Sunset Coast, Sunrise Sailing, Words & Wishes, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the top layer. I set the sail boat die from the "Sunset Coast" die set a bit off center and towards the upper part of the card. I wanted to have room for the words.

After cutting the ship circle out, I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Scenic Coast" 6" x 6" Specialty stack. It's specialty because the water has shimmers on it. It doesn't show in the pic but it's there and it's pretty.

I added tape to the back of the Night of Navy piece and some glue to the sailboat and set it in place on top of the DSP. I didn't cut my DSP enough so I had to trim some of it so it wouldn't show.

I thought the piece looked a bit blah so I stamped some seagulls from the retired "Sunrise Sailing" bundle using Night of Navy ink.

There was a large gull leftover from the ones I cut yesterday so I glued that in place on the upper left.

The words are from the "Garden Gathering" bundle and were stamped using Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the fancy die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set. I thought the dies were SO pretty. I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was another quick and easy card to make. My stash of masculine cards is pretty thin so I will be replenishing that with a few more of these cards later. I have some other fun sets to play with first before I repeat a set too many times.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
