Itty Bitty Greetings, Ornate Frames, Ornate Borders, Get Well Card

Today's little gem came from Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  That one was done using Soft Sea Foam card stock. I liked that look but I wanted something brighter and this is what I did.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White that was die cut on the right side using the "Ornate Border" dies.  I moved the die in about 1/4" and then I ran it through the Big Shot. I taped that piece in place. I did add a little glue to the finer pieces that were standing up too much. I just put some white glue on my finger and rubbed it together with my thumb to thin it out and touched the pieces and then pressed them in place.

I saved the branch looking scrap from the die cutting to use as sprigs for the flowers to be put on.

The flowers were made by coloring some vellum using my light Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, and Flirty Flamingo Blends pens.  I didn't want to wait for it to dry so I heat it with my embossing tool to speed up the process.  I punched out two of each color because I wasn't sure which I was going to use until I was ready to assemble the card.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I used black Memento ink to stamp them and then I die cut them using the "Ornate Frames" dies.

I set the springs in place using white glue, adding it like I did with the side die cut pieces.

Then I added a Dimensional to the flowers and set them in place on top of the spring pieces.  Three tiny pearls were added to the center of each flower.  I think that really makes the card look sweet. It adds a softness to the card.

The word piece was set in place using Dimensionals.  A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I can see myself making this card again. It was quick, easy, and SO pretty.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
