Textured Floral, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you.  It's a very easy layout and quick to put together too. Please read on to see how today's card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. I cut 1-3/4" off the bottom of the front of the card. That left a 2-1/2" flap on the upper part.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was cut and taped to the inside of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Fresh as a Daisy" 12" x 12" package and was taped on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Textured Floral" set and were stamped using Garden Green ink. I die cut them using the second smallest stitched rectangle in the "Nested Essentials" die set. I also die cut a Garden Green one from the same set, it was the third smallest. I taped the two pieces together.

I often struggle with getting the piece straight on a front like this. SO what I did here was I added Dimensionals to the upper part of the word piece. Without removing the covering on the Dimensionals I set the piece on the front of the card to see where it would look the best. Then I added Dimensionals to the front of the card along the edge. I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the piece in place. I was able to eye it to get it straight and it went on nicely! No Dimensionals showing on the back or making the card stick together.  Ya gotta love that, right? LOL

This was a fun and quick card to make.  I may use this layout for a get well card I need to make. I hope I can find some large get well wording.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

I've been so busy working on holiday cards ever since Halloween! I'm getting anxious to bring out some other designer papers to use. The Cheerful Daisies such a pretty set! I like how you used it on this card!
