Forever Fern, Good Morning Magnolia, Thinking of You Card

Today I needed to make a thank you card.  Does this look like a thank you card to you?  I don't know what I was thinking but I ended up with a soft looking "thinking of you" card.  So tomorrow I will probably work on a thank you card.  UGH!  I'm going to look at this as a happy mistake!!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Rococo Rose card stock. Before I taped it to the front of the card I die cut a 2-1/8" circle from it. If you have some scrap you can use that but cut your circle from that but I like to use the piece that is going to be mostly hidden behind another layer.  Why not???

I took some scrap pieces of Basic White card stock and I stamped a couple of the leaf images using Mossy Meadow ink. I die cut them and set them aside.

I took the rounded image stamp, I'm not sure if it's buds or leaves, and I stamped two of them on some scrap pieces of Basic White card stock using Rococo Rose ink. I'm going to miss that color. It's retiring next month. I die cut the two images and then I colored each leaf/berry with Wink of Stella. It needed a little bit of sparkle.

The words are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set and were stamped using Rococo Rose ink. I die cut it with the 1-7/8" Stitched Circle die.  I taped the two circles together.

I cut a Basic White piece of card stock that measured 3-3/4" x 5" and taped it to the Rococo Rose piece.

The Mossy Meadow leaf pieces were taped in place on the front of the card and then the Rococo Rose pieces were taped in place.

The circles were added using Dimensionals and the card was done.  After the card was done and this post was almost finished I kept looking at the pink leaf/flowers area and thought that some greens needed to be put in that middle space. So I stamped another leaf set and cut a leaf and slid it under the circle at around the 9 o'clock position.  It toned down that center area. I did like it without the greens on top but it kind of separated the Rococo Rose pieces a bit when a leaf was added. Plus it gave it some dimension.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. I do like this layout and I REALLY like this stamp set!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to look at my "thank you" card today! LOL,
Wanda
