Bonanza Buddies, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up! 2020 Spring Catalog

I found today's card on Pinterest.  I thought it was such a cute card and I love the colors VERY much! I just can't seem to get enough of this "Bonanza Buddies" stamp set. And of course I bought the bundle so I could have the dies to go along with it.  I've gotten to where I just hate to fussy cut anything anymore so the dies are a must!  Plus they save a LOT of time.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock.  On top of that I had cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I taped a 2-1/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay to the top and a 2-1/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Birthday Bonanza" 12" x 12" package.

I took a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon that I had and I taped the ends to the back of the Whisper White piece.  Then I taped that to the card base.

Next I die cut the hexagons from the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies.  I used the second largest one for the Poppy Parade piece and the third largest one for the Whisper White piece.  After assembling I realized that I should have used the first largest one for the Poppy Parade piece and the second largest one for the Whisper White piece.  But it still worked out fine.

I stamped the Koala bear from the "Bonanza Buddies" using Smoky Slate ink.  The words were stamped using Bermuda Bay ink.  I stamped the hat separate using Daffodil delight.  I die cut it with the matching hat die.

I taped the hexagons together and then I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I added a Dimensional to the hat and set it in place on the Koala's head.  I added a Bermuda Bay pompom to the tip of the hat.

I forgot to add a piece of ribbon to the left side and tie it in a know. I may do that later but I think it looks good without it too.  I also forgot to add the balloon. Now you are going to have to go look at the original card to see the ribbon and the balloon!  I will probably add the balloon after I'm done posting this. And maybe not. I think it looks fine without it too!

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I was happy to find a card that used the ice cream cones.  That was a busy background and I wasn't sure how I was going to use it.  I had used a small piece of it on a different card.  I don't think it can be used any bigger than this or it will overtake the card.  Anyway, I like the card and I can see myself making more.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
