Frightfully Fun, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Halloween card to share with you. It's fun because of the layout. I struggled with it the first time I worked it but it was okay because I worked it on copier paper. I like to have a physical sample for later use. I add the date I used it so I can go back and view it for reference. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock was cut to build the pieces on.

On the front, I cut a 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock for the focal piece. I marked the center of the card so I could add the square and have it centered. I was a little off on the lower left. You really need to be spot on with centering. Next time the pencil comes out! LOL I taped that square to the center and then began adding the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Frightfully Fun" 12" x 12" package.  I started with the upper left piece. I lined the bottom edge of that piece along the line with the center square. The excess was trimmed off.

The bottom right was added next and it was trimmed. Then the other two corners were added.

On the center I lightly scrubbed on some pumpkin pie ink. Then I used a sticker from the "Frightfully Fun" sticker package. The bats and words are also from that same sticker package.

I added some white dots from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" package and the card was done.

Once I figured out how to add the pieces, it was easier to make. I can't wait to try this with a fall and Christmas card.

I'm taking a break from Halloween cards for now. I may add one or two more before the end of the month but for now, I'm done.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
