Charming Day, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petunia Pink card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

A 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Basic Beige card stock was cut for the largest layer.  On top of that layer is a piece of Petunia Pop card stock that was textured using the "Damask Design" embossing folder and then trimmed to measure 4" x 5-1/4".

Using the 4th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set, I cut it from the center of the largest layer of Basic Beige card stock. Once cut I glued the textured Petunia Pop piece to it and then taped that to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package and was cut using the 5th largest arched die. Then it was taped to the Basic Beige arched piece.

The flower was cut next. It's from the "Charming Day" bundle. I cut one of Mossy Meadow card stock and one of Petunia Pop card stock. I trimmed the bottom part of the Petunia Pop piece so it looked like it's sitting on the stem. I also cut a Mossy Meadow branch image.

I colored the leaves using Crumb Cake ink and my Blending brush. For the flower I used Petunia Pop ink and my Blending brush. I had taken a scrap piece of copier paper and slipped it under the slits on the flower and only bushed on ink in those places. It took a few minutes to do but it was worth it, it gave it a more detailed look.

I glued the Petunia Pop flower over the Mossy Meadow flower. Then I glued the branch to the bottom of the flower stem. I turned it over and added little dots of glue where the leaves touched the stem in other spots.

The words are from the same set and were stamped using Petunia Pop ink on Basic White card stock and then fussy cut. I added Dimensionals behind it and set it aside.

I set the arched pieces in place using Dimensionals. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I tied a large linen thread bow and using a small glue dot I stuck it to the back of the flower at an angel. I added glue to the flower and tiny dots to some of the leaves and stems and set the flower in place. The words were added using Dimensionals. And the card was done.

I'm not thrilled the way the bow ended up, I should have looked at it more before I stuck it down. It bothered me so much that I was able to gently peel back the flower and remove the bow. I reshaped the bow because I distorted it when I removed it and I placed it back under the flower so the bows looked more even on each side. YAY for being able to fix it!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Spooky Halloween, Halloween Sweets, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm going to share with you another Halloween card I made using the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP). Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

The gray DSP was cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and taped to the front of the card.

A piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock was cut at 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" and on top of that is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of my favorite DSP from the "Spooky Sweet" package.

I cut a frame using two dies from the "Nested Essentials" die set on Basic Black card stock.

The pumpkins and crow image are from the same package of DSP.

Using the smaller of the two rectangle dies I cut an opening in the upper part of the candied piece of DSP. The black frame was glued in place around the opening.

I took a piece of DSP and glued it to the back of the frame opening.

Then the piece was taped to the Pumpkin Pie layer and that was taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out to measure 1-1/8' x 2-3/8". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I set the pumpkins and crow piece in place using Dimensionals and set it in place in the rectangle opening.

I thought the words could use something so I popped out a couple of candy corns and glued them to the word piece and the card was done.

This was another fun, quick and easy Halloween card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Halloween card to share with you.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

The Basic Black layer was cut at 4-3/4" x 3-1/2". On top of that I taped the three strips of DSP and the larger panel at the bottom. The strips measure 2-1/2" x 1" each and the bottom panel measures 2" x 3-1/4". I taped those pieces in place.

I used the third circle in the "Stylish Shapes" dies on a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock.

The cute character is from the DSP and it just pops out from a sheet of fun images. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the black circle.

The words were stamped next and they are from the "Spooky Halloween " bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Tape was added to the black circle and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was another quick and easy Halloween card to make. I am really loving that cute DSP on the top part of this card!

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweets, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I tapped on the raised parts with my white stamp pad. I did heat set it to dry because I'm impatient. I glued it to the front of the card.

The next layer is a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On top of that is a 3" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the Pumpkin Pie piece. I also added to strips of the DSP that measure 3" x 3/4". I taped them about 1-1/4" from the top of the gray DSP and 1-1/4" from the bottom of the gray DSP.

The Basic Black layer was cut at 2" x 3-7/8". The orange image with the skull is one of the tag pieces from the same package of DSP. I taped it to the Basic Black piece. Dimensionals were added behind that piece and it was set in place on the center of the card. I just eyed it. If you just lightly set it on top you can move it around a lot easier than if you pressed down on it.

The cauldron is from the same package of DSP and was set in place using Dimensionals.

I stamped the "Happy Halloween" from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle on the inside using black Memento ink and the card was done.

This was such a fun and quick card to make, even with all of those layers and pieces.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

Next I cut one of the panels from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12"package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I taped it to the front of the card. This package has a lot of fun elements to it. There's two sheets of fun door to door scenery plus a few other images. And there's two sheets of punch out images. Plus other sheets of Halloween fun! It's a great pack filled with lots of fun!

The hippo mummy is from the punch out images. Well, not exactly punch out, they are pre-cut and you just push them through the sheet and they pop out. How simple and fun is that? I added Dimensionals behind it and set it in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I trimmed it to 2-3/8" x 1-1/16".  Then I layered with a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that measured 2-5/8" x 1-3/16".  After taping the layers together, I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the upper left corner of the card. It's about 1/2" from the top edge and 3/8" from the fold.

There are several bats to pop out on that same fun sheet. I added a Dimensional to the right side of the wing and tape to the other side and set it in place.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. And there's more images on that sheet to have fun with.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Charming Day, Simply Said, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card to share with you using the "Charming Day" bundle. Please read on to see how it was made. I saw this card on Pinterest and I made a few little changes to it. You can see the original card by clicking here

Since we are in September, I thought I'd use more fall colors with this set, so I chose Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadow.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut the Basic White card stock at 3-3/4" x 5".  I stamped the double flower image on the left side twice. Then I stamped the single flower on a sperate piece of card stock using black Memento ink. I die cut the smaller flower from the "Charming Day" bundle.

I colored the flowers using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pen. The leaves were colored in using both light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen. The center of the single flower was colored in using the light Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock was cut for the layer. I taped the Basic White piece to the Pumpkin Pie piece and then taped that to the front of the card base.

The single flower was added using Dimensionals.

A few colored pearls were added and the card was done.

You can't go wrong coloring with Blends. They make you look like you know how to color! LOL I just kind of scribble the colors on, go around the centers with the darker color and go back with the lighter color to blend in the darker one. It's fun and easy.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

The Right Words, Charming Day, Elements of Text, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that has been on my bucket list for quite some time now. Today I was actually able to find time to sit down and work on it. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 5-3/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Crumb Cake card stock for the top layer. I taped it in place on the front of the card.

Next I cut a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Crumb Cake for the top layer. I stamped the word circle from the "Elements of Text" set. I stamped off once using Crumb Cake ink. Then I used the splatter stamp in the same set but I stamped off two times because only once was a bit too dark. Using my blending brush I brushed the edges with Early Espresso ink.

I die cut the leaves from the "Charming Day" bundle. There's a long set and a small cluster. I cut two of each. Then using the blending brush with the Early Espresso ink I brushed it over all the die cut pieces.

The floral image is from the same bundle and was stamped using Early Espresso ink. I colored the leaves with both light and dark Crumb Cake Blends and the flowers with both light and dark Petal Pink Blends. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I added some tape to the area that the flowers would be covering so I could stick the leaves in place. I took the floral piece and hovered over the area and set the leaves in place. Once the leaves were in place I trimmed a little bit of the stems because they seemed to be piled up in the center. Then I stamped the words. They are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink. The piece was then taped to the front of the card.

The floral piece was added next and I stuck on some retired Polished Glass pieces and the card was finished.

The original card had the top piece set in place with Dimensionals but I thought it would be too thick to mail so I just popped up the flowers only. Either way it's a pretty card. See why I just had to make one?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Charming Day, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. I cut that piece in half on the diagonal. I glued that to the upper left and lower right corners about 1/8" from the edge of the embossed piece.

I also cut a 3" x 4" piece of DSP for the large panel. A 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Timid Tiger card stock was cut for the layer. I taped the two pieces together and then taped that to the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. The "Labeled with Love" die was used to cut them out. I also cut a Timid Tiger label too. I cut that in half and taped each half to the top and bottom edge of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back.

The flower is from the "Charming Day" bundle and was cut using a scrap piece of Timid Tiger. I didn't buy the Blends pens so I just took my light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen and colored over the cut lines to give it some depth.

I lightly set the word piece in place. A little glue was added behind the flower on the larger solid parts and it was slipped under the word piece and set in place. I pressed down on the word piece to secure it.

A little brass butterfly was added to the word piece and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. It uses up some scrap pieces of DSP too!

The Right Words, Painterly Pears, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest and you can see it by clicking here.  Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

Using the "Everyday Arches" dies I cut the two pieces. The Night of Navy piece was cut using the third largest die. And using the 4th largest die I cut the Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I taped the two pieces together, leaving about 1/2" distance between the left edge of the DSP and the left edge of the Night of Navy piece.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped on a 5/8" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock using Night of Navy ink.  I snipped the ends at an angle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1-5/8" from the bottom edge of the card base.

I tied a double bow using some linen thread and glued the knot to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a super easy card to make. I wanted to make it because of the DSP. It's from the sheet that I found the most difficult to work with.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Painterly Pears, The Right Words, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty card to share with you that I found here at Clair Daly's site. I LOVE following her blog. She's a great stamper plus she's from Australia and I LOVE listing to her accent!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.

A 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Basic Black card stock was cut for the largest layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. This piece of DSP in particular was what drew me to the card in my hunt for one using that exact paper. I find it difficult to work with and was thrilled to find such a lovely card using it. I taped this to the Basic Black piece and then that was taped to the card base.

Next I textured a piece of Basic Black card stock using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I tapped my Whisper White ink pad across it so the ink touched the raised parts. I heat set it because this ink takes a while to dry. I should have remembered that and I had remembered I would have made this piece first. Once dry I trimmed it to 2" x 5-1/4" and I glued it to the front of the card about 5/8" from the fold.

The pears on the original card were stamped. I didn't purchase the stamp set but I did buy the DSP. I fussy cut two pears and two pear stems with leaves. I glued the stems to the top are of the pears. Dimensionals were added to the back of the left pair and it was set in place on the front of the card. Dimensionals were also added to the right pear but not on the area that sits on top of the first pear.

I tied a double bow using some linen thread and I set it aside.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using versa mark on Basic Black card stock and then sprinkled with white embossing powder. I heat set the powder. I trimmed the piece to measure 3/8" x 2-1/4". Dimensionals were added to the back.

I added a dot of glue on the knot of the bow and set it in place on the pear. Then I added the word piece and the card was done.

Isn't it pretty? Can you see why I just had to make it? I kind of want to just keep it and not use it! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Painterly Pears, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed it just a little. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and tape it to the inside.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used here is from the "Painterly Pairs" 12" x 12" package. I cut the large piece at 4" x 5-1/4" and I taped it to the front of the card base.

The next largest piece of DSP (the white with the little yellow flowers) was cut at 3-7/8" x 3-7/8".  The Mossy Meadow layer behind it was cut at  4" x 3". I didn't pay attention to how it was taped to the front of the card so I had to trim off the Mossy Meadow layer on the left side. If you don't want to do any trimming then cut your card stock at 4" x 15/16".  I just found it easier to trim it off. After trimming I taped it to the left side of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The pear imaged piece was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and was taped to a 2-7/8" x 2-13/16" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. Again here I just cut my piece at 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" and I trimmed off the Mossy Meadow edge on the right side. Then I taped it to the right side and centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I stamped the words from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card stock. They were punched out using the "Labeled with Love" punch. I also punched another piece using Mossy Meadow card stock. I cut that piece down the middle and taped each piece to the back of the word piece at the top and bottom to give the illusion of a duplicate layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. It's centered in the middle but is off to the left.

I tied a white bow using some retired ribbon. I glued it to the word piece and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I LOVE all the layers. I enjoyed using several pieces of DSP on one card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Simply Said, Beautiful Gallery, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock. On top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. The DSP measures 3-3/4" x 5".  I cut the strips to measure 1-1/4" each. I cut mine by cutting the piece in half and then cutting those pieces in half. It just worked easier for me than cutting the strips one after the other.

The strips were taped on the Petal Pink piece leaving a 1/16" space between them. I taped the top and bottom strips on first and then the center two. This way you can make sure you get better spacing. Once taped in place I taped the whole piece on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped them on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock and punched them out using the "Labeled With Love" punch. I also punched out a Petal Pink one for the layer. I cut that piece in half and taped each half to the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make and I like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Charming Day, Floral Charm, Labeled With Love, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer. I textured it using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I cut a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White for the focal layer.

I textured a piece of Basic White card stock using the "Damask Design" embossing folder and I cut it a 4" x 1 and 1/2" x 4".

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package and I cut the piece to measure 7/8" x 4".  I glued the textured pieces in place on the 3" x 4" piece and then the orange piece of DSP was added last. This way you can get the spacing better. I could have moved my textured pieces inward a bit but it still looks nice the way it is.

The flower is from the "Charming Day" bundle. I stamped it using black Memento ink and cut it using the coordinating die.  I colored the piece using my Blends pens. I used both light and dark Mossy Meadow and Pumpkin Pie and the center was colored with the dark Daffodil Delight pen.

I cut a 3/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Timid Tiger card stock for the small strip.

The words are from the "Labeled With Love" (retired) set. I didn't have current birthday wording that was small enough for the area I wanted it in. I punched the words out using the 1-3/4" circle punch. I made sure the words were as far up and to the right as I could go without cutting them off.

I added tape to the back of the strip but I didn't press down on it after setting it on top of the larger strips. It's about 1-1/4" up from the bottom edge of the 3" x 4" piece. I set the word piece on top to see how much of the bottom part of the circle I would need to trim off. After trimming it off I added tape to the back and slipped it under the strip. I pressed down on both the circle and the strip.

Glue was added to the flower and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the 3" x 4" piece and it was set on the front of the card centering it as much as I could by eying it.  And the card was done.

I thought about adding some bling to the card but I decided I liked the clean look to it.

This was a fun card to make and anytime I can color with Blends I'm happy!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Charming Day, Floral Charm, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Timid Tiger card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I stamped the leaves on the front using Cloud Cover ink and the image from the "Charming Day" bundle.

The circles from the "Stylish Shapes" set were cut next. I cut the Mossy Meadow ones using the first three circle dies. I used the second third and fourth for the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that is from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. Two were cut from the orange sheet and on the backside the circle on the right was cut.

Two branches were cut from Mossy Meadow card stock and were set aside.

The focal image was stamped using black Memento ink. I colored it in using my light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends pens and I used the Timid Tiger ink pad and a Blending pen to color in the flowers. I didn't buy the Blends in the in-colors so I just use my Blending pen and make do. Once the coloring was done I cut the piece out using the matching die.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. I chose this image because it was the last stamp in the set that I have not used yet. It's the first time in a long time that I've actually used every image in a set! I cut them out using the die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.

To assemble the card I first taped the circles together and then taped them to the front of the card.

The branches were cut off at the bottom and a little glue was added to the parts that will be hidden under the floral image. Once those were glued down the focal image was set in place using Dimensionals.

The words were set in place using Dimensionals and for a final touch I added some (retired) candy dots to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I have always liked circles on cards, it keeps your eyes moving around the card instead of being fixed at one spot.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

Spooky Halloween, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut for the front of the card. It's from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

The character, words and bats are from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I stamped the words and character using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I colored the face using the SU800 Blends pen. The shirt and socks were colored in using the dark Lemon Lime Twist Blends pen. Light Pumpkin Pie was used for the pants and socks and part of the sleeves. The sucker was colored in using light Daffodil Delight and I added some light Pumpkin Pie dots to it.  The pumpkin was colored in using the dark Pumpkin Pie pen.

I die cut the character and pumpkin using the matching dies. The bats were cut from a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock.

I fussy cut around the words and then taped them to a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock. I fussy cut around that.

Dimensionals were added to the pieces and they were set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I'm SO ready for the fall colors, though I still want to make more flowered cards.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,

Florals in Bloom, Simply Said, Note Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a note card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Summer Splash card stock. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and was textured using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued that to the Summer Splash piece. And then that was taped to the card base.

The focal pieces were cut using Summer Splash card stock, it measured 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Florals in Bloom" and it was cut at 3-1/4" x 2-1/4". I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and set in place on the front of the card. It's about 1/2" from the left edge and about 3/8" from the top and bottom of the card base.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and was stamped using Summer Splash ink. I cut it out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set.

A piece of Peach Pie was used for the layer behind the word piece. I cut it out using the 1-7/8" circle from the retired "Layering Circles" die set. I taped the two circles together and set them in place using Dimensionals on the right side and tape on the left side.

I had a dragonfly sitting on my worktable and glued it to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make and it was a fun layout.

Simply Said, Florals in Bloom, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Cloud Clover card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Florals in Bloom" 12" x 12" package. I taped the DSP to the Cloud Clover and then that was taped to the front of the card base.

The top two smaller layers were made next. The Cloud Clover piece was cut at 3" x 4-1/8" and the DSP is from the same package and was cut at 2-7/8" x 4". I taped the piece in the upper center using removable tape. Taking my old 1-1/4" circle punch and dropped it down to the bottom, I centered it on each side and punched it out. I'm using the old black whale punches. If you use a die you can measure to get it centered.

I took the punched piece of DSP and set a scrap piece of copier paper and set it behind it. Using the 1-3/8" circle punch and I punched out a ring. This makes the DSP wider so the card stock shows the layer. I taped the two layers together. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

A 2" x 2" piece of Basic White card stock and I glued the leafy stem piece down. I fussy the flower and set in place using a Dimensional. Taking the layered piece, I hovered over the flower and stem and got it to appear centered in the window and I pressed down on the piece. Then I added a little tape to the back of the 2" x 2" piece and then set on top of the card base.

The words come from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Basic White card stock with black Memento ink. I cut it out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

I had fussy cut three little pink flowers and glued them to the front of the card. I added a little pearl to the center of the flowers and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I was happy that I was able to use a busy piece of DSP and make it work.

Simply Said, Florals in Bloom, Glass Garden, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a  4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Florals in Bloom" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Darling Duckling card stock and set it aside.

The strips of DSP are from the same package and were cut at 1" x 2-1/2". And the bottom piece is a piece of Timid Tiger card stock and was cut at 2" x 3-1/4".  I textured it using the flowered folder from the "Glass Garden" embossing folder set.

What I did was I had taped the strips on first but it's better to glue the bottom piece on first. Once the bottom was glued on then I taped the strips in place. The distance between the strips and the Timid Tiger piece was pretty narrow but I was able to hide it with the word piece and the ribbon.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I punched them out using the "Heartfelt Hexagon" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I took some white ribbon (retired), tied a bow and glued it to the side of the word piece.

A few crystal rhinestones were added to the front and the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make. I'm still not sure if I like the largest layer, I think it's a bit too busy.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Impressions Abloom, Simply Said, Note Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a note card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I cut the flowers from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle using Melon Mambo card stock. For the centers I had cut them from Basic White card stock and then colored them using the light Lemon Lolly over the whole thing and then tapped on dark Lemon Lolly. It shows up better in person.

The leaves were cut using a piece of Old Olive card stock.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Old Olive ink. I cut them out using the second largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I glued the circle in place about 3/8" from the right side and 1" from the bottom.

Three Dimensionals were added to the largest flower. I lightly set it on top of the card near the edge of the circle.

Glue was added to the center of the other two flowers and they were set in place, slightly tucked under the large flower.

The leaves were cut from the stem of leaved I had die cut. Glue was added to the ends and they were slipped under the larger flower. Then the large flower was pressed in place.

I added Wink of Stella to the center of each flower and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I let the flowers speak for themselves here.

Peaceful Pier, Painterly Pears, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I found a card on Pinterest that used this particular piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock for the layer. On top of that layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of DSP from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I found this particular design difficult to work with and it's fantastic when I run across a card that used it.  I taped the DSP to the Petal Pink piece and then taped that to the front of the card base. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.

I fussy cut the pear, stem with leaves and flowers from other pieces of DSP in the package.

Using the third smallest arched die I cut a piece from Basic Black card stock.

I taped the pear to the black arch. Then the stem with leaves were added. The little flowers were glued in place just under the stem. And the flower on the left side was slid under the pear.

The piece was then taped to the the front of the card.

The words are from the "Peaceful Pier" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I trimmed it to measure 3/8" x 2-5/8".  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

A few tiny pearls were added to the flowers on the pear and three were added to the DSP. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I was thrilled to have been able to use that particular sheet of DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
