Santa's Workshop, Signs of Santa, Christmas Card, 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I was at Terri's Stamp a Stack earlier this week and on one of her fun display boards was a card much like this!  I took a picture of it so I could make one for myself.  There were a few other cards on her boards that I took photos of too because I want to make them!  It's always fun to see cards in person, you get a better view of how it was made.  I include measurements on the cards I post so you can recreate them too.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I textured it with the "Polka Dots Basic" embossing folder.  Those big dots are fun!

I cut a piece of Garden Green card stock 5-1/4" x 2-3/4".  I die cut a 1-7/8" circle from the center of the piece before I taped it to a 5" x 2-1/2" piece of the red and white polka dot Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) from the "Santa's Workshop" 12" x 12" pack.  I taped a Poppy Parade "Textured Weave Ribbon" to the back of the layers.  I slipped the end of another piece of ribbon under the taped piece and tied a knot and then cut it off the spool.  I like making bows like that.  You can slide it in place on the strip of ribbon you taped on.

I cut the little elves in a row from a piece of SDSP in the same "Santa's Workshop" pack.  It's 2-3/4" x 1".  I taped it on top of the red polka dotted SDSP.  I die cut the elves decorating the tree from the same SDSP pack of paper.  That circle measures 1-5/8".  I taped the SDSP circle to the Garden Green circle I cut from the layer behind the red polka dotted SDSP.  I added Dimensionals to the layer.  I set it in place on top of a 2" scalloped circle.  I should have used the next size larger scallop. The scallop showed more on the original card. But it still looks nice the way I ended up doing it!  It has to because I'm not removing it!! LOL

And for a final touch, I added three red rhinestones to the upper right corner.  If you don't have any colored one, just take a Sharpie marker or a Blends pen and color them in yourself.  You can custom color you rhinestones!  Once the rhinestones were added, I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
