Beautifully Happy, Country Floral Lane, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello there! I'm so glad you stopped in. I found a very pretty card on Pinterest to share with you. You can see the original card here. I found an error in the measurements so I will tell you how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the inside and I taped it in place.

For the front you will be doing a lot of cutting. I'll start at the base and work my way to the top.

The Petal Pink card stock was cut at 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" and the Balmy Blue piece on top of that was cut at 4" x 5-1/4". I taped those tow layers together. Then I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the front of the card.

The next long layer was cut at 4-7/8" x 2-3/8" (Petal Pink card stock) and the hearts Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Country Floral Lane" 12" x 12" package was cut at 4-3/4" x 2-1/4". I taped those two layers together. Then I taped them to the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could without using a ruler.

Then the blue striped layers piece was cut. The Petal Pink piece was cut at 2-3/4" x 3-5/8" and the DSP was cut at 2-5/8" x 3-1/2". I taped those two pieces together and I taped it to the front of the card.

And the final layer was cut at 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" (Petal Pink) and the DSP was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4". I taped those two pieces together.

I die cut the second smallest stitched circle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set using Balmy Blue card stock.

And the heart was to be punched using the matching punch that goes with the "Country Floral Lane" DSP and stamp set. But I didn't buy the punch, so I had to fussy cut one from the DSP and then trace it on the Petal Pink card stock and fussy cut that one.

The words are from the "Beautifully Happy" set using black Memento ink on a 1-3/4" x 1/2" piece of Basic White card stock. I taped the piece to the heart and then I trimmed the left side to match the shape of the heart.

The circle was added using Dimensionals and then the heart was added using more Dimensionals.

I was a bit surprised at how heavy this card feels. I didn't weigh it but I'm guessing it will cost the regular postage price, plus the over 1/4" thickness price and the over 1 oz price.  I think this would be one I'd hand deliver or put on top of the gift.  It's a pretty card but I don't see myself making another one. It had a lot of pieces plus it's not very economical to mail.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Birthday card,
Wanda
