

I die cut the words with the "Stampin' Cut & Emboss" dies.  I used the third smallest for the words and the next one larger for the Old Olive layer.  I taped the two pieces together and I added Dimensionals to the back.

I took some Old Olive ribbon that I had (it's retired) and I put it down on the card where the words are to go. I did add a little snail tape to hold it in place while I worked it to get it the way I wanted it to look.

I set the word panel in place and the card was done.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I stamped "you'd be better already" on the inside.  It was in the same "Sending you Thoughts" set.

It was a very fun and quick card to make. I love it that you can sponge on this paper and it looks really pretty!  Sponging is so quick and easy.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,

Little Ladybug, Best Dressed DSP, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

I have been seeing a lot of cards on Pinterest that have the Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut at an angle so I thought I would give it a try today. I have done this before but it's been a while.  It's simple enough to do too.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the DSP from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper stack.  I made two cards because of the way the DSP was cut.  I cut the DSP at 2-1/8" on right side and 3-3/4" on the left side.

I stamped the "Buffalo Plaid" image using Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White card stock.  I cut the stamped image 4" x 5-1/4".  I set the DSP piece on top so I could mark it to get the angle right for the card front.  One piece was a little shorter but that is okay, just go for it!

I did cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I taped the DSP to the top part of it and I taped the Buffalo Plaid piece to the bottom of it.  There was a little big of a gap on the second card front but it got hidden by the 1/4" strip of Old Olive card stock.  That piece measured 1/4" x 5-1/2".  I just grabbed a quarter sheet and cut it off from there. I glued the strip in place over the seam and gap.  You may want to see if you need your strip a little wider or not.  But this is where you hide that gap!

Next I stamped the words from the "Little Ladybug" Sale-a-Bration set. I stamped them directly on the card front using black Memento ink

Then I taped the panel to the front of the card.

I punched out two large and two small daisies per card using Whisper White card stock. I glued them together.

I punched out the Old Olive leaves using the "Leaf" punch. I glued one to the back of the large daisy and after I set the daisy in place using a Dimensional, I glued the other one just under it.  Then I set the small daisy in place using a Dimensional as well.

I added the gold "Faceted Gems" to the center of each flower.  I needed to use more of these.  I'm guessing they will expire soon.  But if they do, I will probably still use them until they are used up.  I'm not hanging on to expired things like this if I can help it.

The card was done and ready for the person it was made for!  Plus I have a spare!

Beautiful Bouquet, Flowering Foils, So Very Vellum, Birthday Card

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  I hadn't put away the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from yesterday's card.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "So Very Vellum" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I used snail tape to set it in place.

Then I fussy cut the flower cluster from the "Flowering Foils" 12" x 12" DSP paper pack.

I colored the flowers by using a sponge and ink pads.

I had sponged the leaves using Old Olive ink.  I sponged the flowers using Petal Pink ink.  And the center of the flowers were colored using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.  I had colored the buds using Petal Pink in, but I colored over them with the Blends pen.  It just punched up the color a bit more.

The words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set and I stamped them using Old Olive ink.  I punched them out with the 1-3/8" circle punch.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals.  And I used Dimensionals on the back of the word circle.  I slipped the circle under the flower and leaf before pressing it in place.

This was a very fun and easy card to make. I have LOTS of flowers left in the package to play with. I need to surf the net for some more ideas because I'm having trouble thinking of things on my own when I have busy weeks.

I thank you ever so much for taking the time to visit today,

Varied Vases, Flowering Foils DSP, So Very Vellum DSP, Birthday Card

To make this card, you will need to fussy cut. I am not a big fan of fussy cutting, but if the card is pretty for fun, I will give it a shot.  I've been spoiled by the matching dies and find fussy cutting so cumbersome. I found a card on Pinterest and I REALLY liked it but I didn't have all of the supplies to make it so I changed the colors and this is what I came up with.  You can see the original card here.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I taped a piece of the Sale-a-Bration "So Very Vellum"  12
x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack to the front. I chose the Soft Sea Foam DSP and I cut it at 4" x 5-1/4".

I fussy cut the flower from the Sale-a-Bration "Flowering Foils" 12"x 12" paper pack.

I colored the flower using the dark Seaside Spray, light Old Olive, dark Petal Pink and light Highland Heather Blends pens.  I used the Highland Heather in the center of the flower and on a few areas where it's a little bit darker, like inside petals.  Next I colored the Petal Pink pen just above the Highland Heather coloring.  Then I colored the whole flower using the dark Petal Pink Blends pen.  The leaves were colored using the Old Olive pen and the berries/buds were colored using the dark Highland Heather pen.  I tried coloring with the ink pad and a blender pen but it left funny marks on the paper.  I was able to color over those marks with the Blends pen and the don't show now.

I cut a 5/8" x 3-5/8" strip of Seaside Spray card stock and taped it to the vellum.

I set the flower in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Varied Vases" set. I stamped them on Whisper White card stock and punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch.  I set the words in place using tape on the right side and a couple of small Dimensionals on the left side.

I colored some rhinestones using the dark Old Olive Blends pen and the dark Seaside Spray Blends pen.  I set them in place on the card and the card was done.

I'm all set for my sister's birthday next week.  YAY! I'm still on time with all of my cards this year (so far!).

I have also been working both ends of the calendar.  What does that mean?  It means that I'm working on my Christmas cards. I've got about 1/4th of them done.  I have 2 birthdays to deal with in November, so I will be making cards for those, and so on. I should meet up at the end of June, right?  LOL  I just don't want to be stressed come December with the shopping, wrapping, baking (I don't do much but it's become more of a chore as I've gotten older), decorating and then the cards.  So with the cards out of the way I will have less stress.  And maybe I can bake and freeze some things in November!  I'm just trying to simplify my life.  I've already made the granddaughters their Christmas ornaments.  I'll share them on here next week.  I've got a lot of things going on right now. I'd have to schedule it!!! LOL

Anyway, back to my card. I just need to add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and I'm ready to write in it and put it on her package!  Yup, the shopping was done too!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda

Painted Poppies, Here's a Card, Lily Impressions, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I had gotten the package of "Lily Impressions" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Stampin' Up! 2020 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I didn't get the set to go with it, I just got the free paper.  I had been to a Stamp a Stack where this paper was used on the background and I liked it, so I thought I would give it a try.  And this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  On top of  that is a 5-1/4" x 2-3/8" of the "Lily Impressions" DSP.  I taped the DSP strip to the left side of the card front.  There's LOTS of pretty colors of this DSP. I was thinking of using the red one but the green just called me.

I stamped the flower image from the "Painted Poppies" set using black Memento ink. I colored it in using both the light and dark Poppy Parade Blends pens and the light Old Olive Blends pen.

I die cut the piece using the Rectangle Stitched dies.

I cut a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic Black for the layer. I taped the two layers together and then taped them to the front of the card, centering it as much as I could.

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I punched them with a 1-1/2" circle punch and I also punched a Basic Black piece using a 1-3/4" circle punch. I taped the two circles together and I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I was going to add a black bow but I thought it would get lost in the blackness of this card. A Poppy Parade colored bow might be pretty just under the words but I didn't have any Poppy Parade ribbon.  SO I just left it as it is.  I think it's a simply sweet looking card.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I am hoping to find some more fun images that will work well with this paper because I have a whole package of it and I need to use it up.

Thank you SO much for the time to stop by today,
Wanda

Little Ladybug, Bonanza Buddies, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I was cleaning off my worktable and found this flower that was already stamped.

I colored the flower using the light and dark Blends Pens.  I colored the leaves using the light and dark Old Olive Blends Pens.  The center of the flower using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

I had used the "Stitched Rectangles" dies to cut the flower out.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

On top of that I used a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "lily Impressions" 12" x 12" pack from the 2020 Sale-a-Brations catalog.

I set the flower in place using Dimensionals.  I centered it evenly on all sides.

I love the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" set.  It's another Sale-a-Bration item.  I think I may be hanging onto that set for a while just because of those words.

I stamped the words using black Memento in on Whisper White card stock.  I die cut the circle and and then I die cut an Old Olive scalloped circle. I taped the two together.  I set the word in place with tape and Dimensionals.

I added a tiny rhinestone on the flower because I thought it needed something.  And that finished off the card.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,

Thoughtful Blooms, Itty Bitty Greetings, Mother's Day Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

You won't be sitting long at your work space with this card.  Especially if you use some parts that were just sitting around. This is a very quick and fairly easy card to make.  I say fairly easy because the lines can be a bit tricky.  But I will help you through this.

The base of the card, actually the whole card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I took a gift card and I centered it on the front of the card base.  I lightly traced around it with a pencil.  You don't need to trace around the whole gift card, just the bottom will be enough.

Using that bottom line, I stamped the words from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set with black Memento ink.

I had the flower sitting on my worktable because I tend to stamp and punch a few extra because I often lose them or get something on them.  Sometimes I even find them on my sleeve when I think they just disappeared into thin air.  So I will start where most of you will be starting. Find a fun color of ink, grab one of your favorites.  Here I used Flirty Flamingo.  Stamp the flower from the "Thoughtful Blooms" set onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.

Add a Dimensional to the back of the flower.

Check the words on your card and make sure they are dry before you set the gift card back on top.

Now trace around the gift card using the Basic Black marker.  Not a Blends Pen. You want the marker.  Here's where I had trouble but I will spare you this anguish.  I needed to go all around the whole gift card (except for the bottom part) but I had to figure out a way to do it without stopping. So I held the gift card at the bottom and began (I'm right handed) on the left side of my left hand and then traced all the way around the card to the bottom, ending with the pen line by the right side of my left hand. I held the gift card in place with just my three fingers.  No pinky extended or it will get in your way.  I tried this three times and the third time got it right.  If you stop with your pen it will be noticeable.  But it wasn't until after I saw the finished card that I realized I didn't need to hold the gift card like that.  I could trace from the left side to the upper left corner.  The flower will hide any dot that the pen will make from stopping.  And I could reposition my hand to do the other sides.  A big DUH was heard in my workroom.  I would not have ruined the other two if I had giving this a bit more thought.  And as I look at the card, I do like the black but maybe green might be pretty too.

I waited a few minutes before I erased any pencil lines.  I wanted to make sure all the ink and marker lines were dry. I didn't want another mess.  SO (are you sitting?) I put away my stamp sets, inks and clear blocks!  Yup, you read that right. I actually put something away!! LOL

Your next step will be to add the leaves. I used Granny Apple Green.  I set the flower on the corner so I could see where I wanted the leaves to go. I inked up the stamp, moved the flower and then stamped the leaves.  I did the same for the single leaf.

Then I removed the paper from the back of the Dimensional on my flower and I set the flower in place.

I added a small pearl to the center of the flower and the card was done.

Sweet and simple, easy (now that you know the trick to the lines) and fun!!  I like this layout (now) and I think it will be fun for birthdays, thinking of you, get well and thank you cards.  Can you see a Seaside Spray snowflake in the corner, with Seaside Spray lines and a holiday greeting at the bottom????  I'm thinking super quick and easy Christmas cards for December!!!

Now go make one or a dozen!!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by today,
Wanda

Thoughtful Blooms, Little Ladybug, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  You can see the original here.  I tried to find more info on this card but the link didn't take me to anything so I had to use what I thought was used.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a stitched rectangle that measures about 4" x 2-5/8".  I say about because it could be off by 1/16" or so. But this is close and if I didn't have the dies I would just cut my card stock 4" x 2-5/8".

I stamped the greenery on the die cut piece first using Granny Apple Green ink.

Then I stamped the greenery on the left side of the card and then the right side.

I stamped the large flowers on a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock using Daffodil Delight ink.  I punched them out using the matching punch.  If you don't have the punch, you can just fussy cut them.

Next I stamped the tiny flower that looked like the larger one, using Daffodil Delight ink there too.

The words are from the "Little Ladybug" set and I stamped them using Smoky Slate ink.

I set the rectangle in place using Dimensionals.  I just made sure I centered it as evenly as I could.

Then I added the punched flowers using Dimensionals.

I added small pearls to the center of each flower and three around the flower on the rectangle piece.  And the card was done.

I am REALLY going to miss this set when it retires at the end of the month.  It's easy enough to work with and it makes a super quick card.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda

Thoughtful Blooms, Varied Vases, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

Today's card was a very fun card to make.  And it's a lot easier on the eyes than yesterday's "I need eye bleach" card!!!  I found this card here on Pinterest.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I taped a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "From My Heart" 12" x 12" paper pack to the bottom of the Whisper White piece.

I stamped the diamond shaped strip above the DSP using Flirty Flamingo ink.  I set this up in my Stamparatus because I wanted to get it straight.

Then I stamped the leaf image from the "Thoughtful Blooms" set using Real Red ink.

I stamped the dotted image from the same set using Flirty Flamingo. I stamped it on three of the stems.

The words are from the "Varied Vases" set and were stamped using Real Red ink.

The flower was stamped on Flirty Flamingo card stock using Real Red ink.  I punched it out using the matching punch.

I taped the Whisper White piece to the card base.  Then I set the flower in place using a Dimensional.  I added a rhinestone to the center of the flower and two more on the Whisper White piece.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.

Isn't this just a sweet card?  When I saw it I knew I had to make it.

Good Morning Magnolia, Here's a Card, 2020 Sale-a-Bration

Today's card was a pretty simple one to make.  I like those clean and simple looking cards.  I found this layout here.  I changed the orientation only because my flower faced the left.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

The top layer was cut at 5-1/2" x 3-3/4".

I cut a strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 5-1/2" x 3/8".

I sponged the bottom corner of the top layer using Bermuda Bay ink.

I stamped the flower from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using black Memento ink.  I colored the leaves and stem using both the light and dark Blends pens.

I colored in the flower using the light Bermuda Bay Blends pen and I sponged in the rest of the flower using Bermuda Bay ink.

The word is from the "Here's a Card" set. I stamped it using black Memento ink.

I taped a 3/8" x 5-1/2" piece of DSP from the "Lily Impressions" 12" x 12" pack that is available as a Sale-a-Bration item.  I have not used any of the pieces in this pack and at 3/8" it will take forever to use it up!!! LOL  When I taped the strip down I used my grid paper to help me line up the strip evenly.  I ran snail across the back of the Whisper White piece and using the grid as a guide, I slowly and gently set the strip in place. Without the grid I might have gotten it crooked.

I taped a 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White to the back of the piece to give it some more stability, especially on the DSP side.  I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the card base.  And that was it.  Pretty easy.  The toughest part was getting that strip on and using a grid made that part easy too!

I really like how this card looks and I think I'd like to try this layout again sometime.  Maybe using something die cut in the corner???

Thoughtful Blooms, Sending you Thoughts, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

I found this simple card while surfing the net.  I pretty much copied it as it was just using different colors.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was cut for the top layer.

I taped off the left side with some Washi tape. I taped off about 1-1/2".  I sponged Bermuda Bay ink on that left side.

Then I stamped Bermuda Bay tiny flowers from the "Thoughtful Blooms" 2020 Sale-a-Bration set.  I just scattered them around that sponged area.  I set it aside to dry.

I took a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock and stamped the tiny inside flower part using Bermuda Bay.  Make sure you stamp far enough up from the edge so you can punch the whole flower out.  I started too close to the edge and I couldn't get the whole flower in the punch.  I centered the stamped tiny image and then punched it.  You will need at least 7 of them. I used 7 and the original card had 7.

I set those flowers in place using a dot of glue.  Glue dots or snail tape should work too. I just used what the original card maker said they used.

Next I stamped the "happy birthday" from the "Sending You Thoughts" stamp set using black Memento ink.

I added pearls to the center of each flower.

Then I set the panel in place on the card base using Dimensionals.  And that was it. It's a very quick, easy and simple card to make.

Thoughtful Blooms, Here's a Card, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

Here's a pretty card I found on the internet.  I liked the colors. I don't use the Granny Apple Green much and this was a perfect card to do so.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Granny Apple Green. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  On the bottom of that piece is a 4" x 3" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock that was textured using the "Lace" embossing folder. I do not have the new machine that takes these 3D folders but I was able to make my machine work using the thick cardboard that comes in my Paper Pumpkin kit and my magnetic platform only. No other plates.  You can also use the thick cardboard that comes in your glitter paper or other specialty papers. You can always use the thinner cardboard (box board) from other papers or a cereal box, but you will have to use two or three to get the right thickness.  I glued on my textured piece because I don't feel that tape holds well with all of those open areas where it doesn't make contact to the card stock.

I taped a piece of ribbon around the card and taped the ends on the backside using scotch tape. Then I taped the whole piece to the card base.

I stamped the swirl of leaves from the "Thoughtful Blooms" Sale-a-Bration catalog using Granny Apple Green ink.  Then I stamped some tiny flowers using Flirty Flamingo ink.

I thought the background on the circle could use a bit of punching up so I stamped some Smoky Slate dots from the same set.  I die cut it with the second largest circle die and I also die cut a scalloped circle for the back layer. I taped those two layers together.

I stamped the larger flower on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and punched it out using the matching punch in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I set the flower in place using a Dimensional.

I set the circle layers in place using Dimensionals.  Then I added the pearls. I did color the pearl of the larger flower using the light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen.

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set.  They were stamped using black Memento ink.  I cut the strip to 1" long by 3-1/2". I tried to get the words as centered as possible.  Then I used the "Triple Banner" punch and punched the ends.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.

I love the colors here. I think the bottom could use some other texture but this is what I thought would look good and ran with it.  It was fun to make and I can see myself making more using this layout.

Sending You Thoughts, Happy Birthday to You, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

Today's card is made from leftovers!  I had time to put my February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit together and I had parts leftover.  Some intentional and some made by me.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I punched out the Whisper White edging using the "Decorative Ribbon" border punch.

I took the striped Rococo Rose paper from the Paper Pumpkin kit.  It was supposed to me a whole card but I took that paper and I cut it in half. I didn't really like the back of the card to look like the front.  Then I ended up with three 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of this color paper. I was going to make three cards like this but I thought I would pace myself here and see what else I could come up with first.  I taped that strip to the Rococo Rose piece that I had cut 1" up on the left and 2" up on the right.  After taping the strip on, I taped the piece to the card base.  Then I trimmed each side of the card, making sure the edges of the ribbon piece were flush with the sides. I used this layout on the card I made on Thursday.

I fussy cut the cake from the "Happy Birthday to You" Sale-a-Bration set and I colored it in using the Rococo Rose ink pad cube that came with my Paper Pumpkin kit. I used my blender pen to color in the flowers.  I used my dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen to color in the center of the flowers. The Daffodil Delight light Blends for the cake frosting.  And I used the light Smoky Slate Blends pen for the cake stand. I did use my Smoky Slate marker and colored some dark areas on the cake stand. I also used my Pear Pizzazz marker for the leaves.

I stamped the words from the "Sending You Thoughts" using black Memento ink.

I took the leftover punched out circle and taped it to the front of the card on top of the Rococo Rose colored paper.  Then I set the cake in place using Dimensionals. I added some leftover sequins to the circle and the card was done.

It was fun, I like this layout and I was glad I was able to use the papers from my Paper Pumpkin kit.  So my kit now made 10 (+) cards. I still have 8 more pieces of papers to use up from the kit.  Well, knowing that now, I may just make two more of this card and move on to the next color!!  If and when I do, I will share it with you here.

Thank you so much for taking a peek today,

Happy Birthday to You, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration Set

Here's another card I made using the "Happy Birthday to You" 2020 Sale-a-Bration set.  I am starting to like this cake image more and more.  I especially LOVE the font!!!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that I layered some Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the ""Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper stack.  I want to try to use larger pieces from there but these fell out when I picked up the pack, so I ran with them.

The flowery one measures 3-1/2" x 2" with a 3-3/8" x 2-1/8" layer of Whisper White behind it.

The dotted layer measures 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" with a 3-3/8" x 1-7/8" piece of Whisper White behind it.  I taped those two layers to the front of the card.  The floral one is 1/4" from the side and 1/4" from the top.

I taped the dotted layer to the floral layer.  It's 1-1/4" from the folded edge of the card base and 1" from the top edge of the card base.

I stamped the cake using black Memento ink in Whisper White card stock.

Next I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday to You" set using black Memento ink. I did set it up in my Stamparatus so I could add more ink to the stamp if I had to and I did have to. My ink pad was a little dryer than I like it.

I fussy cut the cake out.  The ink had a little time to dry so it didn't smear when I cut it out.

I colored in the flowers using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends pens. I colored the leaves with the light Old Olive Blends pen. I colored in the center of the flowers with the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen. I colored the cake with the light Daffodil Delight Blends pen.  And I colored the cake stand using the light Smoky Slate Blends pen.

I set the cake in place using Dimenisonals and the card was done.

Such a fun card and I LOVE the DSP.
