Cutest Halloween, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today I ran across this card on Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to make because I knew I could use a lot of scraps to make it. I did click through the link but I wasn't able to get any info on the card without registering. Anyway, here is how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock for the layer and for the focal piece, I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock.  You could cut the piece smaller for the top and then be really careful about adding the Designer Series Paper (DSP) but I opted to just use the whole piece and tape the DSP on as I went.

The DSP is from the "Cute Halloween" 6" x 6" stack. There's lots of pieces of scrap in my package and I was more than happy to use them!

Now going from the left to the right, I cut the ghost piece at 2" x 2" and the other three were cut at 2" x 1". I taped the pieces in place on the bottom of the Basic White piece.

Then I punched out the characters. The ghost, pumpkin and cat are all in the matching punch. Or you can fussy cut them, they don't have a lot of tight curved edges so it's easy enough to cut.  I set them on top of the focal piece so I could see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Cutest Halloween" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

There was a scrap piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock so I used that for the strip on the card at the top of the DSP edge.

Then the characters were added. The ghost was first, I just glued him in place. Then the other two were set in place using Dimensionals.

I didn't have any of the elements that were on the original card but I did have some leftover star sequins from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit.

The focal panel was taped (or glued) to the Gorgeous Grape piece and then that piece was glued or taped to the card base. And that was it!

This was a very fun and easy card to make. Plus a bonus, you get to use scraps!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this kid friendly Halloween card,
