Darling Details, Perennial Lavender, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I got an email today with a notice telling me that my Stampin' Up! order is expected to be delivered on Friday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because that notice can always change. But in today's mail I was gifted some fun Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Terri for the order I placed. Plus there's a fun fold card packet in it to put together too. I'll be doing that sometime this weekend. But for today I took one of those pieces of DSP from the "Perennial Lavender" pieces I was sent and made a super quick and easy card with it. Oh, there was also plenty of card stock included in the packet! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock (included), it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock to the inside (included).

On the front I trimmed the DSP to 4" x 5-1/4" and taped it to the front of the card base.

The words are from the "Darling Details" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. Then I punched out a Gorgeous Grape scalloped oval using the same punch. There's enough card stock to do the scalloped oval but I used a scrap piece I had so I could save the larger piece for a future card. I taped the two ovals together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I added a couple of brass butterflies from the "Brushed Butterflies" package and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. The DSP is beautiful and just makes it easy to create a lovely card all on it's own. I did order this DSP and can't wait to make a bunch of these cards to have in my stash.

Thank you so very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Very pretty dsp! With paper like that you don't need much else to make a beautiful card.
