The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I grabbed my 6" x 6" "Love Notes" package. It's full of fun images to play with. Another package that I will probably not use up. I have not looked at all of the images but I'm hoping I can make some wedding and/or anniversary cards with it too.
The striped piece was cut first. It measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". It was taped to the front of the card.
The hearts on top with the arrows came from a sheet with several other images on it as well as the bottom heart of hearts.
The piece of Basic Black card stock was cut at 3-1/4" x 4-7/8". I changed the measurement from what the original post suggested. I taped the two images to the Basic Black piece and then took some Baker's Twine I had and wrapped it three times around and tied a knot and then a bow. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was centered on the front of the card. And the card was done.
This was such a super quick and easy card to make. Now to think of what to put inside. Maybe I'll write the same thing in both cards and tell them not to tell each other what I wrote! LOL. I may use AI to see if it can come up with something fun and cleaver. I have time to do that! One down a few more to go.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Valentine's Day card,
Wanda

Sweet card and fun layout! I am also making Valentines for the grandkids. We have 10 of them--5 boys and 5 girls--so it takes me a while to get them done. I also make Valentines for our 6 children and their spouses, my 3 sisters and my 2 aunts. I used to make them for my 2 brothers, too, but I think they thought I was kind of weird for giving them Valentines, so I quit. Oh yes, I also make dozens of them for the thrift store (they've already sold about 20 of them). With so many to make, I appreciate the cute ideas you offer on your blog.
That is too cute, I like the hearts different shades of red, like the use of the twine to break it up. That is cute about your grandkids, all the sentiments I use inside my card I have found on the internet :)
