Artistically Inked, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Once again today's card comes from the internet but with a few minor changes.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the bottom.

I die cut the floral image using the dies from the "Artistic Dies" set that is part of the "Artistically Inked" bundle.

After cutting I sponged it using Melon Mambo ink. I thought it could use some sparkle so I colored over the whole thing using Wink of Stella.  The Wink of Stella removed some of the ink so I thought I would add some more.  Then I thought that it took away some of the sparkle so I added more Wink of Stella.  I set it aside to dry.

While the floral piece was drying, I stamped the "thanks" from the "Artistically Inked" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock.  I fussy cut it out. I'm still not getting enough of that fussy cutting of the words.  I also tied a silver thread bow too so I was all ready to assemble.

The floral piece was dry and it had a lot of shimmer to it but it looked plastic. It even had a plastic feel to it. The shimmer doesn't really show up in the photo. You can click on the photo and you might be able to see it.

I set the floral piece on top of the front of the card so I could see where to color the background. I used Blushing Bride ink to color in the background behind the floral piece. I added glue to the center area of the large flower and on the upper leaves.

The words were set in place using three small Dimensionals.

The bow was glued in place and five clear rhinestones were added and the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make but I'm not as thrilled with how it looks now that I see mine in person. Perhaps I missed something?  I'm pretty sure I didn't use the same colors but it's an okay card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's shimmery card,
Wanda
