On the 8th I made a card using the "Sunflower Fields" DSP and I had messed up the orientation of the pieces and ended up with those pieces sitting on my worktable. I decided to put them together and make a card. I get the pieces safely off my worktable and a card gets created.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measures 4" x 5-1/4". I taped one to the outside.
On the other piece I taped the DSP that was precut. The pieces measure 3" on the longest side (the top), the right edge measures 4" and the bottom measures 1". On the left piece the top is 3", the side is 4" and the bottom is 1". I overlapped the right floral piece over the left piece.
This left me a white opening on the bottom area that I wasn't sure what I was going to do with.
I decided to cut a circle from the "Spotlight on Nature" piece and then taped it to a Early Espresso piece that I cut from the same die set.
The flowers are from the "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle. I cut one using Crushed Curry and the other from Cajun Craze. The centers are cut using Early Espresso card stock and the leaves and stem are from Mossy Meadow card stock. I glued the center to the two flowers.
I glued the stem and then the Crushed Curry flower. The other flower was set in place using a dimensional.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle piece and I laid it on top of the card so I could see where the words would go.
The words are from the "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle and were stamped using Early Espresso ink. After stamping the words I removed the backing from the circle piece and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.
This was a quick and easy card to make. And it did help that pieces were already made. The best part was that the pieces that were mistakes became a card that I am happy to send!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

Your card turned out beautifully! That was a great way to use those extra pieces. As they say, there are no mistakes in cardmaking, just opportunity.
This is also a really lovely card with an autumnal feel. I don't make that many Halloween cards anymore. I often get comments from people saying, "I'm not into Halloween," so naturally, I don't send them a card, haha. That means only a small group of Halloween enthusiasts still get a card from me. I actually really enjoy it myself. I celebrated it with the kids for years but going door-to-door for Halloween isn't really the custom here. The first time we did it with the kids, people got the shock of their lives, haha. It was appreciated, though, and the kids loved it. In the newer residential areas where lots of families with children live, they often organize a trick-or-treat route on the weekend, but to me, that doesn't feel like Halloween, after all, you wouldn't celebrate Christmas a week early or late. But then again, who am I to say? Another long story. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful Halloween!
Best regards, Marjolijn.
Gorgeous, love the combo of papers, the lovely flowers and great design you came up with!
