Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Great news, from the pieces in the package of "Spooky Sweet" Designer Series Paper (DSP), it looks like there's only enough paper to make a couple more cards after today. YAY!  Hope you didn't get sick of seeing days and days worth of Halloween cards. It's a paper that I just had to use up because I have too much of it sitting around here from past Halloweens. So my quest is almost complete. I'll be moving onto something for fall, a few birthday and of course Christmas. Please read on to see how today's card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the DSP and taped it to the front. The bats and candies paper was a scrap piece. I trimmed it to 3" x 5". I taped it to the left side of the card, giving equal spacing on the three sides.

The green framed piece is a piece that was cut from another sheet in the package. It measures 2" x 3-1/2".  I cut a layer for it using what was left over from the piece that was taped to the left side. This is the backside of that piece. It measures 2-1/4" x 3-3/4". I taped the two pieces together and taped it to the front of the card.

Next I stamped the cute character from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and colored him using both light and dark Blends in the following colors, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. I colored the pants using by Blender pen and the Petunia Pop ink pad. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the green framed piece.

The bat and candy corn are cut-outs from another sheet in the package. I set them in place using Dimensionals. I colored the bat and candy corns and the lolly pop using my Wink of Stella pen. And the card was done.

I was thinking about adding some words to the card but I thought I'd leave it the way it was so the cute candy and bats paper would show more. I think that paper is SO adorable.

This was a fun card to make and I was glad to use more pieces from the package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Extraordinary Flora, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. I had found it on the internet and I had left the website where it came from open but someone (bless his heart) backed up my computer so we could see if it was able to support windows 11.  It is not so I will be getting a new computer. I am never excited about that because of all the things I need to reinstall (and the passwords). Such a pain. But on the brighter side I will have a computer that should work for another 12-15 years!  Maybe by then I'll be too old to use it! LOL  Maybe not so LOL! Anyway, please read on to see how today's card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Shy Shamrock for the layer. Using the 3-1/2" die from the "Spotlight on Nature" set I cut it from the center of this piece.

Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued that to the Shy Shamrock piece and then that was taped to the front of the card. I set it under my stamping mat to keep flat while I worked on the circles.

I cut a Basic White circle using the same die set. This one measures about 2-3/4".  I taped it to the Shy Shamrock circle. I glued it to the front of the card about 1/2" from the edge and fold and about 1" from the top edge of the card. Again I placed it under my stamping mat while I worked on the words and flowers.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Shy Shamrock ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Using my blending pen I picked up some Shy Shamrock ink on it and colored the edges. I didn't purchase the markers or the Blends because they don't stay around long. I just purchase the ink pads and inkers. Sometimes I don't even buy the ink pads, I'll just buy the little ink spots and inkers. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

Next I die cut the flowers from the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape roll. I laid the purplish color section on a piece of Basic White card stock and then I cut them out using the matching die.

To assemble the flowers, I first added the word piece at about the 3 o'clock position on the circles. Then I added the large flower below the words using a Dimensional.

Glue was added to a scrap piece of paper and I dragged the pieces through it and set them in place. The original card didn't have a little flower on the word piece. I added one there because the post it tape I used stuck too firmly and tore my card stock a bit there and I just wanted to cover it up instead of make a new word piece. Once all of the flowers were glued in place the card was done.

This tape is such a fun thing to play with and there's SO many flowers and leaves on a roll. 1056 pieces to be exact!  That's a lot of fun in one roll!

This was a fun card to make and I know who's getting this one!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. In my quest to use up the Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package, I am getting close. From what I can figure I think there's about 4 more cards to make and then I'm just down to some cutouts left but I'm probably not going to do much with them. Perhaps put them in my parts envelope and use them another season! So onto today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP and taped it to the front. On top of that is a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of DSP and that was taped to the front of the card with equal spacing all around, as much as you eye thinks it looks good.

I cut three strips of DSP that measure 4" x 3/4" each. The center one was supposed to be 1" x 4" but I didn't have enough scraps left so I used what I had. I taped them on the front. I taped the ends ones first and then the center one.

The tree was a cutout and was fussy cut and glued in place. I glued it across the bottom and up the main part of the trunk plus up the three other branches off the trunk. I left the thinner branches to be free.

The character and candy corn were from the cutouts. I set them in place using Dimensionals.

The circle is was made from a piece of Basic White card stock and the second smallest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set. Using my Blending Brush I scrubbed on some Pumpkin Pie ink on the edges and then without reinking the brush I lightly scrubbed on the rest of the circle. I set that piece in place using tape.

The bat was a die cut from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and was cut using the die in that bundle. I set it in place using a small Dimensional.

I took my Wink of Stella pen and colored over the bat, the candy corn, the crown and the character's clothing. And the card was done.

This was a very fun and quick card to make. I'm excited to be almost done with that package of DSP. It will be a first for me. I don't ever recall using up a package of DSP in all the years I've been stamping.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you.  Yup, I'm almost out of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. YAY!  I've been making SO many Halloween cards trying to reach my goal of actually using up a package of DSP! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

The background on the front is from a sheet of DSP in the package. There's several little background scenes. This was cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and was taped to the front of the card.

The cat was stamped from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I used my Blends pens to color it in. I used all light Blends in Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Berry Burst and Pecan Pie (on the nose).

The elements on the front are all from the same package of DSP. I set the broom on first, then the cat and then the other character, that I have yet to figure out what it is. Any ideas? The candies were taped down on the bottom part of the card and the bat was cut using a die from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I set it in place using a small Dimensional.

I added Wink of Stella to the bat, the candies, the pumpkins in the background and the candy buckets.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. I love these pre-cut pieces!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Painterly Pears, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest. You can see it by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Secret Sea card stock. If you don't have Secret Sea you can always use Basic Black. My card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut for the large layer. It's from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package and was taped to the front of the card.

Next I cut the Secret Sea layer that measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4". On top of that is a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock. A 3/4" x 4" strip of DSP was added to the left side. It's actually the backside of the large piece of DSP. I taped this piece to front of the card, giving equal space all around (I just eyed it. I always figure that if it looks centered by my eyes, it's close enough).

The pears are from the same package of DSP and were fussy cut. I sat in front of the tv one night and cut up a whole sheet of DSP so they are ready when I want to make a card. I'm hoping to use up this package of DSP too, especially since I fussy cut all of those pieces!

The stem was glued to the largest pear. Then that piece was set on top of the card, along with the other two pieces. I just set them there for placement of the words. The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. Secret Sea can be used there too or Basic Black.

Once the word were stamped I added the pears using Dimensionals. The double pears were added using tape on the left and a Dimensional on the right.

The Petal Pink flowers were added using tape.

I had some green pearls so I added those. I don't always have the embellishments on cards I see so I just use what I have. Maybe someday I'll use up all of that stuff too! (wishful thinking)

This was a fun card to make and I know my friend will love it because she's mentioned before how much she likes that package of DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Painterly Pears, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it's made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 12" x 12" "Painterly Pears" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Using the "Spotlight on Nature" die set I cut the larger one from a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and the next size smaller was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock.

I stamped the "hello" from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink.

The pears and other pieces were fussy cut from another piece of DSP in the package. I glued the stem on the large pear. I took a piece of linen thread and tied a bow around the stem.

I taped the circles together and then added the large pear using Dimensionals. The small pears were added using a Dimensional were it touches the white circle and glue where it touches the large pear. Before pressing down on the double pears I added a little glue to the petal pink flowers and slipped it under the little pear. The brighter flower was glued in place and I slipped it under the leaf of the little pears.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Mossy Meadow circle and it was set in place on the front of the card.  And that was it.

This was a fun card to make and I just love the colors on it. That background piece was such a busy one and I was glad I was able to use it in such a pretty way on this card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an easy Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens in the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock for the large layer.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. My piece was a scrap and it was an odd size so I had trimmed it down to 3-1/3" x 4-3/4". I taped that to the Basic Black piece. I trimmed it so I could get both ghosts in the scene.

This card is filled with cut-outs. I popped out the hippo, the tree, the bat, the tree and the other trick or treater character. I just can't figure out what it is dressed up as something! LOL

The first thing I did was I fussy cut around the tree branches. It had too white of a border and would have taken away from more of the scene. I added some tape to the trunk and then little dots of glue to the branches. I set the piece in place lining the trunk on on the edge of the sidewalk.

The hippo, trick or treater character and bat were set in place using Dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella to the little bat, and all the orange on the card. And that was it, the card was done.

This was such a super quick and easy card to make. The fussy cutting took a little bit of time but it wasn't that bad. It was worth it and I was glad I was able to use it. I'm still trying to use up this package of DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Autumn Toile, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I took a break from Halloween cards to play with some new Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I bought. I saw a card on the internet that used this paper and I thought I'd give it a try. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. If I were to make this card again (and I just might) I would use Early Expresso instead. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla and taped it to the inside.

Next I cut the DSP from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. It measures 4" x 5-1/4".  I cut the piece on the short side at 1-1/2". This piece is flipped over and both were taped to the front of the card. SO simple!

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink (see, this is why Early Espresso would be better for the card base). It was stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock and was cut using the "Labeled with Love" die or you can use the "Labeled with Love" punch. I bought the set of dies. I die cut a scrap piece of Early Expresso card stock at the same time. I cut the Early Espresso piece in half. I added tape to the top and bottom of the word piece. I lined up the Early Espresso pieces and affixed them to the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1-1/2" from the top and about 7/8" from the sides.

I had some (retired) "Candy Dots" but they weren't dark enough so I colored them using my dark Basic Black Blends pen. I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I was going to make an "Autumn Wishes" card. I didn't have the stamps but I did have the "Words for the Season" dies. The words ended up being just too large for the orientation of this card. I put it in my stash to maybe use it sometime in the near future. I need to remember to write on the back of the piece the name of the dies so I don't forget because I know I will forget. UGH!

Anyway, this was a very fun card to make and I love the simplicity of it. It's a great masculine birthday card. Excellent DSP for that!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweets, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed the background and elements but for the most part it looks like the original. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

For the base of my card I used a half-sheet of Basic White card stock and folded it in half. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Subtles" 6" x 6" stack. The color I used is Fresh Freesia. I taped it to the front of the card.

Using the largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut one from Basic White card stock. I took my blending brush and scrubbed on some Fresh Freesia ink in the center of the circle.

The precut shapes are in the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package of DSP. I punched out two bats, a broom, the cauldron, the green stuff for inside the cauldron, the bottle and the spider. I taped the spider piece to the bottle. The green stuff for inside the cauldron was taped in place.

I taped the bottle to the circle. The cauldron was added next using Dimensionals. The broom was taped across that. Don't add tape to the whole broom, just where it touches the cauldron.

I laid the circle on top of the card front to see where to add the words. The words are from the "Spooky Halloween bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Tape was added to the back of the circle and it was set in place on the front of the card about 5/8" from the top and side edges.

The bats were added next using Dimensionals. I got out some black sequins I had and set them in place using small glue dots and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make and I was able to use a lot of those pre-cut pieces. I still have quite a few of them left.

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Halloween card to share with you. The pieces in my "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package of DSP is getting down there. A few more cards and it's used up! It will be a first! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Spooky Sweet" package and taped it to the front.

One of the rectangle tag type pieces was used for the focal piece. It measures 2" x 3-5/8".  I cut a 2-1/4" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic Black card stock and taped the two pieces together.

I set the focal piece on top of the card so I could see where to stamp the words. They are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped on the front of the card 5 times using black Memento ink.

Next I die cut the house from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. Basic Black card stock was used for that. At the same time I cut a bat.

A piece of Daffodil Delight card stock was trimmed up and taped to the back of the house.

The moon was made using the smallest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set and it was cut from a scrap piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the house and it was set in place on the front of the focal piece.

The moon was taped in place and a bat was added using a small Dimensional.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the panel and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the right and bottom edge of the card. And the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. I like being able to use those tag shaped pieces. The package has quite a few of them! Hope I can work more into fun cards.

Painterly Pears, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I'd make a friendship card instead of a Halloween card. Though I am going to be making a few more Halloween cards, so stay tuned! I found this card on Pinterest and I just loved the simple layout. You can see the original card here. I made it with the products that I had on hand. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card. I'm sure the original card used the Secret Sea card stock, which is SO close to black. My card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Painterly Pears" 12' x 12" package. I cut the bottom piece at 4" x 4" and the top piece at 4" x 3".  I cut the bottom piece at an angle. I started at the upper right corner and cut down to 2-1/4".  I didn't cut the top piece, I just taped it to the top of the card and then added the angled one over it. I wasn't concerned if I had any small gaps because I covered it with a 1/2" wide and 5" long strip of Basic Black card stock. I had to trim the ends. I found that a little difficult since I had already taped the DSP down. I just a little line with my fingernail across the strip where it needed to be cut. I taped that strip over the area where the two pieces of DSP overlaped.

The circles are from the ""Spotlight on Nature" die set. I cut the 3-1/4" one of Basic Black card stock and the Basic White one is 2-3/4".

I stamped the "hello" from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink.

The pears and flowers were fussy cut from a piece of DSP in the pack. The pears were set in place on the white piece using Dimensionals and the flowers were set in place with a little dot of glue.

The white circle was taped to the black circle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. It's about 3/8" from either side and 1" from the top.

I used some retired Candy Dots on the front and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was added to the front and the card was done. After I looked at the picture of the card on here I decided to add tiny pearls to the little yellow flowers, they just looked like they needed something.

This was a very fun card to make and the fussy cutting doesn't take long, just "fussy". Especially those little flowers. But it's SO worth it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Halloween card to share with you. It's one made with a few scraps. It was a happy accident. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the  "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package and taped it to the front of the card.

The little squares were added next. The DSP was leftover pieces from a previous card. I'm not sure which one but I think it was one that had strips of DSP. These squares of DSP measure 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" and the Basic Black squares measure 1-1/2" x 1-1/2".  I taped the pieces together. Then I set them in place on the front of the card. I added the top and bottom one first. They are about 1/4" from the top edge, bottom edge and fold. They were taped in place. The center one was set in place using Dimensionals.

The little character is from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and was stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut it out using the matching die. He was colored using both light and dark Blends pens. I used Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight. And for the pants I sued Petunia Pop and my Blending pen because I didn't by the in color Blends pens. I set the piece in place using Dimensinals.

The words were stamped next. They are from the same "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I used black Memento ink to stamp them.

I had also cut a Basic Black bat using the die from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

The bat needed a bit of sparkle so I colored over it with my Wink of Stella pen. I also colored the lollypop and shirt.  I thought it could use a little more sparkle so I colored over the DSP on each square.

This was a fun card to make and SO easy too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Gray card stock and textured it using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I cut a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and scrubbed on some color using my Blending brush and ink pads. First I took the second smallest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set and cut a circle from the center of a scrap piece of card stock.

I used removable tape and set the circle where I wanted the moon to go. I scrubbed on some Pumpkin Pie ink. Then I scrubbed on some Mossy Meadow on the "grassy" area. And using that piece I cut the circle from, I laid it over the moon so only the moon was showing and I scrubbed on some Daffodil Delight ink. Then I took the same brush with the Pumpkin Pie ink on it and without adding more ink I scrubbed it over the moon to tone it down a bit.

Then I die cut the fence, house and bat using Basic Black card stock. I set them aside.

The cat was stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I colored it in using my light Blends pens in Pumpkin Pie, Berry Burst, Pecan Pie and Granny Apple Green. Then I die cut it with the matching die in the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set aside.

I cut the fence in half. I glued one piece to the right, then the house and then the other half of the fence.

I stamped the "Spooky" from the same bundle using black Memento ink.

The piece was then glued to the Basic Gray piece about 3/8" from the bottom and right of the Basic Gray piece.

The cat was then set in place. I added the bat using a small Dimensional.

Using my Wink of Stella I colored the bat, the hat and the treat bucket.  And the card was done.

This was such a fun card and it did not allow me to use one single piece of Designer Series Paper from my package to help fulfill my goal of using up all the pieces in the package. UGH!  Maybe tomorrow!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun layered Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that are some fun layered strips. They are made using scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) pieces from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. The two strips on the side measure 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" and the center piece measures 3-3/4" x 1-3/4". The Basic Black layers behind the little strips measure 4" x 1-1/2" and the larger piece measures 4" x 2". I taped the pieces together and then I taped them to the front of the card. I started with the two smaller strips and when I got them in place I added the middle piece. I like to lay them on the piece without tape first to make sure how much space I need to add to them. There should be 1/4" between the strips and 1/4" from the edges.

Once the strips were in place I die cut the house, fence and bat. I took a piece of Lemon Lolly card stock and after trimming it a bit I taped it to the back of the house. Dimensionals were added to the back of the house and I set it aside.

The dog from the "Spooky Halloween" was stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I colored him in using both light and dark Blends pens. I used Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and for the pants I used my Blending pen and Petunia Pop ink since I don't have the Blends pens in the in colors. I die cut the dog, added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

The words are from the same "Spooky Halloween" and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of DSP.  The piece measured 1-1/4" x 2-1/4". The Basic Black layer behind it measures 1-1/2" x 2-1/2". I taped the two layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I was now ready to assemble it. I added the house first about 7/8" from the bottom edge and 1/2" from the left side. The fence was glued in place and then the character was added/

The words were added last. I fit them in between the house and dog with just enough space so they wouldn't all be touching.

The bat was glued to the word piece. I thought the card was done but I just had to add some Wink of Stella to the lollypop, house windows and the bat.

This was a very fun card to make. It's getting me closer to my goal of using up that package of DSP. There's lots of scraps in there too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Painterly Pears, Impressions Abloom, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I'd take a little break from Halloween cards (though I do need to make more) and make a friendship card. I found it on Pinterest and I thought I'd give it a try with the materials I had. It's not exactly like the original card but it's still pretty. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Next using the oval die from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle, I cut it from another piece of DSP from the same package. I taped that to the front of the card. I centered it on the sides and left the bottom area a little longer. The top is about 5/8" from the top edge and about 5/8" from each side.

The pear and pink flowers are from another sheet in the same package of DSP.  I fussy cut them because I didn't buy the bundle, just the DSP.

The leaves are from the "Impressions Abloom" and were cut using Basic White for the smaller ones and Mossy Meadow for the ones on a stem.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Versa Mark on a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder over it and heat set it. Then I cut it out using the smallest die in the "Nested Essentials" die set.

I taped the word piece down first. It's about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card edge and 1/4" from the right side.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the pear and it was lightly set in place on the front of the card. I did not press down on it because I needed to slip the leaves under it.

A little glue was added to the ends of the leaves and they were slipped under the pear. The Mossy Meadow stem on the right had the end of the stem and last leaf cut off, it was just too long to fit on the card the way I had the pear set. But I did use that leaf on the bottom part of the pear on top of the two little white leaves.

I had fussy cut the pretty Petal Pink flower cluster from another piece of DSP and set in place on the card, tucking a little bit of it under the pear. I did add Dimensionals under the flowers that were showing.

I added a little bit of glue to the end of the pear stem and little Dimensionals under the two leaves and I set it in place on top of the pear.

I had some retired "Candy Dots" and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. It had a little bit of fussy cutting but I didn't mind it because there was something fun on tv to watch so it makes fussy cutting go by faster!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super easy Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I used a piece of scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweets" 12" x 12" package. It measures 2-1/2" x 5". I taped it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that measures 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" and then I taped that to the front of the card about 1/4" from the top, bottom and fold.

The white piece is cut from a sheet in the same package of DSP. I snipped the corners. A bottle from that same package was popped out and taped to the white piece. The spider piece was another one that was popped out. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the bottle. Dimensionals were added to the back of the white piece and it was set aside.

The words are from the "Spooky Halloween"  bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I trimmed the piece to measure 2-3/8" x 1-1/8". The Pumpkin Pie layer was cut at 2-1/2" x 1-3/8".  I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place at the top of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The white piece was added next, it's about 3/8" up from the bottom edge and 1/4" from the right edge

I die cut three Basic Black bats using the die in the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set in place using Dimensionals.

I added some Wink of Stella to the bats and to the spider and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make and I got to use a large scrap piece of DSP in my quest to use up that package. (Bound and determined!!! - wish me luck!).

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another fun Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and stamped the bats on it from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I used black Memento in to do that and I just randomly stamped them all over the piece. I taped that piece to the front of the card base.

I had two scrap pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. They measured 4" x 1-1/2" and the Basic Black layer behind it measures 4-1'4" x 1-3/4". I taped the pieces together. I taped the left one to the front of the card on first. It's about 1/4" from the top and from the fold.

The second strip was taped down about 1" down from the top and 1-1/4" from the fold.

I popped out the cauldron from a fun sheet in the DSP package. I also popped out the candy corns and bats.

Using my x-acto knife I cut a slit in the cauldron and taped the candy corns in place. I added Dimensionals to the cauldron and set it in place on the front of the card. It's about 3/4" from the bottom edge of the card and 3/4" from the right side. Once the cauldron was set in place I added a candy corn to the bottom right using a Dimensional.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the bats and they were set in place.

The word is from the same "Spooky Halloween" bundle and was stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I fussy cut it, added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the upper part of the card. And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. It's quick and easy too!

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Halloween card to share with you. I'm on a quest to use up that 12" x 12" Spooky Sweet package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I think it would be a first! It would probably get used up faster if I made more than one of each card I do. Anyway, read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the DSP and taped it to the front of the card.

I was thrilled when I was able to use one of those tags that came on a sheet in the package. There's LOTS of tags in there and I thought they would be something that would probably just remain in the package with the rest of the scraps.  I took the green on with the two candies and cut a Basic Black layer for it. My layer measures 2-1/4" x 2-2/4".  I taped the two pieces together and set them aside.

I decided to use the cat image from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle for a change. I used the dog a lot and will probably use it a bit more since I had stamped and cut a few out the last time I used it.  I used my light Blends pens to color it in. I used Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Granny Apple Green and Berry Burst. Once the character was colored I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the green rectangle piece.

The piece was laid on top of the card to see where the words were going to go. Normally I would stamp the words before taping the DSP down but I thought I was going to stamp the words on a separate piece of card stock and add them but I decided to stamp directly onto the DSP. The words are from the same "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink.  Then I taped that piece to the upper left of the card about 1/4" from the fold and the top edge.

I wasn't sure what to do about the right side until I remembered there is a bat die in the bundle. SO I die cut them and used 3 for my card. I set them in place using Dimensionals.

The card needed something more so I took my Wink of Stella pen and colored everything black on the card, including going over the words and black candies. It was a nice touch and the card was done.

This was a fun and quick card to make. The kiddies will think it's cute too!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package.

Inside that same package is a sheet (2 sheets) full of precut images. Just pop them out and use them. I popped out quite a few for my card.

Once the characters were added using Dimensionals, I colored them with Wink of Stella. I felt the card could use some sparkle. I even added it to the ghosts.

I stamped "Happy Halloween" on the inside using black Memento ink. The words are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle.

This is such a super quick and easy card to make. I got to use a lot of pieces from that sheet.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Floral Charm, Impressions Abloom, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that used scraps sitting around on my worktable. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

The top piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. It measures 2" x 5-1/4". So that left me 2" on the bottom to fill so I took a piece of Basic White card stock cut 2" x 5-1/4" and I textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I taped the DSP in place and glued the textured piece in place.

The floral panel was another piece in the package, it measures 4" x 2-3/4".  I taped it to a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock. It was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I centered it as well as I could by eyeing it.

The words were done on my computer. That piece was sitting on my worktable. I thought I'd use it before it got damaged. I believe it was cut out using the "Spotlight on Nature" dies. It was a while ago that I had cut them but I'm positive that was the set used. I set them in place using Dimentionals on the upper part of the circle where it would be touching the DSP.

I thought the card could use something else so I die cut a Basic White and Mossy Meadow leaves from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle. I taped the two together at the bottom stems, added a little glue and slipped them under the word piece.

It was nice to use up things sitting on my worktable and scraps! This is a very simple layout too. I hope to use it again on future cards.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.

Next I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package and taped it to the front on the card.

On top of that is a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic Black card stock and on top of that is another piece of DSP that measures 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".

The three strips of DSP measure 1" x 2-1/2" and the DSP panel below the strips measures 1-7/8" x 3-1/4".  I taped the strips in place and the panel was set aside. It needed words but I needed to know where I was going to put them and that depended on the characters I was going to add.

I die cut the house from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using Basic Black card stock. I also cut one of Basic White card stock because I wanted to color the windows in. I was able to leave the 6 little windows in the die. I colored them right in the die using my dark Highland Heather Blends pen. I traced the house on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and trimmed most of it away. I glued it to the back of the house. I put a little puddle of glue on a scrap piece of paper. I took a toothpick and touched it to the glue and then touched it to the 6 little windows. I set the die on top of the Basic Black house and pushed the little windows in place. I had some other pieces still stuck in the die and I had colored them and glued them in place too. Some of the edges of the little windows had to be touched up but once on the black house the marker didn't show up if it touched the edges. Once all the pieces were in place I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

The character from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle was stamped using black Memento ink and colored in using both light and dark Blends pens. I used Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Petunia Pop.  Actually I didn't use Petunia Pop because I don't purchase the in-colors pens. I used my ink pad and a Blender pen. Dimensionals were added behind the character and it was laid on top of the card to see where the words would go.

The words are from the same "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on the gray panel. The panel was then taped in place.

I set the house in place first. The highest roof is about 3/4" from the top edge of the card and about 1/2" from the fold on the side roof that's sticking out.

The character was added next and I thought the card was done. So I die cut a black bat and set it in place using a small Dimensional and the card was complete.

This was a very fun card to make. When I stamped the character, there was room for 4 images on my piece of card stock so I stamped and cut out 4. And as I colored the one I colored the other three so they are ready for future cards. I like the colors used on the character so I think it will be fun to use it on other cards. And now they are all ready to be added to a new card!

The Right Words, Beautiful Gallery, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  While looking through my 6" x 6" stacks of Designer Series Papers (DSP) I ran across an image that had been cut in half. I had used the other half in a card a while back but saved this half for a future card. And today I thought I'd use up that piece so it's out of the stack. Now what to do with it.

I used the 5th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set to cut the image out. It barely fit. The image is from the "Beautiful Gallery" stack. I stamped the words from "The Right Words" set using Early Expresso ink. Then I used the 4th largest die to cut the Early Expresso layer out. I taped the two pieces together.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Early Expresso card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Beige card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Beige was cut and taped to the inside.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the arched layers and it was set in place on the center of the card. I just eyed it. I figure if it looks centered to my eyes, it's close enough!

I had some (retired) Candy Dots that I set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. The font on the words was just perfect for the image, it just seemed to fit.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I thought it was such a cute card and it has SO many layers and you all know I love layers! Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.

The layers are as follows. The Pumpkin Pie one measures 4" x 5-1/4". The Daffodil Delight one measures 3-3/4" x 5" and the Petunia Pop one measures 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".  Before taping them together I cut the moon out using a 1-5/8" circle die.  I stamped the bats from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I set the moon aside. Once the layers were taped together I taped them to the front of the card.

Next I gathered all the pieces from the Designer Series Paper (DSP) package that I would need. They are from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I was thrilled that the card used a couple of pieces that I had no idea what to do with, especially the black ribbon end piece. That piece was trimmed close to the white lines. I tried to do it on my paper cutter but ended up fussy cutting it. And the white piece behind the character was trimmed at the upper corners.

A piece of DSP was cut at 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" and taped to the Petunia Pop piece. It's about 7/8" from the top edge of the Petunia Pop piece. Next I taped the ribbon piece down. It's about 1/4" from the left edge.

The white piece that was snipped at the corners was added next. It just barely covers the white line on the right of the strip and it lines up with the top edge of the DSP.

A fence was cut from a die in the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using Basic Black card stock. I glued it to the front of the card about 1/4" up and 1/4" over from the right and bottom edges of the Petunia Pop piece.

The moon was glued on next.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Petunia Pop. Though I think you could stamp them in the center of the large layer and get by with it not showing. I cut them out using the second smallest die in the "Countryside Corners" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place above the white piece and about 1/4" from the Petunia Pop edge.

The character was stamped using black Memento ink and cut out using the matching die in the bundle. I also stamped and cut out the pumpkin. I colored the character using Blends pens. I used both light and dark in the following colors, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Petunia Pop. Dimensionals were added to the back of the character and the pumpkin and they were set in place on the front of the card.

I didn't have the stars on the left like the ones used on the original card so I took out some glow in the dark bats I had (retired) and set three of them on the card.  And the card was done.

It's just too darn cute! It's SO colorful too! Now can you see why I just had to make it? I'm anxious to see how bright the bats glow!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I changed it a little. There were no measurements in the video that was linked to the original pic so I had to guess.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside. And a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slate card stock for the layer on the outside.

On the Smoky Slate piece I stamped the bats from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using black Memento ink. And using Smoky Slate ink I stamped the star looking images. Then I taped that to the card base.

Next I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. This is a super fun package of adorable Halloween themed papers. My piece of DSP measures 3" x 2-1/2".  The Basic Black layer behind the DSP measures 3-1/8" x 2-5/8". Before taping the two pieces together I cut the house from the center of the Basic Black piece.

The house die is from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and after cutting I added a piece of custom cut Lemon Lolly card stock and glued it to the back of the house to make it look like the lights are on.  Yup, every light in the house!!

I added Wink of Stella to the roofs on the house and then set the house in place on top of the DSP using Dimensionals.

The DSP was then taped to the Basic Black layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and the house was set in place on top of the DSP layer. Then Dimensionals were added to the back of that and set aside.

I set the piece on top of the front of the card to see where to add the words. The words are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink.

I had some stars from a package that now has no name on it. They are in different colors so I took my dark black Blends pen and colored it and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I just LOVE that DSP, it's too stinkin' cute!

Sentimental Framing, Florals in Bloom, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. Please read on to se how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured  it using the "Exposed Brick embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Florals in Bloom" 12" x 12" package. The piece on the right was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-1/2".  The Pumpkin Pie layer behind it measures 3" x 2-3/4".  The strip on the right is the backside of the DSP and was cut at 2" x 4-1/4".  I taped the DSP to the card stock.

I glued the long strip in place on the left and then I glued the other one on top.

The words are from the "Sentimental Framing" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the second largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I took a sticker from the "Memories in Bloom" sticker sheet and affixed it to the top of the word circle. I added a small pearl to the center of the flower and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I like the colors of the DSP too.

Thank you SO very much for taking you time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

Simply Said, Floral Charm, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued that to the front.

The Cajun Craze piece was cut at 4-1/2" x 3-1/4". On top of that is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock. I taped that to the Cajun Craze piece.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used to make the 3/4" x 4" strips were from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. The center Cajun Craze piece was textured using the "Glass Garden" folder and was cut at 1" x 4".  I taped the DSP pieces in place first and then I glued the Cajun Craze piece in place.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the smallest die from the "Countryside Corners" set. I gut the piece so the words were more to the left. I used Cajun Craze card stock for the layer behind the word piece. I used the retired "Timeless Label" punch. I had grabbed the wrong punch and I didn't notice it till after everything was taped and glued in place. Oh well, it still looks good. I taped the word piece to the Cajun Craze punched piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I fussy cut a flower and two leaves from the same package of DSP. Dimensionals were added behind the flower. I pressed the ends of the leaves in to the Dimensionals and then I set the flower in place.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card and I really like this layout. It's fun and different. It's got lots of layers, which is what I LOVE.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Halloween card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I did change it a little. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

Using a piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

I used the third largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set and colored it a Highland Heather ink and my Blending brush.

The rest of the pieces on the card are from the same package of DSP.

On the green rectangle piece I stamped the "Happy Halloween" using black Memento ink. I taped it on the upper right of the card about 3/8" from the top and 1/2" from the right side.

Just below the green piece the black ribbon piece was taped in place.

The circle was taped over the end of the black piece. It's about 1/4" from the left and bottom edges.

The broom was taped down next.

I stamped the little character from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using black Memento ink. I cut it out using the matching die. Using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie and Highland Heather Blends pens I colored it in. I used my black marker to color in the hands, tail, nose and bridge of the nose. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the end of the broom.

I added a small Dimensional to the candy corn and bat and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a fun, quick and easy card to make. I loved it that I could use several of the elements in the package of DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Charming Day, Floral Charm, Sentimental Framing, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Blackberry Bliss card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I trimmed it to 4" x 5-1/4" and glued it to the front of the card with equal spacing all around.

Next I cut my Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. The pieces measure 2" x 4" and two cut at 1" x 4".  The two pieces on the sides are the backside of the center piece.

I glued the center piece in place first. It's about 1-3/4" from either side. Then the other two strips were glued in place on each side of the center piece.

The words are from the "Sentimental Framing" bundle. I die cut the piece first and then stamped the words. If you stamp the words first you won't be able to see them through the metal plate. They were stamped on Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the center of the card.

I had die cut a couple of leaf sets from the "Charming Day" bundle using Mossy Meadow card stock. Glue was added on the last two leaves and set in place under the upper left corner of the word piece. And the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. It's a great way to use up some smaller pieces of DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,

Delightful Wishes, Charming Day, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a beautiful get well card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. There is a link to the blog where it came from if you click on the Pinterst photo. You can see the original card by clicking here. There was not enough details on how the card was made. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Blackberry Bliss. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the inside.

Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the front of the card.

The Basic White banner piece was cut next. I used the 9th largest die from the "Party Banners" die set. I stamped the "you well" words from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. They were stamped about 1/2" up from the middle point of the banner piece. I used Blackberry Bliss ink on the words.

Next I stamped the flowers from the "Charming Day" bundle. I cut them out with the matching dies. They were colored using the light and dark "Mossy Meadow" Blends pens on the leaves. The smaller flower was colored in using both light and dark "Fresh Freesia" Blends pens. The largest flower was colored in using the light and dark "Berry Burst" Blends pens and the flower next to it was colored in using both light and dark "Blackberry Bliss" Blends pens.

I cut two leaf sets using Mossy Meadow card stock.

The words are from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. I cut the "wishing" out of Basic White card stock that was adhered to a double sided sticky sheet. This made it easer for me to stick it to the background piece. That background piece was cut using Blackberry Bliss card stock. When adding the "wishing" I remembered to keep the little dots for the "i's".

I taped the banner piece in place on the front of the card about 3/4" on both sides and top.

The flowers were added using Dimensionals. I didn't press down on them yet because I needed to slip the leaf clusters under. I did add a little bit of glue to the end of each leaf cluster and then slipped them under the flowers. I pressed down on the flowers.

The words were added next I cut pieces of Dimensionals and added them to the "wish" part and glue to the "ing" part. I set the piece in place across the front.

I had some Mossy Meadow Candy Dots (retire) and I added them to the front. I still have a lot of dots left and need to use them up.

This was not only a fun card to make but a very gorgeous card. Can you see why I had to make one? My friend is going to love it. Off it goes in the mail tomorrow.

Thank you SO very much for stopping by to see today's get well card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. This particular piece actually has an oval frame with a bat on each end printed on it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it and as I was putting it back in the stack of pieces I cut I had set the house scene on top and thought it would make a fun layer. So there's my fun layer.

The house scene was trimmed to measure 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".  I taped that to the first piece of DSP and then I taped that to the front of the card.

The hippo, bat and candy corn are from another sheet in the package that you just pop out. They are pre-cut and already colored for you. Such a deal!  If you need a card quick, this is the way to go! I added these three pieces using Dimensionals.

I also added some Wink of Stella to the bat, the bag in the hippos hands, the candy corn, the pumpkin on the porch and the light fixture. And the card was done.

This was such a fun and super quick and easy card to make!
