Here's a Card, Ornate Borders, Wedding or Anniversary Card

I was looking for a wedding card and found this one on Pinterest. I didn't have the flower die that was used in the original card, so I used what I had and I made it work. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Next I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede card stock and textured it using the "Subtles" embossing folder.  I taped that piece to the front of the card base.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and used the flower die from he "Ornate Borders" dies.  I was SO careful to line it up on the bottom. I got it set at 1/4" from the edge, evenly.  I ran it through the Big Shot and found that was a wasted effort. You do need to have it straight but the fine detail was only on the bottom, leaving the top solid. Not what I expected when it came off the Big Shot. I cut it so the flora piece measured 3-3/4" long and 1-1/4" wide.  I cut another piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5" and I cut 1-1/2" off the bottom.  I turned it over and taped the floral die cut piece to the back using Scotch tape.

Next I took some silver edged ribbon and set it across the Whisper White piece. I lined up the edge of the ribbon, just outside the seam of the card stock. I wanted to hid it but yet I needed to make sure it was going to be nicely spaced between the words and the part below the ribbon. Then I set the words from the "Here's a Card" set on top of the Whisper White piece. I removed the ribbon and carefully moved the piece to my Staparatus where I set it up for stamping. My pad needs more ink because it stamped too light but being it was in my Stamparatus I was able to ink and stamp it again.

I taped the ribbon taped the ends on the backside of the Whisper White piece and then I taped that piece to the front of the card.

I took the ribbon, still on the spool and slit it under the taped ribbon and tied a knot. Then I cut it from the spool.  And the card was done.  SO quick, easy, and pretty too!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
