Let's Go Fishing, Cheerful Daisies, Wanted To Say, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another masculine birthday card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest and I really liked how it looked. I didn't have all of the elements to copy the card so this is my rendition of it. You can see the original card here.  Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. The card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Let's Go Fishing" 12" x 12" package. I cut the top piece to measure3-7/8" x 3". The middle piece is cut at 3-7/8" x 7/16". You can go 1/2" if you want, it won't make that much of a difference. And the bottom piece as cut at 3-7/8" x 1-3/4".  I taped the top and bottom pieces in place and then the strip was added to cover the gap.

I fussy cut a fish from the sheet in the "Let's Go Fishing" DSP package. The piece behind the fish is a die from the "Cheerful Daisies" set and was cut on a scrap piece of Pecan Pie card stock

The words are from the "Wanted To Say" die set. I used Pecan Pie card stock for the layer and Very Vanilla for the words. I had used a double sided sticky sheet for the Very Vanilla piece because I didn't want to do any gluing.  The words were set in place on the bottom part of the card using Dimensionals.

Then the fish was added to the Pecan Pie piece using Dimensionals and the piece was added to the front of the card using more Dimensionals. And the card was finsihed.

This was a fun card to make and I like the way it turned out even without having the same items used on the original card. Just making do with what I have.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
