The first thing I did was I cut the Real Red backing piece using the die from the "Peace on Earth" die set using the largest layered die in there. Then I took the smaller die and laid it on a piece of Basic White card stock so I could get an idea where things were going to go.
Using my Real Red ink pad and the cute little trees and candy canes stamp, from the "Homemade Treats" bundle, I covered a 2" x 4" area. I paid special attention to not getting ink on the edges of the stamp because when stamping on the card stock it showed the mess. I also dropped the stamp and made a bigger mess so I had to start over. It would have been so bad but I had already die cut the piece before stamping. UGH. Once the area was covered I laid the die on top to see where my words would go.
I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using black Memento ink. Then I cut the piece out using the smaller die. I moved the die over so I had room on the left for the candy cane. I taped the two layers together.
The candy cane is from the "Homemade Treats" bundle and was stamped using Real Red ink. I cut it out using the matching die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the left side of the piece.
I punched an 1/8th" hole and I will add a piece of white Baker's Twine to it later. And that was it. Now to make a dozen or so! I didn't want to go too fancy or something that would take a lot of time because it's just going to get tossed anyway.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas gift tag,
Wanda
