Lovely as a Tree Christmas Card

I have used this "Lovely as a Tree" set for SO many years now and it never gets old. It can be used all year long too just by using the right color of card stock for the season. Here I used Night of Navy for my background color. I used the "Top Note" die on a piece of Night of Navy and a piece of Brushed Gold card stock. I cut on the scored lines so the gold could be layered behind the navy. I did cut the navy card stock before I stamped on it. I didn't want to stamp, emboss it in gold and then have it cut wrong. I'm SO good at not getting things lined up right. Ok, maybe I get them lined up but by the time they get through the machine they come out crooked. Just lucky I guess! LOL
This card is a very easy card to make too. After cutting the card stock out, emboss the image with VersaMark, sprinkle on the gold embossing powder. Heat set it. Layer the Top Note pieces, tape them in place on the folded half sheet of card stock and you are done. No kidding, it is that simple. On the inside I will add a piece of white card stock and stamp some verbiage or maybe write my own, depending on who I send it to!
It's elegant and easy at the same time!
I have a weekend project coming up so be sure to stop back!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
