Itty Bitty Greetings, Snow Front, Get Well Masculine Card

Today I needed to make a get well card. My daughter-in-laws grandpa is in the hospital.  Nothing like being hospitalized over the holidays.  SO I thought I would send him a card to let him know we are thinking of him and wish him a quick recovery.  And this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Shaded Spruce card stock. I cut the card stock on the 8-1/2" side.  This card opens at the bottom.

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock. I made 3 marks on the card. One where I wanted the point to be and the other two on the sides.  On the left I marked it at 2-3/4" up from the bottom.  And on the right side I marked it at 2-1/2" up from the bottom. I cut the left side from the side mark to the point mark.  I repeated that for the other side.

Then I began my stamping using  the Snow Front set. I stamped the mountains first using Crumb Cake ink.  Then I stamped the lake using Pool Party ink.  Above the lake I added some Smoky Slate land. The trees were added next using Shaded Spruce ink.  The deers were then added using Early Espresso ink.  They looked like they were floating, so I added some Crumb Cake land.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I stamped them on Mint Macaron card stock using Shaded Spruce ink.  I die cut them with the smallest "Stitched" circle die cut.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

And for the final touch, I attached a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside for writing on!

This was a quick and easy card to make.  I like this set and I hope it carries over to the new catalog.  There is another set coming in the spring catalog, it would be fun to have all three sets in the main catalog.

I don't know how cheery this card is but it's definitely a masculine card! Maybe just the fact of being thought of will create a cheery feeling.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
