Cutest Crew, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock before texturing it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder, I took my blending brush and scrubbed on some Soft Sea Foam ink in an oval shape were I want the birds to go.  I glued the piece in place and set it under my stamping mat to set up and stay flat while I worked on the other parts of the card.

I stamped the birds and the words from the "Cutest Crew" bundle using Basic Black hybrid ink.

I fussy cut the words and I die cut the birds.

The birds were colored in using both light and dark Daffodil Delight Blends pens. The beaks were colored in using light Pumpkin Pie and the grass was colored in using dark Soft Sea Foam. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The "hello" was traced using the light Pumpkin Pie blends. Dimensionals were added to the back and they was set in place on the front of the card.

I die cut the butterflies using Basic White card stock and colored them with my light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen. I glued them in place and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I can't tell you how much I LOVE making cards with those little birds!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Extraordinary Flora, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a wedding card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 5" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with the (Corrugated" (retired) embossing folder. I hung on to this folder because I've always loved that look. You can use whatever current folder you have, any of the current ones will look just as lovely. I glued this piece to the front of the card allowing equal spacing between the top, bottom and right side. I set it under my stamping mat to set up.

Next I hunted for wedding words but none of the sets I own had anything so I just used my word processor to create them. I used the font "Snell Roundhand" at 18pt. and just printed it out on Basic White card stock with the printer set at black ink.

The words were die cut using the smallest square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.  I thought they'd look nicer cut at the angle instead of just flat/normal. I taped them on place using a banner that is from the "Three Banner" punch, using Basic White card stock. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the tip of the banner piece to the fold and 2" up from the bottom from that same tip.

I had some flowers that were die cut from the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape roll. The tape and the matching die is still available.  I had cut a section off the tape and set it in place on a piece of Basic White card stock. The tape is pretty on it's own but a bit too transparent for my taste so having it on a white background gave it a more solid look plus it was more firm to work with. Starting with the long green piece on the left I taped it in place. Then I took a small flower, added a small Dimensional to the back and set it in place, tucking a little bit of it under the banner piece. The large flower piece was added next. I added tape to the part of the flower that would be touching the word piece and Dimensionals on the rest. And for the bottom flower, I had a bit of an issue with it. I almost tossed it because the flower didn't cut nice because part of it was cut off when I had cut the strip. But I set it in place anyway and then I added a small flower on top of it and viola, I had a viable and pretty piece again.

For the embellishments, I colored three pearls using my light Flirty Flamingo Blends pen. I let them dry for a few seconds before I set them in place on the front of the card.  And the card was done.

I do like how this turned out and I think it would be a great layout for a Mother's Day, Birthday, Get Well or Thinking of You card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,
Wanda

Waterside Retreat, Lovely Arrangements, Branching Out, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy masculine birthday card to share with you. It could also be changed to a Father's Day or masculine thinking of you card. I found the card on Terri's YouTube channel. She shows how to make use of all of the images on a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) using the "Waterside Retreat" 12" x 12" package. You can see her wonderful video by clicking here. For this particular card, the basic instructions start at about the 3:16 mark.

To make the card I used a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. I did mine this way because I didn't want to texture the whole half-sheet of Mossy Meadow and I didn't want to add a piece of Basic White to the inside. I just prefer to do my cards this way.

Next the image is from the "Waterside Retreat" package of DSP and I cut it out using the 4th largest die in the "Branching Out" die set. It is retiring but last I checked it was still available.

The words are from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I taped this image to a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock that was cut using the 3rd largest die in that set.

Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I was thrilled to see that Terri showed how to use every image on that sheet. Though one I will struggle with because I do not have the cattail dies that she used but I'm sure I'll come up with something and luck you will get to see it here! LOL

This was such a super quick card to make and I may make another one from the second sheet in the package. I'm on a quest to use up my DSP instead of hanging on to it. I figure if I really need to, I could purchase more but my real plan is to just move on to another package of DSP I have and work on it. Maybe that way I'll use more of my papers and not hoard them for something better that usually never comes along! Wish me luck there!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,

Sunset Coast, Scenic Coast, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. There was no link to how it was made so please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and I taped it to the inside.

A 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Azure Afternoon card stock was cut for the front of the card. I textured it using the "So Swirly" (retired) embossing folder.  I glued it to the front of the card.

Next I cut the lighthouse out. using the "Sunset Coast" die set and Night of Navy card stock. I cut the lighthouse piece out using the 3rd largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set. I made sure there was room on the bottom and sides so it looked like it was on a higher hill. I trimmed the sides to fit with the die cut sides.

The sunset is from the "Scenic Coast" 6" x 6" stack of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I laid the lighthouse piece on top of the DSP so I could see where it needed to be cut out to get the maximum "pretty" on the card. I cut it out using the same size die as I used for the lighthouse.

I took another piece of Night of Navy card stock and cut the layer behind the DSP using the next larger arched die. I glued the DSP to the larger Night of Navy arched piece. Then I taped the lighthouse piece down.

Two die cut birds were taped in place in the sky. I had cut them out the same time as the lighthouse. There was a lot of open area to cut them out. I was glad they looked dark enough to they don't look so blue.

From the scraps of Night of Navy card stock I had cut a 1" x 4-1/4" strip and glued it to the front of the card about 7/8" from the bottom edge of the card base.

The arched layers were set in place on the front of the card.

The words were done on my computer and I had cut them out with a retired die. They were sitting on my worktable and I thought this looked like a peaceful sympathy card. I set it in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda

Waterside Retreat, Scenic Coast, Scalloped Blooms, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Waterside Retreat" 12" x 12" package.

I cut the lighthouse from the "Sunset Coast" die set using Night of Navy card stock. Then I used a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" die set to cut the circle over the lighthouse image. If I had been smart, I would have used a double sided sticky sheet on the Night of Navy piece before cutting it, but I didn't so glue had to be used.

A piece of DSP from the "Scenic Coast" 6" x 6"  stack. I trimmed the piece to fit in the circle. It's all up to you where you want the sun to set and here I chose the middle. I had to use glue to hold it in place.

Using the largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut a circle from the "Waterside Retreat" piece I had cut.

The lighthouse circled piece was then glued to the opening on the "Waterside Retreat" piece.

Using the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle, I stamped the words on the DSP using Basic Black hybrid ink. I gave it a few seconds to dry. I think it takes a little longer to dry than the Memento ink.

Once the ink was dry I taped the piece to the card base and the card was done.

On the original card some gulls were stamped by the wording. I didn't buy the whole bundle, I just bought the die set.

This was a fun card to make. A bit touchy with the circle placement but other than that it went quickly.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Waterside Retreat, Cutest Crew, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy masculine card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Waterside Retreat" 12" x 12" package. I cut this image from a sheet that has 10 wonderful images to cut and use. I taped it to the front of the card base.

The focal image is from the same sheet of DSP. I used the "Branching Out Die" set to cut it out. I also cut another piece out using Basic White card stock and one step larger. I used my blending brush and Balmy Blue ink to color the edges.

The two die cut pieces were taped together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The words are from the "Cutest Crew" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black hybrid ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Using my blending brush I scrubbed the edges with Balmy Blue. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place over an ice cream cone sign on the image.

And that was it. Super quick and easy. This would be a great card for Father's Day too. I can't wait to play with a few more of those images in that package of DSP.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda

Lily of the Valley, Sweet Words & Labels, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I started. Kind of like yesterday's card. I'm thinking I may need to take a day off and come back fresh!  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and textured it using the "Eyelet Blooms" die. I think it's a very pretty die but it takes a lot of time to clean out all of those little dots not only from the card stock but from the die itself.  But it's SO worth it.

I colored the center area using the new "Peaceful Pine" ink but I think I should have went with Old Olive instead, this just looks to green. I added little dots of glue to the flat spots around the large "flowers" and set it in place on the front of the card.

Next I cut a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Valley in Bloom" 12" x 12" package. I glued it to the left side of the card (on top of the die cut piece).

I added a leaf that was cut from the same DSP using the "Lily of the Valley" dies. A Basic Beige lily of the valley was cut and both were glued to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Friendly Foliage" bundle and were stamped using Peaceful Pine ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set. Using the next size larger die I cut out the layer on Peaceful Pine card stock. I taped the layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I'm not sure what I could have done to improve this card. I tried Garden Green on the die cut piece and it looked way too light. Then I used the Peaceful Pine ink thinking it was better but it's still too green. Maybe I should have went with the Darling Duckling ink.  I don't know. I got frustrated that I wasn't getting the color I was hoping for and thought I'd just put the card together and maybe it would all come into focus. All I can focus on is that center bright green area.  UGH.   But it was a learning experience and I'm going to give this another try in a few days with different DSP and different colors because I like the concept!

I promise you, tomorrow's card will be SO much better!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda

Meant for You Ephemera, Ballon Festoon, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a children's birthday card to share with you. I didn't realize how little images I have to make children's cards. I could use the "Cutest Crew" or the "Sweet Bugs" but I didn't think of those sets until I was all done. This is what I came up with and it's going to have to do because I need it today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4' x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Velvet Meadows" 12" x 12" package. Before taping it to the front of the card base I stenciled the balloon from the "Balloon Festoon" die set. I cut the balloon out on a piece of card stock, set it on the DSP and then scrubbed on some Cloud Cover ink using my blending brush.

The cluster of balloons is from the "Meant for You Mix & Match" ephemera package. The images in the package are stickers but I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the balloon.

The words are from the "Banner Sayings" set and were stamped using Basic Black hybrid ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I punched them out using the "Three Banner" punch.

I thought the card could use a little something more so I added Wink of Stella to the balloons but it still needed something. I pulled out some old "Itty Bitty Bokeh" mixed dots/sequins and glued them in place on the front of the card. It dressed it up some but I'm still not happy with the way it turned out. It's nothing like what was in my head! But it's done and ready to go.

It was fun making it but frustrating because I wasn't sure where I was going with it. I do like how the balloon blended in nicely with the DSP but other than that, it could use a bit more finesse.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Artisan Sketched Garden, Garden Gatherings, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I love layers and this card has plenty!  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock at 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped one to the inside and the other I textured using a retired embossing folder. I glued the piece to the front of the card.

Next I cut a 5-1/4" x 1" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Artisan Sketched Garden" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. I glued it to the front of the card about 5/8" up from the bottom edge of the card base.

The squares were cut next. Using the first and second square dies from the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut the large one using Basic Black card stock and the other one using Basic White card stock. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card with the tips just a hair under the edges of the Basic White textured layer.

The floral image is from another sheet in the "Artisan Sketched Garden" package of DSP. I fussy cut it and then colored the flowers using both light and dark Flirty Flamingo Blends and the leaves were colored in using the light Granny Apple Green Blends.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was et in place on the middle of the square layered piece.

A Basic Black Baker's twine bow was tied and added using a glue dot.

The words are from the "Garden Gatherings" bundle and were stamped using Versa Mark on Basic Black card stock. White embossing powder was sprinkled on and it was heat set in place. I trimmed the piece to measure 2" x 3/8". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. And that was it, the card was done.

It's simple yet has a lot of pieces to it. I love this layout and I am planning on using it again in the near future.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Waterside Retreat, Garden Gatherings, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick masculine card to share with you.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut the beautiful watercolor boat/lake image from a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that came from the "Waterside Retreat" 12" x 12" package. After cutting it from the sheet of several other images, I measured it. It measures 4-3/4" x 3-1/4".

A 5" x 3-1/2" piece of "Peaceful Pine"card stock for the layer. I taped the two pieces together and then taped that to the card base.

The words are from the "Garden Gatherings" bundle and were stamped using the new Basic Black hybrid ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This is such a perfect masculine birthday card. It would also make a great Father's Day card and even a masculine sympathy card.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Lovely & Beautiful, Floral Spray, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Basic White and textured it using the "Floral Spray" embossing folder. Using strong tape, I taped it to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a 2-5/8" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the left side of the card base. It overlapped the textured piece a little. You can also do it the opposite and tape down the DSP first and then the textured piece, it really doesn't matter. It depends on which one you want to highlight more than the other.

The words are from the "Simply Said" (retired) using the new Basic Black hybrid ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words" die set.

Then I used the next largest die in that set and cut a layer using "Fresh Freesia" card stock.

I taped the two layers together and added Dimensionals to the back. I set them in place on the center of the card. I didn't press down on the piece yet because I needed to add the leaf.

The leaf is from the "Springtime Scenes" die set and it was cut using gold foil card stock. I added a little dot of glue on the last four leaves and slipped it under the word piece.

I still have some brass butterflies left so I added one to the word piece and the card was done.

This is such pretty paper to play with and I do like how this card turned out. It was fun, quick and easy to do.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Floral Spray, Peace on Earth, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst card stock for the layer. I chose that color because the piece was sitting on my worktable with the layer I cut from the center for yesterday's card. So why not use it before it gets ruined? I taped that piece to the front of the card base.

Next I cut the front piece from Basic White card stock. It measures 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I cut the square in the upper part using the largest square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also used this as my guide for the embossed image.

I stamped the floral image using the "Floral Spray" embossing folder. I set the piece with the square cut out on it over the textured piece to find the best image I could that would fit in that opening.  Once I found what I liked I trimmed it up and taped it to the Berry Burst piece.

The words were stamped next. I used a retired set (Peace on Earth)  and Basic Black Hybrid ink to stamp them. You want to give this ink a good minuted to dry. I touched it and smeared it a little but I was able to clean it up using my art gum kneadable eraser. I love that eraser. It picks up graphite (and other stuff) without making the paper pill. I even removed the eraser from my mechanical pencil, pinched off a piece of the kneadable eraser and formed it into a drumstick ice cream cone shape and pushed it into the place where the eraser goes. Because it's kneadable you can work it by stretching it and rolling it between your thumb and forefinger and get it soft and even more kneadable. Then shape it to fit where you want.  I love having it at the end of my mechanical pencils.  Just make sure you have a large enough piece so it goes deep into the eraser opening or it will just roll out.  Okay, sales pitch is done. LOL I added Dimensionals to the back of the piece and set it in place on top of the card base.

I had some retired embellishments from the "Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots" package and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy sympathy card to make. I think it would make a nice card for other occasions too. It's an easy layout to play with too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda

Velvet Meadow, Scalloped Blooms, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a simple birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper form the "Velvet Meadow" 12" x 12" package and glued it to the front of the card base. I used glue because the other side has some velvet images on it and I needed the piece to stick well. I wasn't sure if tape would hold down on the velvet so I decided not to take any chances and to just glue it. I set it under my stamping mat so it could lay very flat while the glue set up.

In the meantime I cut another piece of the DSP but this time I used the velvety side. These flowers are just SO pretty in person. They have a velvety center and there's little velvet flowers around the background. My piece was cut at 2" x 4-3/4" and I layered it with a 2-1/4" x 5" piece of Peaceful Pine card stock.

I taped this to the front of the card about 1/4" from the fold and both sides.

The words are from the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle and were stamped using the Basic Black hybrid ink on Basic white card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set.

I used the next size up die for the Peaceful Pine layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" up from the bottom and equal spacing on each side. I just eyed it. I figure if it looks equal to my eyes, it's close enough. I did measure the right side and it's about 1-1/8" from the right edge of the card base.

I had some retired "Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots" in a color that was close enough to the color in the flowers so I used them. I need to use up these embellishments and it's happening but it's happening slowly. But I should look at it as "it's happening", right?  Anyway, after adding the embellishments, the card was done.

This was such a super quick and easy card to make. This velvet DSP is SO pretty and I can't wait to play with it some more.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Velvet Meadow, Sweet Words, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it's made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Whit card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst card stock for the largest layer.

A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Velvet Meadow" 12" x 12" package was used for the top layer. This DSP has velvet flowers on it. This particular piece has the velvet on the little white flowers. So fun, so different, and so pretty! I taped this to the Berry Burst piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Scalloped Blooms" set and were stamped using the new Basic Black Hybrid ink pad. This ink pad works with markers, watercolors and alcohol inks.  Gotta love that.  I know I do. And I find it stamps such a crisp image.

I cut the words out using a die from the "Sweet Words" labels and dies. Before taping the Berry Burst card stock you can cut the next largest label for the layer. I didn't do that, I had a scrap piece and I used that for my piece. I taped the die cut pieces together, added Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the front of the card.

The little hearts are from the border of the Berry Burst layer. I glued them in place on the word piece and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love this velvet paper. There's SO many pretty designs in this package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Garden Gatherings, Sweet Words & Labels, Bloom Boutique, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I'd share a card I made using the "Garden Gatherings" bundle. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bloom Boutique" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

Next I cut the pieces for the three layers. The top DSP layer was cut at 2-1/8" x 4". It's from the same package of DSP. The Crisp Cantaloupe layer was cut at 2-3/8" x 4-1/4" and the Hydrangea Hue layer was cut at 2-5/8" x 4-1/2".  I taped all three together and then taped them to the front of the card about 1/2" from the top and sides.

I cut the pretty frame for the flower from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set using Basic White card stock. Using my blending brush I scrubbed on some Hydrangea Hue ink.

The flower pot was cut using Hydrangea Hue card stock and was stamped using Hydrangea Hue ink and the stamp from the "Garden Gatherings" bundle.

I stamped the stem of the flowers using Peaceful Pine ink and cut them out with the matching die in the "Garden Gatherings" bundle.

The flowers were stamped using Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. I fussy cut them and then taped them to the stem piece. I taped that piece to the back of the vase. Dimensionals were added to the piece and it was set in place on the pretty frame.

Dimenisonals were added to the back of the pretty frame and it was set in place on the front of th card about1-1/8" from the left side and 1/4" from the bottom.

The words are from the same "Garden Gatherings" bundle and were stamped using Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" set, I cut them as close to the right edge of the die as possible. I used Hydrangea Hue ink to stamp the words. I Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place about 1-1/4" from the top and 1/2" from the right side.

I added some pearls to the flowers and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make, it has lot of layers and pieces but it was still fun. I love the new in-colors.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Bloom Boutique, Floral Spray, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Playing with the new stuff is in full force! LOL Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of gold foil card stock and taped it to the card base, allowing equal spacing all around.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Bloom Boutique" 12" x 12" package. I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece and then trimmed it to fit the angle I wanted on the card.

I cut the piece at an angle from the top edge mark at 3-1/2" and the bottom at 1".

The Basic White piece was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and then trimmed to fit. I cut the piece at an angle from the top edge mark at 1-5/8" from the top right corner and the bottom right corner to the 4" mark. I textured this piece using the "Floral Spray" embossing folder.

I taped the DSP and the textured piece to the gold foil piece.

Next I stamped the words from the "Scalloped Blossoms" bundle using Pecan Pie ink. Then I cut them using a die from the "Stampin' Cut & Emboss" dies. I used the next size larger to cut the gold foil layer.

I taped the two pieces together, added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the center of the card. It looked centered enough to me, I didn't measure.  When cutting the gold foil piece, little hearts were left behind on my die cutting machine. I glued them to the word piece and the card was done.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

All Aflutter, Floral Spray, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I am going to use as a base to tape the top strips on.

I cut a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" strip of Basic White and textured it using the new "Floral Spray" embossing folder.

The top strip was cut at 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" and the bottom strip was cut at 1" x 5-1/4".  On the bottom strip I stamped the words from the "All Aflutter" stamp set using the new hybrid Basic Black ink.

I added tape to the top strip. I set it in place and pressed down on the upper area but not on the lower part. I added glue to the textured strip and slipped it under the top strip by just a hair. And the bottom strip was taped in place.

I cut two 1/4" x 5-1/4" strips of Basic White and I glued them to the edges of the top and bottom strips.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the top of the card base.

The butterflies are from the "All Aflutter" set and was stamped using Smoky Slate ink that was stamped off twice and then on the Basic White piece. I cut them out using the matching punch. Dimensionals were added to the back of each one and they were set in lace on the front of the card.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. The new "Floral Spray" embossing folder is SO pretty and I look forward to playing with it again sometime soon. I never know how soon but I will tell you that it's still sitting on my worktable! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

Sunset Coast, Sunrise Sailing, Words & Wishes, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the top layer. I set the sail boat die from the "Sunset Coast" die set a bit off center and towards the upper part of the card. I wanted to have room for the words.

After cutting the ship circle out, I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Scenic Coast" 6" x 6" Specialty stack. It's specialty because the water has shimmers on it. It doesn't show in the pic but it's there and it's pretty.

I added tape to the back of the Night of Navy piece and some glue to the sailboat and set it in place on top of the DSP. I didn't cut my DSP enough so I had to trim some of it so it wouldn't show.

I thought the piece looked a bit blah so I stamped some seagulls from the retired "Sunrise Sailing" bundle using Night of Navy ink.

There was a large gull leftover from the ones I cut yesterday so I glued that in place on the upper left.

The words are from the "Garden Gathering" bundle and were stamped using Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the fancy die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set. I thought the dies were SO pretty. I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was another quick and easy card to make. My stash of masculine cards is pretty thin so I will be replenishing that with a few more of these cards later. I have some other fun sets to play with first before I repeat a set too many times.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Sunset Coast, Scenic Coast, Peace on Earth, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measures 4" x 5-1/4". I taped one to the inside and the other was taped to the outside.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic Black card stock and cut the lighthouse circled piece using the die from the "Sunset Coast" die set.

The pretty sunset behind it is from the "Scenic Coast" 6" x 6" stack of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This paper has some shimmer to it. On the piece I have here, the shimmer is in the water. It doesn't show up on here but in person it's SO pretty. This DSP was taped to the back of the lighthouse circle and the edges were trimmed so none of the DSP hangs over. This piece was taped to the front of the card.

The set has a die that has 3 gulls on it. I cut the three from Basic White card stock and chose the one I wanted for my card. I glued it in place on the upper left corner.

The words are from the retired "Peace on Earth" set (I didn't have any sympathy words in any of the current sets I have). I used the new Basic Black ink pad. It's a very sharp image using this new ink. I'm very pleased with it. It's supposed to work with watercolor and alcohol markers. I thought it would have a nasty smell but there's not much of a smell at all. Once the words were stamped I cut them out using the smallest die in the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set. There's SO many beautiful dies in that set.

I took one of the hearts that were cut on the sides of the piece and I colored it using the dark Poppy Parade Blends pen.  The bottom of the word piece needed something and the little hearts were just sitting there on my cutting plate and I thought I'd just use one. I glued it in place on the word piece.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. The part that took the longest was trying to hunt down the sympathy words.  I love the look of the DSP and the die is just perfect with it. SO pretty!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda

Cutest Crew, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card to share with you using the "Cutest Crew" bundle. I just couldn't help myself after running across this card. You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Azure Afternoon card stock for the largest layer.

A 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White was cut for the top layer.  I set these pieces aside.

Next I die cut a Basic White piece using the largest rectangle in the "Nested Essentials" die set. I laid the die on my card stock (sitting in my MISTY) and I stamped the birds on the upper area and I stamped the words on the lower part. Both are from the "Cutest Crew" bundle. They were stamped using black Memento ink.

Using that same die I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" package. It was the closes to the blue on the original card. I measured how much I needed on the left side of the stamped rectangle and cut it to fit. I taped it in place.

I colored the birds using Azure Afternoon Blends pens for the two outer birds. For the center bird I used dark Petal Pink overall and light Pumpkin Pie for the highlights.

The beaks were colored in using dark Daffodil Delight.

The grass was colored in using dark Soft Sea Foam.

The "HELLO" was colored over using the light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen.

I laid the rectangle on top of the Basic White piece to see where the cute little feet would go. They were stamped using Azure Afternoon ink.

Tape was added behind the large Basic White piece and it was taped to the Azure Afternoon piece and then that was taped to the card base.

Dimensionals were added behind rectangle and it was set in place on the front of the card with equal spacing on the top and sides.

I had some retired ribbon (light blue, no other name, just light - that's how old it is!), I tied a bow and glued it to the bottom left of the rectangle and the card was done.

I was going to texture the Basic White piece after I stamped the feet but I forgot.

This card was so quick and easy to make. I just love these birds and this card is just too darn cute!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Brushed With Beauty, Layers of Beauty, Anniversary Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an anniversary card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest and I changed it a little bit. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Very Vanilla card stock. I taped one on the inside of the card. The other I textured using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder.

I glued the textured piece to a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. That was then taped to the front of the card base.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used here is from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I used various dies from the "Spotlight on Nature" dies.

I laid the circles out the way they are on the original card. I glued the smallest one down first. Then the top left one next. The largest circle was added third and the small bottom left circle was added last. I glued all of them in place instead of tape because tape doesn't always stick well on textured paper.

The words are from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I cut them out using the second smallest die from the "Nested Essentials" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The cluster of flowers was fussy cut and set in place using tape on the two leaves that touch the rectangle and Dimensionals on the rest of the piece. It was set in place so that some of it lays on the rectangle. Plus I made it so it hid some of the gap between the two green circles.

I added a few retired Petal Pink "Foiled Gems" to the card and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. There was some fussy cutting but it went pretty fast. I did all of the die cut pieces at one time so that went quick too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,

Cutest Crew, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have one more card to share with you using the "Cutest Crew" bundle. I had the bird sitting on my worktable and I thought I should use it. But what do you do with such a tiny image. Well, I always head to my go-to card for small images. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive for the largest layer and taped it to the card base.

The Basic White layer was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".

For the top two layers I had to work with both of them at the same time. I cut my Petal Pink card stock at 3" x 4-1/8" and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package was cut at 2-7/8" x 4". I added a tiny bit of tape where I thought the circled would go. I lined up the DSP so the edges were equal on all sides. Then I took a 1-1/4" circle punch and punched out the circle (though both layers). Then I took the piece of DSP and added a piece of scrap copier paper behind it so it wouldn't get pinched or stick in my punch and I punched out a ring using a 1-3/8" circle punch. I taped the two layers together.

I cut a 2" x 2" piece of Basic White card stock and scrubbed on some Old Olive ink. I added Dimensionals around the back of the circle and set the piece on top. I cut a 4-1/2" piece of Old Olive (retired) ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the piece. It's about 7/8" up from the bottom of the circle layered piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and tape was added to the back of the 2" x 2" square and it was set in place on top of the 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" Basic White layer. Then this was taped to the card base.

Next I colored the bird using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends pens but I didn't think the dark one was dark enough so I used my light Pumpkin Pie pen to add some shadowing highlights.  I colored the grass with both light and dark Old Olive Blends.  I had fussy cut the bird and grass out. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place in the center of the circle.

The "hello" is from the "Simply Said" set and was stamped using black Memento ink and cut with a die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle. I set it in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

I just love this layout and I have used it a lot of times on my blog. So grab a tiny image and highlight it using this layout.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Cutest Crew, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a "Cutest Crew" card to share with you using the dogs. I had to be fair since I did the birds and cats so far. I found this card on Pinterest. I struggled with it because I'm not a dog person so figuring out colors for the dogs was more difficult for me than finding colors for cats or birds. You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how I made today's card,

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pecan Pie card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued this to the card base.

Next I cut the circle from the "Stylish Shapes" die set using the largetst one.

I stamped the words from the same "Cutest Crew" bundle using black Memento ink.  I glued this piece on top of the Pecan Pie layer.

The dogs were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. They were cut out using the matching die. I colored them in using Blends pens. I used Pecan pie for the brown dogs and light Gray Granite for the other two dogs. I used dark Azure Afternoon for one scarf and Poppy Parade for the other scarf. Two dogs have tags and I colored them using the light Pumpkin Pie pen. The flowers were colored  in using light Highland Heather and light Daffodil Delight. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I cut the paw prints using the die in the bundle on Poppy Parade card stock. I glued it across the bottom part of the circle. I cut out the butterflies at the same time.

The dogs were set in place next. Then I added the butterflies and the hearts.  The hearts came from the centers of the paw prints I cut out.

For a bit of a sparkle I added some Wink of Stella to the hearts and flowers and the card was done.

This was another fun card using the "Cutest Crew" bundle. My favorite is the birds and I hope to find time to make one more card using them before my order arrives.  Every time I mention that I'm waiting for my order to arrive I hear the Jeopardy theme son play in my head.  LOL

Cutest Crew, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. I found the cats on my worktable and I had cut one of the cats off of it for a prior card. So I thought I'd look for a card to use the 4 cats. I found this and worked with it, click here to see the original card. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Petunia Pop card stock for the largest layer. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the next layer and a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Bubble Bath card stock for the top layer.

I textured the top layer using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder.

Before taping the layers together I cut the butterflies from the center of the Petunia Pop piece.

After taping the layers together I taped them to the front of the card base.

I took my row of cats from the "Cutest Crew" bundle and colored them using my Blends pens. Going from left to right, I colored the first cat using light Petal Pink and added some stripes using light Pumpkin Pie.

The second and fourth cat were colored in using light Pecan Pie. And for the third cat I used light Smoky Slate, leaving the belly area uncolored.

I colored the butterflies using light Highland Heather, Melon Mambo (which should have been Petunia Pop but I picked up the wrong color) and the last butterfly is in light Bubble Bath.

The words are from the "Cutest Crew" bundle, stamped using black Memento ink and cut using the die from the "Spotlight on Nature" dies.

The Basic White strip was cut at 3-7/8" x 1-1/2".  I glued that strip to the front of the card about1" from the bottom of the Bubble Bath piece.

I added tape to the back of the word piece and let it in place about 1/2" up from the bottom edge of the Basic White strip.  I didn't press down because I thought I might need to move it.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the cats and they were set in place on the Basic White strip and was set in place on the bottom edge of the strip. I was happy where things were laying so I pressed down on the word piece.

I glued the butterflies in place and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I am having a lot of fun with the images I had stamped when I was at my friend's place. I have a few more and hope to use them before the new items arrive.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Layers of Beauty, Banner Sayings, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Melon Mambo for the largest layer.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the top layer. I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I taped it in place on top of the Melon Mambo piece.

The floral image is from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle. I had run across this on my worktable and it was already colored. What was I waiting for?  I fussy cut it out but should have pulled out the bundle because there's a die in it to cut all of this out.  Oh well, it is what it is!

The flowers were colored in using Blends pens. I had used Petal Pink light for the flowers. Then I used both light and dark Melon Mambo for the details. The leaves were colored in with light and dark Old Olive.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle.  I taped it on top of a 7/8" x 2-5/8" piece of Melon Mambo and trimmed the ends to match the word piece.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the floral piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The words were taped in place next and the card was done.

I thought about adding some embellishments but I am going to be mailing this so I didn't want to have to spend any extra in postage.

It's always fun to run across something that is done being colored (though I am still wondering why I abandoned it), it makes putting a card together quick and easy!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Cutest Crew, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. I just can't seem to get enough of these cute little birds from the "Cutest Crew" bundle. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Melon Mambo card stock for the largest layer.

The Petal Pink layer on top of the Melon Mambo measures 4" x 5-1/4".

A 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White was taped on top of the Petal Pink. I normally don't put the layers together before I do my stamping but for today I'm making the exception.  Normally I would take the Basic White piece and partially decorate it to the point to where I know the words would be going but I just went ahead and assembled as I went.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" package I had bought around Valentine's Day. I don't normally buy Valentine's Day sets or papers because they are only good for one day. It's not like it's a season or leading up to a season. Kind of like the 4th of July too. I refrain from buying sets in that genre too.  Anyway, I had broke down and bought this stack thinking I'd use a lot of the pieces and I did but there's a lot of pieces in the package to begin with. Anyway, I had cut that piece to measure 2-1/2" x 3-7/8".  I taped it to the bottom of the Basic White piece.

I cut a 3/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Melon Mambo for the strip. I taped that in place on top of the DSP

I had stamped the birds several days ago (could be weeks by now) using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. They were cut out using the matching die. I colored them using my light and dark Blends pens. The one on the left is Petal Pink. The one in the middle is Bubble Bath and the one on the end is Melon Mambo. The beaks were colored in using dark Daffodil Delight and I colored the grass in using my Garden Green ink pad and a Blending pen since there is no Garden Green Blends pen. Dimensionals were added and I laid the piece on top but didn't remove the backing from the Dimensionals.

The words were added next. They are from the same "Cutest Crew" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Then I set the birds in place.

I die cut the little butterflies using a scrap piece of Melon Mambo card stock and glued them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a super fun, quick and easy card to make. I am just loving those cute little birds.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Impressions Abloom, Lovely & Beautiful, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 3" x 5-1/4"piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to a 3-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock and that was taped to the front of the card.

A gold foil hexagon piece was punched for the flower.

The flower is from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I sponged on some Petal Pink ink and then a little Calypso Coral ink.

I used the flower center image on Petal Pink card stock using Petal Pink ink. I scrubbed on a little Calypso Coral ink and then I fussy cut it out. I glued it to the center of the flower.

Two leaves were die cut using Old Olive card stock.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flower and it was set in place on the gold foil piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the foiled piece and it was set aside.

The words are from the "Fabulous Sayings" set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink.

The foiled piece was set in place just above the "y" in happy.

A brass butterfly was added to the front and the card was done.

This was such a super easy and quick card to make.

I placed my Stampin' Up! order from the new catalog today and now comes the waiting game. LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Banner Sayings, Lovely & Beautiful, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun sketch I found on Pinterest to share with you. You can see the original card by clicking here. Once there you can click on the "visit site" and there is a sketch for you to print out. I printed one out so I can use this layout again in the future. It was nice to have all the measurements done for me. I'm so used to doing the measuring and cutting that this was actually a treat. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Across the top the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 2-5/8" and 1-1/2" x 1-1/4". On the next row the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" and across the bottom area the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" and 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" times two on the last one.

My Designer Series Paper is from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package.

I always find putting the pieces in place the most difficult. But I managed to get them on so they look even.  I think this was the part of the card that was the most time consuming.

Once the pieces were in place I needed to do the wording. I need a thank you card so I looked through my sets to find one that I liked and that was a good size for the space it needed to go in. The thank you here came from the "Banner Sayings" and as luck would have it, the bundle has a die that fit with these words perfectly. I had stamped them using Calypso Coral ink.

After cutting the words out I cut a 1/2" x 3" piece of Calypso Coral card stock strip to go behind the words. I snipped the ends at an angle and taped it to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some retired enamel dots and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done. Now to get it ready to go out in the mail!

This is a fun sketch and I do plan to use it again in the near future. It's a perfect way to get rid of those scraps of DSP you have laying around.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

Brushed With Beauty, Petals of Beauty, The Right Words, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. It's a pretty quick and easy card to put together. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Very Vanilla card stock for the large layer.

Two strips of DSP were added to the Very Vanilla piece. They measure 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" and the other measures 3-1/2" x 1". I taped them in place about 1/2" from the top and two sides of the piece.

I cut a 3/8" x 3-7/8" strip of DSP that matched the large background piece and taped it over the strips about 2" up from the bottom.

Next I stamped the words. They are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

The piece was then taped to the front of the card.

I stamped the flowers next from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle. I used Petal Pink for the base of the flowers and Calypso Coral for the outline. Daffodil Delight was colored in the center using a Blends pen. I cut them out using the matching dies.

I also cut the leaves from the same dies using Mossy Meadow card stock.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the large flower. I pressed the smaller flower to the larger flower so a Dimensional would hold it in place. I did the same for the leaves. Tape was added to the back of the leaves and the smaller flower and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I didn't add any bling because it is going in the mail and I didn't want to spend any extra on postage. Postage is getting SO expensive so I have to cut corners where I can.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

Lovely Blossoms, Everyday Arches, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

The floral image is also from the same package of DSP. I cut it from a sheet that has various images on it. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set on the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The "hello" is from the "Everyday Arches" bundle. The stamp set is retired but the dies are, at the moment, still current. I stamped them using Secret Sea ink on Basic White card stock. I fussy cut them out. Dimensionals were added to the back and I set them in place on the front of the card. That was the part of the card that took the longest. It's nice when everything else is pretty much done for you.

For a final touch I added a couple of retired black sequins I had left in my stash. I finally used them up! Yay and shocker at the same time! LOL

I didn't have a lot of time today to make a card but I'm glad I ran across this package of DSP and saw this flower image. It made a quick and easy card and allowed me to have more time today to get a few things done that I needed to do.

Edited: I didn't notice it until now but the red line on the card is from when I was adding my name to the bottom right. I must have touched the red pencil on the editing program. But it's really not on the card. I need to pay better attention to the pics before I post. Sorry.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Brushed With Beauty, Everyday Arches, All in a Row, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

Next I worked on the triangles. I cut them from a piece of DSP from the same package. It measured 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and I cut it along the diagonal. I taped them to a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and then that was taped to a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Calypso Coral. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I cut a 5/8" x 5" piece of Basic White and textured it using the "All in a Row" embossing folder. I glued it in the center of the card.

The square piece was centered on the card next.

I ran across the "hello" on my worktable and I thought I'd use it. It's from the "Everyday Arches" bundle and it had been stamped using black Memento ink. I do not remember the die that was used to cut it out. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the square and the card was done. Though I think the large DSP background could use something. I may add some sequins or I may just leave it as it is.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
