Blossoms in Bloom, Peaceful Moments, Birthday Card

Did you ever create a post with links and all and then it didn't show up on your blog?  I don't know what happened to my post but it's gone. I know there wasn't any surprise update by Windows because there was just one 2 days ago.  I have no idea what happened. Had I forgotten to post it, it would have been saved in draft and would be ready for me to go, oh no, I forgot to set it to post.  UGH.  SO I now have to redo my post and quickly too!

I wanted to use the "Blooms in Bloom" set because it's one I have not used much and I REALLY wanted to make this card.  I changed it a bit because I didn't like the special fold on the original. You can see the original here from Pinterest. If you click through you will find a video on how to make the fun fold card. The original card has the flowered piece centered on a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White on top.  Then you cut a 11" x 2-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock that is folded in half at 5-1/2".  This is the piece that you open up to write on. I don't care for those types of folds so I just made it into a regular card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the front.

Then I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock, one for the inside and one to stamp on.

I set the larger five flowered image in my Stamparatus and inked it up with Balmy Blue ink. The original card used Seaside Spray but it's now retired. Leave your stamp in the Stamparatus and with a sponge dauber, add ink to the center areas of each flower and stamp over the the first images.

The video showed how you add two flowers to the top and bottom on the right and two leaves on the top and bottom on the left. It's set up that way so you can ink up the flowers and the leaves without getting flower ink on the leaves or leaf ink on the flowers.  For the flowers I used Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Once you get them stamped then you clean them up and move them to the opposite sides of the piece, ink up and stamp again.

There's two different flower centers. The dotted one was used on the larger flowers using Night of Navy ink and the small Mango Melody ones were stamped using the smaller roundish image.

Once the stamping was done, cut the piece in half on the 4" edge. This will give you two cards!! How fun is that?

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock and I taped the stamped image to it and then I taped that strip to the front of the card. I moved it over to the left a little because I didn't like the look of it centered.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.  I die cut them with the 1-7/8" circle die and I die cut a scalloped circle a little larger using Night of Navy card stock. I taped the two circles together and set them in place using Dimensionals.

I had some retired ribbon so I made a knot and used a glue dot to hold it in place.

Then I colored some enamel dots using my dark Night of Navy Blends pen and set them in place on the card.

The other Basic White piece was taped inside the card and the card was done.  And I just repeated it all (except for the flower stamping) for the second card.  How fun is that?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this fun and pretty card,
Wanda
