Playing in the Rain, Art Gallery, Rain or Shine, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! I'm very glad you are here. I found an adorable turtle card I want to share with you. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. The card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measured 4" x 5-1/4" each. One for the inside and one for the top. I taped the one on the inside in place.

For the one on the top I taped a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Rain or Shine" 12" x 12" package. I also cut a Crushed Curry strip that measured 3/8" x 5-1/4".  I taped the strip just above the DSP.

Next I die cut a stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set using the 3rd largest circle die on Basic White card stock.

The turtle is from a piece of the DSP in the "Rain or Shine" package. I fussy cut him out. There's quite a few characters in that package to cut out. Oh and there is a matching die but I didn't buy the bundle so I have to fussy cut. It's not too bad and it's SO worth it because these characters are just too cute!

I used the "Art Gallery" set for the words. I stamped them on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. The piece measured 3/8" x 1-7/8". I also cut a Mossy Meadow layer that measured 5/8" x 2-1/8". I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the upper right corner of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place on the front of the card. And Dimensionals were added to the back of the turtle and it was set in place on the circle.

The original card used the raindrops embossing folder. I don't have that folder but I could have used the raindrops DSP but I didn't want this to be a get well card, I wanted a birthday card and raindrops didn't seem to work well with the mood. So I left the top part blank. Though I do think it needs something. But it is what it is and should I ever make another one I will do something different on the top.

This was a fun card to make and I love the turtle in the circle.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
