Petal Park, Happiness Abounds, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello.  I'm so happy to share today's card with you.  I found it on Pinterest and I just loved the colors and layout so much that I just had to make it. You can see the original card here. Read on to see how it's made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Coastal Cabana card stock. The card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a  4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a piece of Balmy Blue card stock to measure 5" x 3-3/4" and a Basic White piece at 4-7/8" x 3-5/8".

The leaves in the "Petal Park" set and were stamped using Mint Macaron ink for the outline image and then I used the solid image Mint Macaron ink for the solid image.

The flowers were stamped on a separate piece of card stock using Balmy Blue for the outline image. I stamped it twice so it's bolder. And I used Balmy Blue ink and the solid image stamp for the inside of the flowers. I fussy cut them out. I added Dimensionals to the back and set them aside.

Next I cut some Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Dandy Designs" that measures 3-5/8" x 7/8".  I cut two different colored strips and taped them to the bottom of the Basic White piece. After taping the strips in place I stamped the words from the "Happiness Abounds" using black Memento ink. I taped the Basic White piece to the Balmy Blue piece. The ribbon was wrapped around the two layers and the ends taped to the back. I tied a bow for the front and set it aside. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card base.

The flowers were set in place using Dimensionals. And then the bow was glued in place.

I took some small retired "Polished Dots" embellishments and added them to the center of each flower and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I am still thrilled with the colors. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
