Thoughtful Journey, Beautiful Pattern, Phrases & Frames, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack.  I cut 1/2" off the bottom and I cut the piece in half at the top. I worked two cards at the same time, why not, I had two pieces from the one sheet so I thought I'd just go for it.

I took a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I cut that piece in half at 2".  I glued it to the left side of the card.

The DSP is glued to the right side. I set it under my stamping mat to set up and stay flat.

The words are from the "Phrases & Frames" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black hybrid ink. I cut them out using a die from the "Stampin' Cut & Emboss" dies. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 5/8" up from the bottom and 1/2" from fold.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. The image was just too perfect for a sympathy card.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda

Super card. I love when I can get two cards done at once.
