Varied Vases, Birthday Card, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  I did change the color and the wording. Not because I didn't like the original, it was because I didn't have what I needed to make it.  Meaning, I had borrowed the punch and stamped a few images and returned the punch. So I'm working with the punched images I have.  Plus it doesn't hurt to see that the card works well in other colors too!

The base of my card is the new Gorgeous Grape. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather.  And the Whisper White piece is cut 3-3/4" x 5".

I took one of the new "Pearlized Doilies" and colored the back side of it with the Highland Heather marker. I only colored the first two rounds and then the lines that go towards the center. I didn't color in the whole doily, there was no need to, the rest of it is hidden.  Don't waste your time!  I set it aside to try.

Then I die cut a Gorgeous Grape circle. It measures about 2-1/8".  And next I stamped the flower using Gorgeous Grape ink. I used the Highland Heather and the petals image to color in all the petals at once. I LOVE the clear stamps because I was able to stamp that part and get it where it needs to go.  No guessing at all there!

I stamped the words from the same set using Gorgeous Grape onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  Isn't the font there sweet? I cut that strip 2-1/8" x 1/2".  I cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape 2-3/8" x 3/4".  I snipped one end to give a ribbon look. I did this for both the Whisper White and the Gorgeous Grape piece.

Now to assemble.  I taped the Highland Heather down first.  Then I taped the doily in place. I tied a ribbon around the Whisper White piece.  Then I taped the flower image to the Gorgeous Grape circle. I set that in place with Dimensionals. I added a Dimensional to the back of the vase piece and set that in place.  I set the words in place with Dimensionals and that was it.  It was a pretty easy card to make. I was going to add some tiny pearls to the center of each flower but I forgot to do it and too the photo. I have been having issues with my phone sending out emails so I won't be correcting that for you. Just imagine little tiny pearls in the center of each flower.  Better yet, add them to the card you are going to make!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
