Bonanza Buddies, Children's Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I found this adorable card on Pinterest.  I thought it was so cute and I'm SO loving this "Bonanza Buddies" set/bundle.  I love it when I don't even have to stamp the characters. This one was printed on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) so you can use the matching die cut to just simply cut it out and it's good to go!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  And the top layer was cut at 3-3/4" x 5".

The ribbon tipped DSP pieces were cut at 4-1/2" x 2" for the Bermuda Bay piece and 1-1/2" x 4" for the yellow one.  This measurement is before they are punched with the "Triple Banner" punch.  I taped them in place on the top Whisper White piece.

I took some Bermuda Bay ribbon that I had and put it around the front of the card and taped the ends on the back.  Then I slipped a piece of ribbon under the ribbon and tied a knot. I like adding this type of knot because I can slide it and place it anywhere I want even after I tied it.

Next I die cut the second smallest "Stitched Circle" die using Whisper White card stock.  On that same piece of card stock, I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" set using black Memento ink.  I used the third smallest "Stitched Nested Labels" die to cut the words out.  I cut both the circle and words out at the same time.

I punched out the Crushed Curry leaves from the "Spring" punch.  This is such a fun punch and I don't use it enough.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the circle and then I taped the end of the spring to the back of the circle. I wanted it to be popped up but without the Dimensional being on top of it.  I did set a Dimensional just right so it helped stick the spring in place too. I removed the protective backing and set the circle in place.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the bird and I set it in place over the ribbon.

The words were added using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love the colors and especially the layout.  I try to use some of the DSP sheets sparingly because I like them so. But they will be retiring at the end of March and I will be sad if I don't make a better effort to use them up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
