Back on Your Feet, Get Well Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Today it's back to the "Back on Your Feet" set.  I just love this turtle.  I am not sure if he's my favorite or if the giraffe is.  I'll let you know next time I color a giraffe!!!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the card base is a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that was textured with the "Layered Leaves" 3D embossing folder.  The folder has nice dimension to it.  I then die cut it with the 3" x 4-3/8" "Stitched Rectangle" die cut.  I taped it in place.

I stamped the turtle from the "Back on Your Feet" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I colored him in using the Blends Pens. I used Daffodil Delight, light and dark on the belly, legs and face.  I used Old Olive, light and dark on the shell.  I colored over the face and legs with Old Olive light.  Then I colored over them again with the dark Daffodil Delight.  I outlined the shell with dark Crumb Cake.  He was fun to color.  I die cut him using the 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" "Stitched Square" die.  I also die cut an Old Olive  scalloped square for the layer behind the turtle.

The words are from the same set. I stamped them using black memento ink. I die cut them with the small oval die and I also die cut an Old Olive scalloped die for the layer.

I set the turtle and the words in place using Dimensonals.  And I was done. But to look at it now, I'm thinking that the Whisper White card base could use something.  Maybe some texture?  I don't know. I just looks to white.  Maybe because it's a lot of white.  Maybe a layer of Old Olive behind the Crumb Cake would make that white less noticeable.  But it is what it is for today's card!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

I would love to receive card but not necessarily because I am sick! Very realistic coloring and I agree, maybe a layer of Old Olive or Daffodil Delight would break up the white. Really cute card, Wanda
