The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is in the left.
I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and in the center of it I took my blending brush and scrubbed on some Old Olive ink. I started in the middle where the ink will be the darkest and worked my way out. I wasn't concerned at how dark the center got because it would be hidden.
Then came the fun! The fussy cutting. I cut the image from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package. Once the fussy cutting was done I used Dimensionals behind all of the pieces. I cut tiny ones for those three little mushrooms.
I place the large piece in the center. Then the little mushrooms were added, they're so cute!
And finally the words. I stamped them using Basic White card stock that measured 1/2" x 2". The words are from "The Right Stuff" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I snipped the ends at an angle. Tape was added to the left side and a Dimensional was added to the right and it was set in place on the front of the card.
I didn't have any embellishments to add but after looking at how blah the background is looking, I may cover the mushrooms up and splatter on some Secret Sea ink dots.
I do like how it turned out and I think it will be a great masculine card.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
