Band Together, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Today I thought I would play with the "Band Together" set again. My new stuff is supposed to arrive today and I was going to wait until the order came to play with something new but then I realized they might not come until as late as 8 pm, so I thought I would just make a card now and make something new tomorrow.  Besides, I need to clean off one of my worktables so I have a space to set out all the new stuff before I put it where it's going to live for the next year or so.

So onto today's card.  I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Granny Apple Green card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

On top of the Granny Apple Green card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade.  This piece had a huge piece missing from the center.  I actually saved the piece for a future card!  I taped it to the card base.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  I taped it to the Poppy Parade piece.

I stamped the flowers from the "Band Together" set using black Memento ink.  I fussy cut both pieces. There is a die for the larger flower but I was in a fussy cutting mood and I just cut it out.  I also stamped two leaves and fussy cut them out too.  I colored the flower using both light and dark Poppy Parade Blends pens.  The center of the larger flower was colored using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends Pens.  I added some dots using the light "Poppy Parade" Blends pen.

I colored the leaves using both light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens.

I die cut the words label piece using Granny Apple Green card stock.

The words are from the "Band Together" set and they were stamped on Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I die cut them with the same die cut that was used on the Granny Apple Green piece.

I taped the tabs of the word piece in place on top of the textured Whisper White piece.  I did trim the tabs on the sides of the word label piece.  I added the words to the center using snail tape.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals.  Then I taped the leaves under them.

I added some sequins to the front of the card for a little bit of bling.

I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card using snail tape.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make.  I really do need to play with this set more.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
