A Flower for all Seasons Thank You Card

I have had such a busy two weeks that I forgot I wanted to send out a "thank you" card. We figure we have one or two more (at the most) Saturdays of painting. I will be SO glad when it is done. And when this hot humid weather is done too. Bring on winter, I'm SO ready for it!!! Ok, I'll take a long fall first because I do love fall too!
Ok, onto my fun card.
I used the "A Flower for all Seasons" stamp set. This is one of the images in the set I had not used yet. I'm not sure why but from the looks of the images in the set that were used I believe I am working my way through the four seasons!!!

I thought the sunflower image would be a perfect one for fall. Plus I wanted to use the new Brights designer paper pack. I think I have all four of them (one from each color group) so I have paper to match every color of card I want to make! I like it too that it is economical. And don't forget my favorite word when it comes to stamps and stamping stuff, VERSATILE! These papers can be used for so many occasions and events! It was a wise purchase!
Back to the card (my how I get distracted so easily!). I colored in the image with markers. I punched it out with the 1-3/4" circle punch. I punched out the large scallop and layered the two together. I put Dimensionals behind it.
My layer was cut as follows. The black piece was cut 2-1/8" and the decorative paper was cut at 2". Both were cut to 5-1/2" long. I taped the two layers together and then I wrapped a piece of black satin ribbon around it and taped it to the back. I slipped a little piece of the black ribbon on the front, tied a knot and trimmed the ends. SO simple and easy to do. I LOVE tying my ribbon on this way because it allows me to move the knot if it is not quite where I want it.
I taped the ribbon layer in place. Then I stamped the "thank you" on. Of course it's from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set! Honestly I do put the set away, it doesn't sit on my worktable all the time! After doing the words I then set the scalloped layer in place. And that was it. Very easy and quick to do too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
