This Little Piggy, Coronavirus Covid19 Stay at Home Card, Best Dressed Designer Series Paper

I was looking through the list of stamp sets that were going to be retiring and when I saw "This Little Piggy" on the list, I was kind of sad because I like this set but I don't use it enough.  So today I took it out and when I saw the "This little piggy" words under the one pig, I thought to myself "stayed home" and the rest you know!

I took a half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock and folded it in half.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the card base is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White that I textured using the "Subtle" embossing folder.

I cut a piece of Daffodil Delight 4-1/4" x 3-1/4".  And I cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" stack.  There's a lot of papers in those little packs. I still have a lot left and I know I won't be using them up before they retire.  I cut the DSP 4" x 3".  I took that piece and cut one side at 1".  I flipped it over and taped it together on the seam on the back using a couple of pieces of scotch tape.  You can always cut a 4" x 3" piece of card stock or copier paper and tape it to that.

I stamped the piggy on a small piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut it with the largest stitched oval dies.  Then I took a quarter sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock and die cut a scalloped oval that was a bit larger than the stitched oval.  I die cut the scalloped oval from the center of the 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece I cut earlier. Cutting it in the center allows you to use it for the layer behind the DSP.

I colored the piggy using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends markers.  I taped the piggy oval to the scalloped oval.

I taped the DSP to the 4-1/4" x 3-`/4" Daffodil Delight piece.  I taped the ends of a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon around to the back of the card. I used scotch tape to hold it.  I set this on top of the card front using Dimensionals.

I added the oval layers to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I tied a bow and used glue dots to put it in place on top of the taped ribbon to the side of the oval.

I printed out the words on my computer and I punched them using the "Classic Label" punch.  I also punched out two in Daffodil Delight.  I taped the word piece to the other two pieces. I added tape to the left side and a Dimensional to the right side and set the words in place.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

So there's my Covid19 stay at home card!  I am venturing out Kohl's to pick up some 600 thread count sheets to use for masks.  I read that the higher thread count the more protection in the mask. I'm sewing masks again so I needed to have some good fabric. I don't want to go into the fabric store and to order online it takes a long time to get your order. By the time the date rolls around the fabric is out of stock.  So I thought this would be a better way to go. I get a very high thread count and I don't have to go into any store.  And now I will be able to make masks that protect better.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today.  Stay safe and be well,
Wanda
