Christmas Greenery, Traditions of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with a retired snowflake background. I just think this background is SO pretty and I will hang onto this embossing folder until it no longer embosses! I used strong tape to set it in place. Normally I'd glue it down but I was too lazy to go across the room and open a cupboard door and get a bottle of glue! (now that's lazy!! LOL).  The strong tape holds it well.

My Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package.  I cut the pieces at 2-5/8" x 1-1/2" and I taped them (with strong tape) to gold foil layers that measure 2-7/8" x 1-3/4".  I taped them in place on the front of the card about 5/8" from the fold, right edge and the top and bottom.

The top gold foil piece was cut using the third smallest die from the "Textured Notes" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.  I just eyed it but it's about 1-1/8" from the bottom (same for the top) and 1-1/4" from the sides.

The floral piece is from the "Traditions of Christmas" and was cut using the matching die in the "Christmas Greenery" bundle.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I eyed it but allowed equal amounts to hang over the top and bottom of the gold piece. I mostly just tried to get the bow straight and ran with it.

And that was it, the card was done. I was going to add some wording but I thought I would just leave it as it was. The DSP just lets the top layers pop.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Joyful Days Memories & More, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and pretty Christmas card to share with you. I found it in Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I did change it a little due to the supplies I have and don't have. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/4' piece of Real Red card stock and textured it using the "Jolly Holly" embossing folder.  I glued it to the front of the card.

Next I took the tree image from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock for the layer. I taped the pieces together and added Dimensionals to the back. I set it in place on the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I added a big stick glue dot to the center of the tree and then added the gold cord to it.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out with the matching die in the bundle.  I set them in place using Dimensionals.

Three crystal rhinestones were added to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a super quick and easy card to make. I really love the bright redness of this card. I have a few more of those trees left and I think I'm going to make 3 more cards just like this!  I am trying to use up the pieces in that package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Autumn Toile, Gathering Moments, Thanksgiving/Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Thanksgiving/ thank you card to share with you. I was trying to CASE the mini catalog (page 39).  I did what I could with what I had.  Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

My Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. The piece on the right was cut at 1-5/8" x 4-1/4".  I cut this one a little wider so the next piece can overlap it.  The next piece was cut at 4" x 4-1/4" and taped down.

The circles were cut using the same DSP and were cut using the second largest circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set.  The right circle was added first and it's about 1/4" from the top and 3/16" from the right side. It could be moved over to be 1/4" too but I just eyed it, I had tape behind it and it landed on my piece so I had to leave it.  But it looks just fine where it is.

The green circle was added and it's about 1/4" from the left side and 1/4" from the bottom.

The words are from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I cut them out using the 4th largest circle in the set. I cut them out so they were as high up on the circle as I could get it. I taped it to the front of the card. It's about 1-1/4" from the right side and 1/2" from the bottom edge.

The leaves are from the "Gathering Moments" bundle. I inked them up using Crushed Curry ink and then tapped on some Cajun Craze ink. I did that for both leaves. I cut them out using the matching die in the bundle.  I taped them together a bit offset. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some retired embellishments that I thought would look good on the card so I used them. Yup, I still have lots of retired embellishments in my stash and I do need to use them up.

This was a fun and easy card to make. How can you go wrong with cutting circles from printed papers?  You get the best of both here. You get DSP and stamping designs all on one card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Thanksgiving/thank you card,

Traditions of Christmas, Peace on Earth, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with a retired snowflake embossing folder. I taped it to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper strip is from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. It measures 5-1/4" x 1-1/2".  I taped it to the upper part of the card about 1/2" from the fold.

The layered framed pieces are from the "Peace on Earth" bundle. One was cut using gold foil card stock and the other from Basic White card stock. I taped the layers together and added Dimensionals on the back.

I fussy cut the flowers from the "Traditions of Christmas" package. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set on top of the layers. Then that was set in place on top of the card about 5/8" from the left side and 1/4" from the top and bottom.

The words are from a Paper Pumpkin kit, I'm not sure which one.  They were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. They were cut out using the largest ribbon die in the "Stylish Shapes" package. The right end was snipped and Dimensionals were added to the back. It was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the bottom.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I love the red on white look.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I created lines on the front using my scoring tool on my paper cutter. I turned the piece over and scored on the backside because I wanted to feel the bumps on the right side.

I stamped the words next. They are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was then set in place on the front of the card.

The poinsettias were fussy cut from a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package.  I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Five crystal rhinestones were added to the front and the card was done.

This was such a quick card to make once the fussy cutting was done.  When I watch tv I will often sit and fussy cut pieces in my packs of DSP.  I ran across a little zip bags of fish from some long retired DSP.  But I will eventually use them.  But I do a lot of fussy cutting a day or two a week.  It makes putting a card together pretty quick.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Joyful Days Memories & More, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another super quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. I found it (and lost it) on Pinterest. I had accidentally closed the window and I couldn't find the card again. UGH.  Anyway, please read on to see how this card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock was cut for the layer.  On top of that is one of the card designs from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack.  This is such a fun pack and you can make a lot of cards using these images.  I love it that I can whip up a card in no time with these images.  Anyway, I taped this piece to the Old Olive piece.

I used some red ribbon that I had in my stash and cut a 7" piece. I taped the ends to the back of the layered piece. Once that was taped on I then taped the piece to the front of the card base.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out using the second largest circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I slipped the ribbon, right from the spool, under the taped ribbon and I tied a knot. Then I snipped the ends. I like these kinds of knots because you can slide them to where you want.

I took three small rhinestones and added them to the front of the card and the card was done.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the inside.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I cut the strips at 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" and I taped them to the front of the card. I tape the outside pieces first and then fit the center one in.

The circles were cut next and they are from the "Spotlight on Nature" dies. I cut one of Basic White card stock and a Cherry Cobbler one. I taped the layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the upper part of the card about 3/4" from the top and sides. I just eyed it when I set it in place but the measurements read 3/4".

I fussy cut the flowers from the "Traditions of Christmas" package of DSP. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the circles.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut out using the die from the bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the bottom of the card at the lowest point of the piece and 3/16" from the top tip on the left and lower tip on the right.

I had some leftover polished dots that I used for the embellishments. I put clear nail polish over them and sprinkled on some gold glitter. If you are going to do this, I highly recommend you do it first so it has time to set up before you need to use them.

This was a fun card to make. I didn't mind cutting the flowers (I had to fussy cut them because I don't own the matching dies). If you have to cut yours, I do recommend you start at the left side of the bow and work your way around. Cutting the bow and stems at the very end is a bit difficult to hang onto.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Christmas card to share with you using the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I found this card on Pinterest and you can see it by clicking here. It was just so pretty that I had to make one. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. Two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock were cut, one was taped to the inside and the other is for the front.

On the front Basic White piece I taped a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of the DSP from the "Traditions of Christmas" package.

A 6" piece of ribbon was taped to the back. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it. My ribbon is some retired Cherry Cobbler. I need to use up what I have. Once the ribbon was attached the piece was taped to the front of the card.

Next came the arches. I cut one using some gold foil paper and the other using Basic White card stock.

The flowers are from the same package of DSP and were fussy cut. I did not buy the matching stamps and dies bundle, so I had to fussy cut them. It didn't take very long but I'd recommend starting with the bow and work your way around. Once they were cut I laid it on top of the Basic White arch piece to see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink.

Once the words were stamped I taped the arches together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was cent in place on the front of the card about 3/4" from the bottom and 11/16" from each side.

I added the flowers using Dimensionals. The green embellishments were made using some retied "Polish Dots" that I had. I put clean nail polish over them and then sprinkled on some ultra fine green glitter. If you go this route I recommend you do it first so it has time to dry before you need them. The embellishments were set in place and the card was done.

This is such a pretty card and I'm glad I was able to make one. I love how it looks with the gold foil on that beautiful red DSP.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest and you can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5"1/4" piece of Basic White was taped to the inside.

On the front a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was cut for the largest later. On top of that is Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. This package of paper has SO many beautiful sheets in it. I've had fun with everyone of them so far! The top piece was cut at 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" and the bottom piece was cut at 3-3/4" x 2-1/4".  I taped the bottom piece down first and then the top on next. If there was an overlap it won't show.

The gold band was cut at 3-3/4" x 5/8" and was taped across where the two pieces of DSP meet.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink. I cut them out with the matching die. I set them on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Three gold glittered embellishments were added and the card was done. My embellishments were left over "Polished Dots" that I put clear nail polish on and sprinkled them with ultra fine gold glitter. I recommend doing this before you start the card so the polish has time to dry. By the time I was ready to add them they were all set and ready to use.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. It's got a nice festive look to it too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Joyful Days Memories & More, Jolly Holly Embossing Folder, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card that was made using the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I found this card on Pinterest and you can see the original by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was taped to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler was cut and then textured using the new "Jolly Holly" embossing folder. This is a folder that I'm going to keep forever! I just love how it looks and it's such a prefect holiday background image. Anyway, I taped this piece to the front of the card.

Next I took the "Merry Christmas" card from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card back and taped it to a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The organza bow is some retired ribbon that I had. It's very thin so I doubled it so it would have a bit more color. I glued it to the upper left corner of the word piece and the card was done.

This card went together so quickly that I actually made two. I made one using Cherry Cobbler card stock and the other I used Real Red. I preferred the Cherry Cobbler color better. The Real Red didn't quite go as well with the color of the words.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Joyful Days Memories & More, Snowflake Kisses, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside.

The pretty Christmas plaid paper is from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I trimmed one end so the piece measured 5-1/4" x 4".  I taped that to the front of the card.

The trees are from that same packet. I didn't need to trim it at all. I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. I just centered it as much as I could by eyeing it. With the plaid being so wiggly one would never know if it was off by a hair!

The words are from the "Snowflake Kisses" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die in that bundle. At the same time I also cut out the snowflakes. There's a lot of fun snowflakes in that bundle and I can't wait to play with it more.

The words were set in place using Dimensionals and the snowflakes were set in place using glue.  I colored the snowflakes using my Wink of Stella pen to give them a bit of sparkle.

A red bow was tied and glued to the upper left corner of the tree piece and the card was done.

This was such a fun and quick card to make. I love playing with snowflakes (real ones too, when there's enough to make a snowman).

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Jpyful Days Memories & More, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you.  I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the bottom, the fold is on the top. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was taped to the inside.

The pretty pine images are from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I trimmed it to measure 4" x 5-1/4" and taped to the front of the card.

Also in the pack is the top layered piece. I did not trim it at all. It measures 3" x 4" and I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was centered on the front of the card.

The "Merry & Bright" was done on my computer because I didn't have any holiday words that would fit in that circle. I printed them out in Real Red using the RGB color code. I punched them out using the 1-1/2" circle punch and I used a retired 1-5/8" die for the Mossy Meadow layer behind it. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added behind the word circle and the card was done.

This card pack has a lot off fun images to play with. I can't wait to make more cards using them.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Labeled Me Grateful, Sunflower Embossing Folder, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-8" piece of Crushed Curry card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

Next I took a piece of Basic White card stock about 2-3/8" x 3-1/2" and textured it using the "Sunflower" 3D embossing folder. Find the prettiest spot on the folder you can and then run it through your Big Shot. Once it was embossed I taped it in place on top of the Crushed Curry layer. I marked my layer using a pencil and a few dots. I marked it at 1/2" from the top of the card and 3/8" from the fold. It doesn't have to be perfect, the top layer is going to cover it.

The top layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock. I cut the opening using the third smallest die in the "Textured Notes" set.

The words were stamped next and they are from the "Label Me Grateful" bundle. I stamped them using Cajun Craze ink.

Dimensionals were added all over the back of the piece and it was set in place with the opening over the embossed piece.

For a final touch I added some embellishments. Mine are retired "Candy Dots". I still have quite a few of them to use up, but they are getting used.  Add whatever embellishment you wish.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love this layout because you can use some larger words on it and still keep it clean and simple looking.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,

Splendid Autumn, Label Me Grateful, The Right Words, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fall masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside.

I cut a 1" x 5-1/4" strip of Cajun Craze was textured using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. I taped that strip to the left side of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Splendid Autumn" 6" x 6" stack. I cut 2" off the left side of the sheet and then cut the right side so the piece measured 2-7/8" x 5-1/4".  I taped that to the front of the card.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Cajun Craze card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. The little leaf is from the "Label Me Grateful" bundle and I cut it out at the same time as the word piece.

I tied a piece of Baker's Twine around the left side of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 2" from the bottom and 1" from the fold. I taped the little leaf in place and the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make and it's perfect as a masculine card!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Traditional Christmas, Greetings For You, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick to make Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. This is a layout I've used a couple of times already. I like this layout and it's great for smaller images.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. On top of that is a 4-12" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock.

The next piece of DSP is from the same package and was cut at 4-1/4" x 3".  Using the second rectangle die in the "Nested Essentials" set I cut out the opening on the left side. Then I taped it to the front of the card so the opening exposed the Basic White layer behind it.

Using the second and third rectangle dies in the same set, I cut out two frames using Real Red card stock. I glued the frames together and set them under my mat to keep them flat.

The candy cane is from the "Christmas Tags" 6" x 6" stack that also has die cut pieces in it. This is one of them. I popped it out and added Dimensionals to the back.  I didn't remove the backing yet, I needed to see what that area needed. I decided I'd take my blending brush and scrub on some Granny Apple Green ink to brighten it up a bit. Once I was done with that I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the piece in place at an angle.

Next I took the Real Red double frame and glued it to the front, fitting it in the opening.

The words are from the "Greetings for You", Mix and Match Ephemera pack. I was gifted a sheet of words and have been playing with them but couldn't find where they came from. Today I ran across a card that used them and it had a link and that link lead me to the package.  YAY! It's a fun package and I am going to order one soon.  These are stickers. I didn't remove the backing and I just added a couple of Dimensionals.  Normally I would have removed the backing and used corn starch to stop it from sticking but the backing on the word piece was on there pretty good so I just left it.

Now for the messy part. I didn't purchase the glittered embellishments because my order was pretty big as it was. So I got out my gold glitter and clear nail polish and I covered the embellishments I had with both. I let it set for a bit to dry. If you are going to give this a try, do it first so you don't have to wait around for it to set up.  I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a quick, fun and easy card to make.  I hope it inspires you.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditional Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with the "Falling Snow" (retired) embossing folder. I miss not having a snowflake folder for winter and Christmas cards. What I currently have for backgrounds wouldn't look good on this card. So if you have something current, please use it. I went with the falling snow for mine. Using strong tape I attached it to the front of my card.

Next I took a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditional Christmas" 12" x 12" package. It measures 3" x 3".  I cut a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Real Red card stock for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card about 5/8"from the top edge and about 9/16" from each side.

The "Merry and Bright" sticker was gifted to me so I am not aware of where it came from. I had gotten a dozen or so of various holiday sayings.  I tried to look for them in the current mini catalog but I didn't see them in there. If you know where they are located in any flyers or catalogs, please let me know so I can not only post it here but order some more. They are SO fun to work with. I removed the sticker backing on mine and added a Dimensional to the bottom part of the piece. I lined up the bottom of the word "Merry" to the Real Red edge and I set it in place centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The little bow was cut from another sheet in the "Traditions of Christmas" package. I had fussy cut it. It was pretty easy to cut. I recommend cutting the tips first and then work up from there. I added tape to the upper part of the bow and I cut pieces of a Dimensional and added that to the bottom of the bow. It needed some stability. And the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make, plus it used a piece of scrap!

Traditions of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. It uses the "Traditions of Christmas" Designer Series Paper. You can see the original card by clicking here.  I clicked through but was not able to find this card on their blog. I don't spend a lot of time searching, it's hard to find when the link is general and not direct. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party card stock. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the inside. And another piece was cut at the same size and textured using the "Peaceful Greens" embossing folder. I taped that to the front using some very strong tape. I find that the more a piece is textured the easier it is for it to come off. So I usually use glue but today I just used some very strong tape.

The floral piece is from a piece of DSP from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I fussy cut it because I do not have the matching dies. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. Once it was cut I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I do not know where the words are from, they were gifted to me. I was hoping to find the answer to that when I saw the card on Pinterest and an open link. But alas, the link didn't take me to where I needed to go. I'm sure I'll find out where they came from eventually.

Three amber rhinestones were added to the front and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I really don't mind fussy cutting and I can see myself making another card like this in the future.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stmapin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. It uses one of my most favorite layouts. Favored mostly because it's easy and effective! Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Next I cut a 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. On top of that I taped a 3" x 3" piece of DSP. This piece of DSP is actually the backside of the larger later that I had just taped down.

I took 4-1/2" piece of gold ribbon that I had in my stash and taped the ends to the back of the large panel. I lined up the edge of the ribbon to the edge of the DSP.  I slid the ribbon, still on the spool, under the taped piece and tied a knot. I snipped the ends and slit it where I wanted it to go. I love doing knots like that because you can move them.

I do not know where the words are from, they were gifted to me but I do know that they are current. I have not researched where they came from but I should do that because they are very fun to work with.  They are actually stickers. I stuck mine to a scrap piece of Real Red card stock and fussy cut around them. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Basic White panel and it was set in place on the front of the card base and the card was done!

I told you it was a quick and easy card to make. And I think it's a great use for busy card stock too! I've used this layout for many occasions.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Happy Halloween!

Hello and welcome to my blog. It's a very busy day with getting ready for the Halloween festivities. Today I am going to share some cards I made using images created with AI since I don't have time to make and share a Stampin' Up! Halloween card.

Hope you enjoy them. I will be making some other AI cards and putting them in my web store. I will be adding some of these in my web store too but I don't have many left and I won't be making anymore until next year. I've moved on to Christmas cards. The link to my web store is on the right sidebar if you're interested or curious. The Halloween cards will be marked down because they won't arrive until after Halloween. I will be posting them sometime during the first week in November.

Have a fun and safe Halloween,
Wanda

Autumn Toile, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. I just don't seem to have enough of those in my stash. I love making them because it's such a change from flowers! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock for the layer.  On top of that is some fun Designer Series Papers (DSP) from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. I cut the piece on the left at 1-1/2" x 5" and the piece on the right was cut at 2-1/4" x 5".  I taped them to the Early Espresso piece.

A piece of linen thread was wrapped around the layers three times and then tied in a knot. No bow, it's a masculine card!

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Early Espresso ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" dies.  I also cut an Early Espresso piece too. I cut the Early Espresso piece in half and taped each one to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card, over the threads.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Early Espresso layered piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I used scrap for the piece on the left so it was nice to get that out of my package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on the internet. You can see the original card by clicking here. I did a little searching but didn't find any instructions so I had to wing it. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Mine opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock was cut and textured using the "Peaceful Greens" embossing folder.

A 4" x 3" piece of gold foiled card stock was cut for the layer for the Designer Series Paper (DPS). The DSP is from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. It was cut at 3-3/4" x 2-3/4". I taped the two pieces together.

I took a piece of red ribbon about 6" long. I added some tape to the ends and wrapped it around the layers. The bottom edge of the ribbon is about 3/8" from the bottom edge. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the matching die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the DSP.  And the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Autumn Toile, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 5-3/8" x 4-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the bottom of the card, leaving a 1/8" border.

For the upper part of the card I taped a 5-3/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Cajun Craze card stock.

The panels were done next. The DSP is from the same "Autumn Toile" package and they were cut at 2-1/2" x 1".  I cut the piece at 2-1/2" x 4" and cut 1" strips because I wanted to keep the scene. The strips were layered on top of a 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" pieces of Early Espresso.

After taping the strips together, I taped them to the front of the card.  I taped the two end pieces first and then the center two.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Cajun Craze ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" dies and at the same time I cut the Early Espresso layer using the same dies.  I cut the Early Espresso piece in half and taped each piece to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were aded to the back and it was set in place using Dimenisonals. And the card was done. I didn't want to add any ribbons or embellishments because it's a masculine card and I wanted to keep it plain. Plus I wanted the scene to show.

This was fun to make because it had layers and I LOVE making cards with layers. It just seems to keep the eye moving across the card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda

Traditions of Christmas, Peaceful Greens, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Peaceful Greens" embossing folder.  The center of that folder is indented in the shape shown by the gold foiled paper. I don't have the die yet so I traced the shape and fussy cut it. I can't wait to get the die, I'm not good at fussy cutting something that doesn't leave any wiggle room for errors. I taped that piece in place.

Next I cut a strip of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. It measures 1-1/8" x 4". Behind it is a 1-1/4" x 4-1/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo and behind that is a 1-3/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock. I taped those three pieces together and set it aside.

Then I cut the second largest square from the "Stylish Shapes" set using Basic White card stock. I set it aside.

The flowers in the center are from the same "Traditions of Christmas" DSP. I fussy cut them out. I even fussy cut 3 of the berries (silly me, I'm going to check to see if the tiny circle handheld punch I have will cut them out for me).

To get the pieces on the front evenly, I used some removable double-sided tape on the left side of the circle and I affixed it to the DSP layered strip. I centered it by counting the dots on the square. Once it was centered I put a tiny pencil dot where the tip of the square is on the left. Then I glued the strip in place. I removed the square.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the square and it was set in place.

Dimensionals were also added to the back of the flowers and they were set in place on the square. I used tiny dots of glue to set those little berries in place on the lower part of the square and the card was done.

Lots of fussy cutting here but I think it was worth it. This was a fun card to make and the embossed piece will be more fun once I get the dies that go with it.

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I wanted to make this card because it uses busy Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I struggle with busy paper and this card makes great use of it. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock was cut. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock. Before I taped the two pieces together I cut the pieces of DSP and the layer behind it.

The DSP piece measured 3" x 3-1/4", then it was cut into three 1" strips. They strips were taped to a 3-3/8" x 3-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock.  I laid the piece on top of the Basic White piece to see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink. Once the words were stamped I set the floral piece in place using Dimensionals.

Three red glittered embellishments were added to near the words. I had some retired enamel dots, I covered them with clear nail polish and sprinkled red glitter on top. I recommend doing this first so the polish is set up before you are ready to use them. Once the dots were put in place, the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I love it when I can find cards that use busy DSP! I think it looks lovely!

Traditions of Christmas, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I had found on Pinterest. I thought it was SO pretty that I had to give it a try. I found this card on Pinterest but I had closed the window and could no longer find it.  I did remember the ladies site, it's KarinsKrafts. But when I went there, there was no info on the card. So I guessed at the measurements. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Two pieces of Basic White card stock was cut at 4" x 5-1/4". One was taped to the outside and the other taped to the front.

A strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. It measures 5-1/4" x 1-1/2".  I taped that to the front about 1/4" from the edge of the Basic White layer.

A 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock was cut for the larger layer. On top of that is a piece of gold foil card stock that was cut at 3" x 4-1/4". And the top layer was cut at 2-7/8" x 4-1/8".

The flowers are from the "Traditions of Christmas" package and were fussy cut because I didn't purchase the dies. I laid it on the top Basic White layer to see where the words would go. The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. I stamped them using Cherry Cobbler ink.

Once the words were stamped I taped the piece to the gold layer and then that was taped to the Cherry Cobbler layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 3/8" from the right side and about 1/2" from the top edge.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flowers and set in place on the top of the card.

I didn't have the gold embellishments so once again I took some retired dots, my clean nail polish and my gold glitter and I colored them myself.  I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done. This time I glittered the embellishments first so when I was ready for them, they were dry and ready to use.

This was a very fun card to make. I like how it turned out and I think I'm going to make another one.

Traditions of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Christmas card to share with you using the "Traditions of Christmas" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I found it on Pinterest and just had to make one. And I mean "had to" because I sat at the craft fair and cut out all of those images by hand and I'm using every one of them!! LOL Anyway, you can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. I just LOVE the richness of that color. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  A 4" x 5-1/4"piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the inside. And a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was textured using the "Peaceful Greenery" embossing folder. I glued it in place.

The layers for the folder are cut from Cherry Cobbler and Basic White. They were taped together and then taped to the center of the card.

The flowers are from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package of DSP and were fussy cut. There is a die to cut them out in a matter of seconds but I don't have it.  The DSP was gifted to me as wall as the words, which I do not know where they came from.  They are gold embossed, pre-cut and are a sticker. I removed the sticker covering on the back and brushed on some corn starch to get rid of the sticky. I added a small Dimensional on each end and a little tape in the middle (which I didn't need to do if I had been paying attention to where the sticky part was needed - but it is what it is). I set the words across the flowers and pressed down to secure them.

I didn't have the gold glittered embellishments so I took some retired "White Perfect Accents" and ran some clear nail polish over them and then sprinkled them with some ultra fine gold glitter that I had in a pack of 24 by Martha Stewart. I've had this glitter for years and hardly used any from the 24 containers.  Once I felt the polish was dry (about 5 minutes) I set the embellishments on the front of the card. And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and with the pieces pre-cut it was pretty quick too. I love it that I was able to think outside the box and color my own embellishments. I may be doing that for a few more cards too, I have lots of those dots left in the package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made. Once again I used one of the layouts that I have in my 3D stash.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Next I cut three pieces of DSP that measure 2" x 1-1/2" each and they were taped to a piece of Basic White card stock that measures 2-1/4" x 5".  This was taped to the left side of the card.

The flowers were fussy cut because I do not have the die that goes with the DSP. It wasn't too bad to cut, I brought the sheet along with me to a craft fair and when there was down time I fussy cut some pieces out. I set the piece in place using Dimensionals where they wouldn't be seen, so some of the thinner pieces do not have any backing behind them.

I do not know where the words came from. They were gifted to me along with the DSP but they are probably in the current 2025 holiday mini catalog.

I thought this was a fun card to make and I did learn something after I put it together. It's important to watch which directions the dots go. I was using scraps from the card I made yesterday.  Oh well, maybe no one will notice, right?  LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I used a layout from previous cards I've made. I like to take my favorite layouts and cut out all of the pieces and tape them together on a piece of copier paper like it's a card. I write down all of the measurements and I even write down the date I posted the card so I can look back on it for reference. I have them bound up in a stack in my workroom. I prefer a 3D version of a card layout than just a sketch. Anyway, please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

Next I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White for the layer.

The Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I cut the top strips at 2-1/2" x 1". And the bottom piece measures 2" x 3-1/4".  I taped this piece on first. Then I taped the two side pieces on and then the middle piece. What's fun about this layout is those strips butt up against the bottom layer so it's easy to get the sides lined up. The middle piece is always a bit tricky to get equal on each side but I do my best, after all, it's a handmade card!

Once the pieces were taped in place Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die in the bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in pace over the seam where the two colors of DSP meet.

The little flower and leaves at the bottom were cut from another piece of DSP in the package. I set the flower in place using a Dimensional and glued the leaves down.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I was pleased with how it turned out.

Joyful Days Memories & More, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Each year I say I'm going to start my Christmas cards in late summer but it never happens. I will be rushing next month, after Thanksgiving, to get my cards made, the family letter written and then sent out just before Christmas. Hopefully next weekend I can find some time to get my cards started. I think it's the designing of it that holds me back the most. Once I figure that out, it's just a matter of cutting and taping (which can be done in front of the tv while watching a movie). Anyway, please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I had trimmed that piece to fit my card. It originally measures 6" x 4".  I taped that to the front of the card.

The words are from another piece in the same pack. There's a stack of images that measure 3" x 4".  I trimmed up the "Christmas Cheer" to measure 2-5/8" x 1-3/16" and I cut a 2-7/8" x 1-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some "White Loose Snowflakes" leftover from a couple of catalogs ago so I glued a few on the front of the card and the card was done. Pearls or clear rhinestones would be pretty on it too.

This was a very quick, easy and fun card to make. It's not real colorful but that's okay. I have a guy I will be sending this to and it's perfect for him. Not a lot of frill and just enough cheer!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Autumn Toile, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another masculine card to share with you using the "Autumn Toile" Designer Series Paper (DSP). Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock was cut and taped to the inside of the card.

I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla card stock for the largest layer. On top of that is a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock.

The DSP was cut into three strips. They all measure 4" long and each one is cut at a different with, 1", 7/8" and 1/2".  Try to keep the picture (if there is one on your paper) in order.  I taped the strips to the Early Espresso layer and that was then taped to the Very Vanilla layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I cut them out using the Labeled with Love die (a punch is available instead). I also cut out a piece from a scrap piece of DSP which I later regretted. That piece of DSP has a grid on it that is not exactly even so it was a bit difficult to line things up.  I cut the piece of DSP in half and taped each half to the Very Vanilla word piece. Dimensionals were add to the back of that and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. I chose the upper part because I liked the little deer on the bottom to show. And that was it!

I thought this was a quick and easy card to make. All you need is a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of DSP to make this card. It's practically scrap!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Autumn Toile, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you today. I found it on Pinterest and just had to make it because the Designer Series Paper (DSP) it used was a busy background and one in my package of "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. I was thinking I'd probably be trying to make cards using the design on the back. But when this card popped up I saw a use for that design. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla and taped it to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze was cut for the largest layer. On top of that are two strips of the DSP. They measure 5" x 1-3/4" each. I taped them on top of the Cajun Craze piece, allowing 1/4" spacing around the outer edges.

The DSP focal piece measures 3" x 3-3/4".  A 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla was cut for the next layer and the last layer is Early Espresso and was cut at 3" x 3-3/4".  I taped the layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. It's about 5/8" from each side and 7/8" from top to bottom.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a 5/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I snipped each end at an angle.

I cut a 1/4" strip of Early Espresso card stock about 4" long. It was from a scrap left over from cutting the focal layer. I taped it to the back of the word piece and then snipped the ends to match the word ends. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some retired "Candy Dots" and added them to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love this layout for using DPS as a focal piece. I'm going to have to make a template from copier paper and add it to my stack. I keep layouts for future use. I prefer physical ones over printed ones. Then I know what I'm looking at. Plus I write down the date the card was posted so I can refer to that if I need to too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Autumn Toile, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. I cut it in half at 2". I taped the tree half on the left side of the card front and the brown side on the right side.

I also cut another piece of DSP from the same sheet that measures 3" x 2-3/8". The Basic White layer measures 3-1/4" x 2-5/8" and the DSP was taped to it. The Early Espresso layer measures 3-1/2" x 2-7/8" and the other two taped layers were taped to this one and then this was taped to the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eying it. It's about 11/16" from each side and 7/8" from the top and 1-1/8" from the bottom.  Eying isn't and exact science but it is close enough. I figure if I think it looks good by eying it, then it looks good.

Then the words were stamped. They are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I don't even try to get them straight on the paper. I trim them up after and hope for the best. I usually take a ruler or a piece of scrap card stock (depending on the length of the piece I'm working onO) and I make a pencil mark on each end. I put it in the paper trimmer and cut it so it's now straight. My piece measures 3/8" x 2-5/8".  I taped it to a piece of Early Espresso card stock measuring 5/8" x 2-5/8". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the focal layer. I lined up the edges of the word piece with the Basic White layer and 1-5/16" from the bottom edge of the card.

The deer is from the retired "Grassy Grove" bundle and it was cut using the smallest deer die on Early Espresso card stock. I glued it in place on the front of the card. I didn't buy the bundle that this DSP went with so I didn't have the current deer but you can swap them out if you have the bundle.

This was a very fun card to make and I needed to make some masculine cards and this foot the bill.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Charming Day, Female Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. When I entered the blog address to this card, I got a warning that the site wasn't safe so I closed the page.  I just made the card by looking at the pic on Pinterest. I changed it a little but for the most part it looks the same. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.

The flowers are from the "Charming Day" bundle. I stamped and die cut two of them. I also die cut two of the stems of leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock.

I colored the flowers using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pens. And the stamped leaves were colored using both light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends pens.

I cut a 2-1/2" Crumb Cake circle. I stamped the "Hey" from the same "Charming Day" bundle using Mossy Meadow ink.

The Happy Birthday is also from the same set and was stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.

To put the pieces together I added some tape to the back of one of the flower pieces. I cut off the larger flower on the second piece. I took that piece and stuck it to the piece that was whole. The leaves that were cut from the large flower piece were stuck to the back of the upper part of the whole piece. And the one large leaf was cut from that first large flower. It was stuck to the bottom right side of the large whole piece.

Dimensionals were then added to the back of all of the pieces that were stuck together. I took the circle with the "Hey" stamped on it and the Dimensionals from the large piece held it in place. I didn't press down on the Dimensionals because I needed to slip the greenery in. The top piece of greenery was cut off and the remaining piece was the one that is stuck to the left side. And the second cut piece of greenery was cut and it was slipped under the leaves on the bottom. I had to add a little glue to the ends to get them to stay in place.

Tape was added to the back of the circle and then the whole piece was set in place. I pressed down so the Dimensionals would make it all stick to the front of the card.

I tied a linen bow and set it on the front of the card using a glue dot.

Dimensionals were added to the word piece and it was set in place over the bow. I don't believe I mentioned the word piece after stamping it. I cut it to 5/8" wide and 3" long. I snipped the ends at an angle. I usually snip one end and then put the cut piece on the other side so they are the same.

I added a few pearls to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I love coloring with the Blends pens. They make you look like you are REALLY good at coloring.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
