Rings of Love, Artistically Inked, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

I am finding more cards using the "Rings of Love" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I was a bit hesitant when I got the paper but now that I'm seeing some cards on Pinterest that I really feel I need to make, I'm much happier. I did find this one on there. You can see it by clicking here.  The original card is a fancy fold. I just converted the design into a single fold.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Rings of Love" 12" x 12" package. I cut the piece at 1-3/4" on the short side. I flipped the left side over and taped the two pieces down on the front of the card.

I took a 3/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the strip that covers where the two pieces of DSP meet.

The scalloped frame is from the "Color & Contour" bundle. I die cut it using Soft Suede card stock. The DSP in the center was cut at 2" x 3-1/4". I taped that piece in place. Dimensionals were added to the back and the focal piece was set in place on the front of the card, centering it as much as possible by eying it. I always feel it's more important to get it straight then centered!

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  It was die cut using the stitched oval die from the "Mini Pocket Envelope" die set. I glued the piece in place. I chose glue because the whole oval wasn't going to be on the focal piece and I didn't want it to catch on anything and come off. With the glue it's going to stay in place.

A few colored rhinestones were added to the front and the card was done. With Blends pens and clear rhinestones, you have lots of colors available.  I used the dark Daffodil Delight for this one.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make, it was easy, and quick too.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
