Little Ladybug, Itty Bitty Greetings, Thank You Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

I wanted to play with the "Little Ladybug" 2020 Sale-a-Brations set and as I was looking on the Internet, I found this fun card.  I made a minor change. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "From My Heart" 12" x 12" pack.  It was one of my least favorite designs and I was glad I found a card that used it.  I won't feel like I would be stuck with it later.

The link I provided did not mention sizes when she was putting the card together, so I just guessed at it. So I cut my Real Red piece at 4-1/4" x 3" and I cut the Whisper White piece 4" x 2-3/4".

I stamped the flower from the "Little Ladybug" set using Real Red ink.  I did make a mask so I could place it over the center flower and stamp the upper flower and not have it overlap.  I only stamped three flowers.

I taped the two layers together and added Dimensionals to the back. Before I set it in place on the card, I cut a 4" x 1/2" strip of Basic Black card stock and taped it 1-1/2" from the bottom of the card.

I took a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped this cute ladybug.  I colored her with Blends Pens. Real Red for the back. Petal Pink for the face and belly.  Smoky Slate light for the side and limbs.  And Daffodil Delight for the flower.  I then die cut her using the second smallest "Stitched Circle" die.  Then I die cut a Basic Black scalloped circle for the layer.  I taped those two together and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set.  I stamped them on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch.  I also punched out a Basic Black piece.  I trimmed the ends of the Whisper White piece using a post it note to hold it and it went back in the punch to do the trimming.  I taped the word piece to the Basic Black piece and then I set that piece in place on the front of the card.  And that was it.

I thought this was a pretty easy card to make. I did have to fussy cut the flower but that's okay, I now have a mask for future cards.  Oh and I just saw today that there are die cuts now out for this set and a few of the other new ones.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
