Poor Vivian

A fellow demonstrator and blogger Vivian has been in the hospital for over a week. She is now home but is feeling very depressed. Get well cards would really cheer her up and she is offering Blog Candy too!!! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

I received this beautiful Valentine's Day card from one of my readers. And I know you all know how I hate to mention names on here!!! LOL Thank you SO much Pat S. for the fabulous card. As I keep looking at the tiny hearts in the center of the larger ones I can't help but think of nail decor. It reminds me of the fingernail decals I got one time from Wal-Mart. I'm going to have to check that out next time I go shopping. I'm always looking for something different that not many people are using on their cards. I also love how you used the Cuddlebug folder on the background paper. It gave it a nice texture along with the design. It's such a pretty card. I have stampers here on Saturday and I'm going to put it on display for all of them to see!

RAK Cards

RAK (Random Acts of Kindness)

With a little nudge from my friend Sara over at Sara's Studio, I joined the RAK group at Splitcoaststampers. I have received a few cards and would like to share them all with you.

Once this week is over I will be sending these wonderful gals a card back. I'm new to this RAK thing at SCS so I can't fill you in on it. Sara is thrilled with it so it must be a good thing!!! LOL

The plum one is from Kathy K, welcoming me to the RAK group.

And this last one, Happy Holidays I just got in the mail today from Sara D.

Aren't all of these cards just fabulous???? And it's fun to see what states they come from. All across the country here!!

I feel SO lucky to have received them. When I figure out what this RAK group is all about I will let you know. Until then I'll share the wonderful cards I receive. And of course I'll post the cards I will be sending on off to them too!!!

Last week I got this wonderful package in the mail from Pat S. She was one of my Blog Candy winners. Pictured here are items from Kentucky! How fun!! She sent me a Ruth Hunt candy bar and added that they are listed in Steve Almond's book, "Sweets Worth the Travel Time." And the most famous is the Blue Monday Bar. And that's what she sent me!!! Can't wait to try it!! And an Old-Fashioned Sugar Stick made in home-made copper kettles. There's an Ale8 sucker. Ale8 is also a soft drink that is similar to ginger ale but with a caffeine kick! More popular down there among the students than Coke or Pepsi!! Must be powerful if the kids prefer it over those two popular brands. Along with these she wrote a nice letter and look at the BEAUTIFUL card she sent too!!! This package REALLY made my day. Last week was such a hectic week. I was getting ready for the craft fair on the 3rd. It was a fun day but the few days before it are SO busy and it always seems that someone wants a piece of your time. In reality they didn't want any more time than they usually do, you just notice it more when your in a time crunch!! But it's all done now and I have to sort out boxes (I never put things away nice when I'm packing up from an event!!) and get them in storage for next year. There's not much left after I donate some to charity.

Most Fridays I go with my son to lunch and a movie. Today it was just lunch. I got home to find this adorable scarecrow hanging on the handle of my front door. Who did it???

Isn't it the most adorable thing? I took off the "welcome" sunflower hanging on the front of the house and put the scarecrow up. I just love it. Fess up, who did it!!!

RAK Gift

I received this from Emily at Stamping and Stuff. If you're into scrapbooking, she has TONS of fabulous pages. She's quite the artist!

This is a post it note holder. Isn't it wonderful? I LOVE the colors and the attention to detail. That little organza bow she tied around the "W" just tied it all together. No pun intended!!! LOL

It's such a fun post it holder. I'm going to have to make some of these for craft fairs using an "F" and a "friend" word stamp on them. I think they'd be a great seller!! It would also make a GREAT Customer Appreciation Gift or Hostess Gifts.

Stop by Emily's blog and wish her well, she had a little minor surgery on her foot. Looks gross! Poor thing.

I received this card from Melissa for helping her out a bit with a problem on her blog. It's such a BEAUTIFUL card. And look at all the pieces she used to create it! She used one of the new Long Notes to make this card. I just LOVE it.

RAK Gift

But wait. The RAK didn't just stop at a card. I also got a fabulous gift. I didn't want to open it because I just loved the packaging. Ever do that??? I have some chocolates (don't tell the chocolate police) that are still in the decorated wrappers because they are just too pretty to take apart!''

This package contained a purple slide mount, some wonderful purple snap on metal fasteners (I've never seen anything like it and I can't wait to play with them!), a package of 3 "Dress it Up" beaded flowers, a spool of stitched ribbon, two clear acrylic stamping blocks and a package of "Girlfriends" clear acrylic stamps. I'm going to have some fun playing with all that! It was such a sweet gift. And of course it brought tears to my eyes when I opened the envelope!

RAK Card

Yesterday I received a fabulous card in the mail. This card is from Suzanne way down in Florida! The set she used is "Doodle This" and "Circle of Friendship". I love how she used watercolor paper and distressed the edges. The "thank you" is raised up with Dimensionals and the cute ribbon woven through. Such a cute card and such a nice thing to do.

Fan Mail!!!

Look what I got in the mail today!!! Lucky me!!!!

To be honest here I have never made a long card! This card measures 8" x 9 1/4" and it fits in a legal size envelope!! Something new (to me) that I'm going to have to try! There's tiny Prima flowers, brads and small gems on this adorable card!

I got this fabulous card from Lauri over at I Lie, Cheat and CASE Don't you just LOVE the name of her blog. Honest to the bone! Now me on the other hand . . . a pure angel!!! LOL Okay, there's the "Lie" part!!!

This is a beautiful card a new friend and fellow blogger Michelle sent me! Isn't it pretty! She even included a separate little piece of paper inside so I could reuse the card! How sweet was that?

I even loved the little note inside. I can't wait to use it on a card for my manager. Though I'm sure she will see it here on my blog but that's ok! It's a good test to see if she's one of those who just looks at the pictures or actually reads the postings! If I get an email from her on that I will know for sure she reads my blog!!!

Anyway, the fabulous poem goes:

I didn't sign this card
Before I sent it off to you
Instead it holds my warmest thoughts,
Invisible but true.
And if you find a time you need to
Brighten someone's day
Then take this card and sign it
And send it on it's way.

Now Michelle didn't know who wrote the poem and I had never seen it before, so if anyone knows who the author is please let me know so I can give credit to the person.
