Under My Umbrella, Friendship Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I found this fun card on Pinterest and thought I would see if I could make it. The original card can be found here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock.

There is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue on top of the card base.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I did not tape this to the Balmy Blue yet.  I added the strip from the "Pleased as Punch" 12"x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  That piece measured 1-1/2" x 5-1/8".  I taped it to the left side about 1/2" from the edge.

I die cut the raindrop piece from the DSP.  The circle measures 2-5/8".  I die cut a scalloped circle that is just a little larger than the circle and I used Blushing Bride card stock.

I die cut the umbrella from the same DSP pack.  I punched it out using the matching umbrella punch.  I also punched out the handle.  I usually stamp them but there was one available so I punched it out. I glued the handle to the backside of the umbrella and I set it aside to set up and dry.

I stamped the words from the "Under My Umbrella" set using black Memento ink.

I stamped the flower and the boots and fussy cut them out.  I colored the boots and flowers using Blends pens.  I used the light and dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen for the boots and two of the flowers.  I used light Flirty Flamingo for the flower hiding in the center. I used light Pool Party for two of the flowers.  I colored the leaves using the light Granny Apple Green.  I glued the flower to the boots. I set the boots in place using Dimensionals.  Then I added the umbrella.

I added a little snail tape to the center of the card so I could get the gold cord to stick to it. I wrapped four loops and stuck them to the tape.  I set the circle in place.

I didn't have the heart that was used in the original card so I used what I had. I stamped it from the center of the scalloped circle. I set it in place using a Dimensional.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White piece to the inside and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I love the looks of it and the colors.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
