Timeless Arrangements, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have sweet card I found on Pinterest to share with you. You can see the original card here.  I changed a couple of things but it's pretty much the same.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Moody Mauve card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside of the card.

Next I took a mask from the "Artistic Mix" decorative masks set. It's not the same as the one on the original card but this is what I had and I worked with it. I turned the mask at an angle and used my Blending Brush and scrubbed on some Moody Mauve ink. I moved the mask and finished the front of the card.

Then came the fun part. Die cutting all of the pieces using the "Timeless Arrangements" bundle. You will need Boho Blue, Old Olive, and Soft Sea Foam card stock for these pieces. I die cut them using the original card as a visual as to which die to use for each color.

The words are from the same set. I changed the words because I wanted something that would fill that rectangle more. That rectangle die is also in the same "Timeless Arrangement" bundle. The words were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.

I took a glue dot and put it in the center of the front of the card. Then I took some linin thread and made loops, sticking them in the center on the glue dot as I went from top to bottom with the thread.

Oh, don't forget the flowers. I stamped two of them using black Memento ink n a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut them with the matching die from the bundle. I colored the flowers using my Boho Blue ink pad and Blender Pen. I didn't buy the Blends pens in the in colors because I don't want to spend $50+ on in colors that will only be around for 2 years. I'd have to use a color so much that I can see it a benefit to buy the Blends.  I mostly just get by using the Blending Pen. Once they petals were colored I took my Old Olive marker and colored the leaves on both flowers. I snipped the ends of the flowers and glued them to the word piece. Then all of the other pieces were glued to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added. Before setting it in place, I laid it on top of the linen thread to see where I needed to stamp the little black flowers. I probably should have done them before the linen thread was added but I just moved it over and stamped so it was no big deal. Once the stamping was done the assembled piece was set in place.

A gem was added to the upper left of the card and the card was done. My gem is retired and again I'm just using what I have and trust me, I have a lot of elements leftover.  In the past I wouldn't use them but now I am because I believe that not everyone will add them due to extra postage costs or because they don't have them either. Use what you have so you can buy new stuff in the future! Though there are times I will buy just one new set but lately I have not!

This was a fun card to make and I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
