Winter Woods, Feels Like Frost, Christmas Card

I was wanting to make a simple and quick card using the "Feels Like Frost" Designer Series Paper (DSP), since I had bought two packages of it last year. I was SO glad it was back in the winter catalog. Not that I've used it much this season either.  But at least I'm using some of it.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I took a half sheet of Whisper White card stock and folded it in half. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. Though you could cut your sheet of card stock in half on the 8-1/2" side and fold it in half at 5-1/2" and have the card open on the right with the fold on the left. It would look fine either way.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock and die cut the scalloped oval from it before I taped it onto the card base.

The DSP was cut 3-3/4" x 5" and then the stitched oval was cut from the center. I stamped the words on the stitched oval piece from the "Winter Woods" set using black Memento ink.  I then taped the oval to the scalloped oval.

The DSP was taped to the Night of Navy piece and then the oval was set in place using Dimensionals.

I added a few rhinestones to give it a little bling and the card was done.

I really like the looks of this technique. I don't know what it's called but it's fun and easy and cool looking.

This is a great way to use up some of that DSP you have laying around.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
