Wishing a Friend a Happy Anniversary!

A friend of mine is celebrating her wedding anniversary today and guess what? Her card was just made tonight. It's going to be late. I don't think I've gotten too many cards out in the mail on time this year. I was SO horrible about that last year and I was hoping that bad habit would have gotten left behind but it spewed into the new year. *sighs* But there is still hope!! This was a quick and easy card to make. I took a piece of white card stock and cut it 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". I folded it in half. On top I affixed a piece of Rose Red card stock cut 5-1/2" x 4". On top of that is a piece of brushed silver card stock that was embossed with a Cuddlebug embossing folder. I used the retired Stampin' Up! set "All Year Cheer III." I couldn't find a current set with a larger "Happy Anniversary." I was going to use my computer to do the words but I really wanted the words embossed. I layered that on top of a piece of Rose Red cut 1/8" larger. Before I affixed the brushed silver piece I tied an organza ribbon around it and tied a bow on.
This is a very simple and quick card to make. I should make up a few of them to have on hand. I have a HUGE "should" list!!

Don't forget to enter the Blog Candy drawing.
Thank you SO much for stopping by,
Wanda

You say this is a simple card - I say it's simply beautiful! The colors are great and the ribbon is a perfect choice. Gotta love The 'Bug! And it's never too late to send a card. - Susan :-)

Beautiful! On first look, I thought the background WAS embossed; I never would have thought to emboss with metallic paper to give it this look! You are so creative! As always, thanks for sharing with us.
