Beautiful You, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Birthday Card

The "Beautiful You" set was one that I just HAD to have. I am not sure why.  I think I may be partial to the sketched look. A number of years back there was some sketched sets with people in them and I had to have them. So with that thought in mind, I wanted to play with the set that I just HAD to have!!  I surfed the net and found this card. I pretty much copied it except for the ribbon.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. It was cut at 4-1/4" on the short side.  This card opens from the bottom.

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock and textured it with the "Ruffled" embossing folder.  I cut that piece in half at 2-1/8" on the short side. Because I did that I decided to just make two card at the same time.

I took another piece of Bermuda Bay cut 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I also cut that one in half at 2-1/8".  I taped those two pieces to the card base.

I cut a piece of Whisper White 2-1/8". I stamped  the lady from the "Beautiful You" set using black Memento ink.  I colored the dress and umbrella in using the Bermuda Bay Blends markers. I colored the skin in using the Petal Pink light Blends marker.  After coloring it in I cut a 1" piece of Decorative Series Paper from the "Brights" 6" x 6" paper pack. I taped it to the back of the Whisper White stamped piece. Then I taped the that to the card front. Leave 1/4" of the Bermuda Bay card stock showing on the right.

I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using black Memento ink.  I punched them out with the "Classic Label" punch. I had some ribbon in my stash that I used under the words. Thinking about it now I could have used a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock but I had some ribbon and I thought I should start using these up! I taped the ribbon in place. Then I added the words using Dimensionals. I added a few sequins from the "Iridescent Sequins" assortment pack. I used tiny glue dots to set them in place on the card.  And that was it.

Isn't this a fun and pretty card? I just love that "Ruffled" embossing folder.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
