A Hang Your Stocking and Christmas Stockings Thinlits Christmas Card

While surfing the net I found a great Christmas card to make with the fun "Hang Your Stocking" stamp set and the "Christmas Stockings" Thinlits dies.  It just seems now that since most of the stamp sets that come out have matching dies, I don't like to cut anything anymore!!!  I've gotten lazy!! Once in a while I will cut something but not if I have to make a bunch!!!  See, lazy!!! I'm SO spoiled by these dies!

I found this card at "Song of my Heart Stampers" site.  I thought it would be fun to create.  I got the green stocking a little crooked but it's still a pretty card. I did change the card a little too, I didn't have the same decorative paper, so I just used Real Red from the Decorative Paper 12" x 12" stack.  I'm excited to play with this bundle more!!

To make this card I cut a half sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I cut off 1/2" from the bottom front of the card.  I added a 3/4" piece of the Real Red Decorative Paper to the inside. I have not done a card like that in a VERY long time. I forget to add that type of color to my cards.

I die cut the red stocking and stocking top. I taped the stocking top in place.  I added Dimensionals to the back of the stocking but I didn't remove the protective layer yet.  I needed to set it in the center of the card to see where I needed to stamp the stockings.  I stamped the Soft Sky stocking next and then the Cucumber Crush stocking.

When I cut out the red stocking, I cut the bow, berries and the holly leaves all at the same time.  I like to try to cut as much as I can in one run though my Big Shot.  Once I got the stockings stamped I set the red stocking in place.  I added the holly and berries on the left stocking and the bow on the right stocking.  For that bow, I took a glue dot and folded it in half and then in half again so it would give the bow a little dimension but not too much.  And that was it.  Very fun and super simple.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
