Beautiful Friendship, Gorgeous Posies, Life is Beautiful, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Catalog

I had seen this card several times while looking in Pinterest. I thought it was pretty but I kept passing it up. Then I saw it popping up a lot again and I took it as a omen. Make this card. I was in need of a birthday card for this coming Wednesday so it was perfect timing. 

Here's how I made the card. The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. There's no layers on this card at all. No Dimensionals. No sequins.  Just a flat card but not plain!

The flower image is from the "Beautiful Friendship" set and was stamped using Pacific Point ink.

Next the leaves were added. First the Old Olive ones. I stamped once and then stamped again without inking the image. I did that a couple of times. I did the same with the other leaf image from the same "Beautiful Friendship" set but I used Shaded Spruce ink.

I used the dots from the "life is Beautiful" set for the splatters. I don't have a splatter stamp. But this works and it's pretty. I used Smoky Slate ink but I did stamp off once before I stamped on the front of the card.

I stamped the center of the flowers using Night of Navy ink.

The words are from the "Gorgeous Posies" set using Night of Navy ink and the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. I will  be bringing it to my friend tomorrow.

Itty Bitty Greetings, Life is Beautiful, Thank You Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

I had found this card in an email I received from signing up for emails. I thought this card was a great way to use the lacy pieces in the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. It seems like I've made so many cards from this kit and yet there's a ton of pieces left.  I have a link to the original card. Click here to see it. I pretty much copied it like the original.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White. This is the focal piece and I did not tape it on the card base until I was done.

The first thing I did was stamp the splatter images. I didn't have the one used in the original card but I did find this one in the "Life is Beautiful" set. I stamped them several times using Daffodil Delight ink. 

Then I taped two of the lacy piece in place. I only added tape down the center because I knew the twine would cover any that showed through.  The twine was wrapped around the piece three times and the ends were taped on the back with transparent tape. Now it was fine for the focal piece to be taped in place on the card base.

I took some copper thread and wrapped it around my fingers several times and taped the piece to the front of the card. It's taped very close to the top edge of the lacy piece

Next the pumpkins were set in place with Dimensionals. Don't press them down yet, you might need to slip a leaf or curly piece behind them. I glued the leaves and curly pieces behind the pumpkins. Then I pressed the pumpkins down.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on the backside of one of the small label pieces from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. And that was it.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. It's a good card for Thanksgiving or a fall thank you card.

Here's A Card, Thank You Card, 2020 - 2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was looking for some quick and easy card. I wanted a thank you card but I wanted to use some of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" stack.  I didn't have to look too long when I ran across this card. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little.  

I wanted to use the Misty Moonlight DSP in the pack. I hadn't used it on a card yet and thought it would be a difficult design to work with.  Well I was surprised that I found a card right away. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the DSP from the "Flowers for Every Season" stack.  You can cut this piece to 4" x 3-1/2" and it will work. I just used the whole piece.  

In the pack I found the polka dotted piece too and I cut it to 4" x 2". I taped this piece to the larger piece. If you are making your larger piece smaller you will want to tape both directly to the card base and work on making the edges even all around.  I taped the pieces to the front of the card.

I took a 4-1.4" x 3/4 " piece of Misty Moonlight and textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder.  I taped that to the front of the card. I used the edge of the polka dotted DSP piece as my guide.

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set and I stamped it on Whisper White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. This piece measured 2-1/8" x 5/8". I fussy cut the ends and I set the piece in place on top of the textured band.

I punched out two flowers from the "Small Bloom" punch using Whisper White card stock. I sponged the edges with Misty Moonlight ink.  I put them in the palm of my hand and used the end of a pencil to push it into my palm to make the flowers "cup". The top flower was set in place with glue dots and the bottom flower was set in place using a Dimensional.  And that was it. The card was done.  I need to get it signed and addressed and it's ready for the mail tomorrow.

This was a fun card to make and a great way to use up some DSP.

Flight of Fancy, Christmas Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

What I liked about this set was that it served more than one "holiday".  Yesterday I made a Halloween card with the cute witch image. Today it's the Christmas angel and there's also a cute cupid but I won't be using that one for a while. I found this card on page 59 of the Stampin' Up! 2020 Holiday Catalog. There's no instructions, so here's how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue and textured it with the "Winter Snow" embossing folder. I love those snowflakes in the folder. They are so detailed and delicate looking. I wrapped some ribbon around the card. I thought three thin strips would look good but I was wrong. One wider one would look better. Or you could use a strip of Whisper White card stock and it would still look good.

I stamped the angel image from the "Flight of Fancy" set using black Memento ink. I colored her and the buildings in using Blends Pens. I used Daffodil Delight, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Rich Razzleberry, Dark Mango Melody, Light Calypso Coral, Light Cajun Craze, Light Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Petal Pink, and Bronze. After coloring I used the largest stitched oval die and cut out the image. I set the image on top of the Balmy Blue piece using Dimensionals. 

The words are from the "Banner Year" set and the were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them to a 1/2" x 3-1/8" strip and I fussy cut the ends. I taped it on the edge of the bottom of the oval.

The 4" x 5-1/4" Balmy Blue piece was set on the card base using Dimensionals. 

I glued some gold sequins to the stars in the sky and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I don't think I've ever copied one from any of the catalogs. This card doesn't look exactly like the one in the catalog but it was good inspiration. Oh and I could not for the life of me make that folded ribbon that was on the original card!!

Ghoulish Goodies, Flight of Fancy, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up! 2020 Holiday Catalog

Did you ever start making a card and you tried and tried to get it to look right and then you begin to think you just have to give up?  I was trying to get the background on this card right. I tried several times to copy the card that is on page 59 of the Stampin' Up! 2020 Holiday Catalog. I tried sponging and then I tried the Blends Pens. I mixed Blends pens with sponging and then I finally gave up. I started putting the ink pads back and I ran across a piece of card stock from the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  So I thought I'd grab it and continue on with the card I wanted to make. I had already stamped, colored, and fussy cut the witch. I didn't want to stop there. So this is what I ended up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a 1/4 sheet of Whisper White card stock and fussy cut some clouds. I sponged the top edge of the clouds using Daffodil Delight ink. I placed the cloud pieces where I thought they would look the best and yet make room for the words. The words are from the "Ghoulish Goodies" set using Versa Mark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I taped the clouds together and ended up trimming the sides and the bottom.  It's something you need to move around and work with until they look right.  Plus you need to make room for the words. 

I was going to punch a 1-3/4" circle of Daffodil Delight for the moon but I had already scribbled one in on one of the failed pieces, so I just punched the moon from that. I taped the moon to the front of the card and I did tuck a little bit of the bottom behind the top cloud. 

The witch was fussy cut and colored using my Blends Pens. Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Petal Pink, Blushing Bride (for the blushed cheeks) and Smoky Slate for the mouse.

I used Vellum for the back of the broom. I stamped the Vellum using Versa Mark and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the piece. The witch is from the "Flight of Fancy" set. I stamped the witch using black Memento ink. 

I taped the Vellum to the back part of the broom bristles. Then I set the whole piece in place using Dimensionals. I had cut a tiny piece of Dimensional and placed it under the part of the piece behind the broom, it's where the piece starts to curl. There was enough embossing there to hide the Dimensional. 

I had stars left from the same Paper Pumpkin kit and I added them. It's not like the one in the Holiday Catalog but it's still cute and I'm glad I was able to finish what I had started, even though it's not what I started out creating!

Itty Bitty Greetings, Halloween Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I had found a fun card on Pinterest using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit to make an alternate card.  I thought it was SO cute.  I had lost the original card and I couldn't find where it was. I looked for it in Pinterest and had no luck. If you see one similar to this card, please let me know so I can provide a link and give the designer credit. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mango Melody card stock. I stamped the pumpkins on it using Cajun Craze ink and the stamp that came in the kit. I added the faces to the pumpkins. I thought since it was a Halloween card, all the pumpkins should have faces. I taped this piece to the front of the card.

I cut a 1-1/2" strip of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Plaid Tidings" 6" x 6" paper stack. I taped it to the bottom of the Cajun Craze piece. 

A 1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight was cut and used as a "ribbon" across the DSP. I just lined it up with the top of the DSP.

I die cut a Whisper White circle using the 2-1/8" circle die and I also die cut a scalloped circle just a little larger using Basic Black card stock. I taped those two layers together and I taped that piece to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set and I stamped them using Cajun Craze ink on a label that came in the kit. I added a little tape on the bottom back and stuck on one of the curly pieces that were in the kit. 

I did find my pumpkins. After punching out the bunch (and I mean BUNCH) of images in the kit I put them in little zip baggies to keep them not only separate but from getting bent and torn because the curly pieces stuck to other images and to themselves too. I found the baggie of the double pumpkins in between the party favor boxes.  I was glad to have found them. I was pretty sure I hadn't used them all  up but I don't always remember what I do anymore!! LOL  SO I stamped the faces on the pumpkins and I set the pumpkins in place using Dimensonals.

I set the words piece in place with small Dimensionals. And I added the black flower using a Dimensional. I chose black because it went better with the DSP than the other colors in the kit. The original card didn't have a flower in the corner, I just thought it would look cute there. And I don't think the original card had faces on their pumpkins.  I will keep an eye out for it and edit my post at the bottom with the link should I find it.

This was a very fun card to make. I like the background and the colors. I think it was the colors that drew my eye to it.  I found another one with stunning colors and I may try it in a few days.

Halloween Card, September 2020 Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

I thought it was time to play with my September Paper Pumpkin kit again.  There's still SO many pieces left to it. I am not sure if I used up all my double pumpkins or if I just lost them on my worktable.  By the way it's not as messy as it was last week. I've actually been putting things away!  Shocker, I know!!! LOL So they are either used up or lost. So here's the original card. There is no link to any directions so I winged it. I did replaced the double pumpkin with two pumpkins.  Probably could have stood to have three there but I went with to and it turned out fine.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Rich Razzleberry card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top. 

I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Plaid Christmas" 6" x 6" paper stack.  

Then I die cut the "Stitched Nested Label" on Whisper White card stock. I used the second largest die.

I didn't want to stamp and color the hat because I was running short on time, so I used one of the die cut ones. I took one of the rectangle lace pieces and set it on the left so I could see where the hat could go. I taped the hat in place. I also set a flower from the kit on the hat using a small Dimensional. I colored in the center of the flower with a black marker.

The words are from the kit and they were stamped on a tag from the kit. I used the Cajun Craze ink from the kit. These kits come with lots of stuff.  I don't use the glue dots often, I usually use my snail tape because I think it's quicker. I added glue to the back of the word piece and set the lace and word piece on the front of the card at the same time. The glue will hold the two together and also hold it to the card. 

A small pumpkin was added to the bottom right and one of the Mossy Meadow curly pieces (cut) was stuck to the back of it before it was set in place.

Then the other two pumpkins were added using Dimensionals and curly pieces were added to the sides and bottom. I stuck them to the Dimensional before I set them in place.  

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.  

This was a fun and quick card to make. I've found several cards on the internet that were made using this kit. I have a few more I'd like to make within the next couple of weeks.  I'll probably finish up with them just in time for the next kit to arrive!

Winter Snow, Christmas Layers, Snowman Season, Christmas Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I still had my "Feels Like Frost" Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack sitting on my worktable. Not surprising, I don't put things away very quickly.  I was looking through the stack an thought how pretty this image would look highlighted in a circle. And I was hoping it would look as good on paper as it was in my head.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I die cut the circle using the 2-11/16" die.  Then I textured it with the "Winter Snow" embossing folder. This folder is the most prettiest snowflake folder I've seen. I am going to keep it forever or until I use it so much it no longer embosses! LOL  Can that happen???

The die cut circled piece was set on top of the image. I moved it around until I liked what I saw in the opening.  I trimmed any DSP that was sticking over the top piece. Dimensionals were added around the backside of the circle and the DSP was set in place. Additional Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle piece and some snail tape to the back of the DSP and the piece was set in place.

I die cut a snowflake from the "Christmas Layers" dies. I didn't buy a new snowflake set, this one was still current. I need to make some spending cutbacks and since I had a snowflake die I was fine.  I glued the right side of the snowflake to the outside of the circle. 

The words are from the "Snowman Season" set and were stamped on a 5" x 1" piece of Whisper White card stock using Night of Navy ink. I used the "Triple Banner" punch on each end. The piece was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. With this layout, you can use any image in the center, even family photos. Or if you are like me, a photo of a snowman you made! I love making snowman and I'm hoping we get a nice wet snow so I can go out and play later this winter. By later I mean after the holidays!  Like that would ever happen in Minnesota!!!

Dandelion Wishes, Wedding Card, Anniversary Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I got a "save the date" post card in the mail and that means I'm going to be needing a wedding card. I was planning on making a different card but when I saw the white and silver Designer Series Paper (DSP)  from the "Feels Like Frost" 6" x 6" stack and thought it would make a perfect wedding card.  Or an anniversary card too.  I had a strip of the DSP and on the other side was a part of a snow covered pine tree. I had cut away the prettiest part of the DSP and this is what was left. But when I turned it over and saw the white and silver part, I thought it would be a perfect way to use the piece I would have considered tossing out.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Smoky Slate card stock. It's the closest color to silver without having to use metallic card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

My strip was 3" wide so I cut it to 2" x 5-1/2".  Then I cut a piece of Basic Gray card stock to 2-1/8" x 5-1/2" and I taped those two pieces together.  Then I taped them to the front of the card about 1/4" away from the fold.  

I stamped the words from the "Dandelion Wishes" set using Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White card stock. I had a scrap piece of card stock so it was nice to use that up too.  I used the second largest "Stitched Circle" to die cut the words.  Then I used a Scalloped Circle die to cut the Basic Gray piece for the layer. I taped those two pieces together and I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

When I had die cut the words I made sure I moved the die so that there would be some open space under the words. I took that remaining 1" strip of the DSP and punched out a flower using the cute "Small Bloom" punch. I put it in the palm of my hand and I pressed the center with the eraser end of a pencil so the petals would bend inward. I set the flower in place using a Dimensional and I added a pearl to the center to give it a better look.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was finished.

This is a very quick and easy way to make a card and it's a perfect way to use those pieces of DSP that you have sitting around.  This one was a nice surprise because of the other side being so perfect for a wedding (or anniversary) card.  I like how the card turned out and now I'm ready for a wedding I will probably not be attending due to the virus.

Band Together, Birthday Card, Wedding Card, With Feels Like Frost DSP

Last year Stampin' Up! came out with the 6" x 6" "Feels Like Frost" Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack. I bought two with big plans of using them both up. But as usual I had a lot left in both packs. I did open the second one. Not sure why, I must have used up all of one design in the first pack.  Anyway, I have lots left so I need to use it up this time around.  Stampin' Up! brought it back in their 2020 Holiday Catalog. I was thrilled. It's SO pretty and easy to work with.  You can whip up a bunch of cards in no time using an easy layout and some words. Hmmm, maybe that is what I was planning on doing!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock. I cut the full sheet on the short side. Before folding this card measures 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it in half. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside. I like to do that first so when I'm done with the front it's all done.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a piece of the DSP 2-1/4" x 5-1/2". The layer behind the DSP is Highland Heather card stock cut 2-3/8" x 5-1/2" and the Whisper White piece behind that was cut at 2-1/2" x 5-1/2".  I taped all those layers together and then taped them to the front of the card.  You can use any width of DSP you'd like, just cut the layers 1/8" wider.  I think I could have cut this one a 1/2" narrower and been okay with the look. But it's cut at 2-1/4" and it looks just fine.

The words are from the "Band Together" set and were stamped on Whisper White card stock using Gorgeous Grape ink. I die cut them with the 3rd smallest "Stitched Rectangles" die and I die cut a Gorgeous Grape layer using the rectangle that was the next size up. I taped those two pieces together and then I set them in place on the card using Dimensionals.  And the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and it's very pretty too!! I do like how it turned out.

Halloween Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

My card today was found on the internet. I wasn't able to find a link to where it came from so (as usual) I winged it with colors and sizes. I think I nailed it!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crushed Curry card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is on the top.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Rich Razzleberry was cut for the layer. I didn't have the spider web embossing folder so I used the "Woodland" one. I taped it to the front of the card.

A 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry was cut and on top of that a 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock was cut.

There's a fun 6" x 6" pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) called "Plaid Tidings". I have that DSP stack and I found the color used. I cut that piece 4-1/8" x 3/4" and I taped it to the bottom of the Whisper White piece.

The witch hat was taped on next. The original card stamped the hat. I figured I would use one already made. A flower was added to the hat using a glue dot. And I did add a little pumpkin to the hat in the area where the pumpkin is stamped on the hat. That was taped in place.

The features were stamped on the  double pumpkins using black Memento ink. I set the stamps on top of the pumpkins and then set my stamping block on top and pressed down. I inked both up at the same time and stamped them both at the same time.  I set the pumpkins in place using Dimensionals. I didn't press down on them though. I waited because I wanted to see if one of those curly things from the kit would look cute on it. I was going to use the Mossy Meadow color but it kind of got lost on the plaid DSP. The Crushed Curry colored one seemed to look better. It connected the flower in the witch hat to the bottom of the pumpkins. I liked it much better. I slipped it under the Dimensionals that were near it and then I pressed the pumpkins in place. 

I had some purple sequins and I set them in place on the front of the card using small glue dots. I was thrilled that my sequins matched the Rich Razzleberry card stock SO close. If you click on the photo you can see it more up close and personal.  

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.  I thought this alternative card was SO darn cute. Worth of copying and sharing!!

Snow Front, Itty Bitty Christmas, Winter Snow, Christmas Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Earlier this week Stampin' Up! had a 15% off sale on certain stamp sets.  What these stamp sets had in common was that most of them (if not all) will be retiring in the spring.  I wasn't sure I wanted to buy a stamp set that I could only use for a few months knowing that I wouldn't use them enough to justify buying them.  This "Snow Front" set was one of them. I already had the set and thought I should use it a few more times before the end of the year. It is more of a Christmas type set but could be used for a winter birthday or masculine sympathy.  So here's a fun and quick card I found on the internet that I thought I'd give a try to.  You can see the original card here. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of it is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that was textured using the "Winter Snow" embossing folder.  This has to be one of the prettiest snowflake folders I've ever seen or used.  I love the delicate snowflakes. It's SO pretty and looks so much better in real life.  I taped this piece to the card base.

I took a piece of Whisper White card stock, scrap that measured around 3" x 3".  I stamped the trees from the "Snow Front" set using Balmy Blue. I stamped a tree and then without inking the image up again I stamped another. Doing this gives the image some depth. The lighter ones look like they are in the background. I inked it up again and I did stamp off because only one large tree needed to be dark.  I took the next largest tree and did the same. I filled in areas of openness with stamped off trees. 

For the ground I used the dotted image. I stamped off once and then stamped on the card stock. I did this twice.

The deers were stamped using Night of Navy in and were only stamped once.  They have a texture to them so they don't stamp solid. If you want them solid you will have to color them in. I just left them as they were, the looked fine to me. I die cut the stamped images using the 2-1/8" circle die and I die cut a 2-7/16" circle of Night of Navy for the layer. I taped those two pieces together. 

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White card. My scrap piece came from what was left from die cutting the circle.  They were stamped using Night of Navy ink and punched out using the "Classic Label" punch.  

I set the circles and words in place using Dimensionals. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.  

This is a very quick and easy Christmas/Winter card to make.  I LOVE the snowflake background and I also love how quick it was to make this card. I may make a few for our Christmas card stash this year. It's a mish mash of cards. Everyone we sent to will not be getting the same card this year. I'm using what I have on hand plus what I run across that is fun to make. And maybe quick and easy too!

Halloween Card, Fall Card, Friendship Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Card

Here's the second card I made today using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I could have posted it tomorrow but I don't want to make too many of my posts with Paper Pumpkin stuff because not everyone subscribes to it.

Here's how I made my card.  I took a half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock and folded it in half. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of tat is a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I cut one of the Paper Pumpkin party favors to use for the center. I cut off the sides and kept the middle. That middle piece measures 2-1/2" x 3-5/8".  I cut the Old Olive piece 2-7/8" x 4". I put a small dot of tape at the area where I think the hole will be punched out. I need the tape there to hold the pieces together and prevent them from slipping.  I took my 1-1/4" circle punch and put the piece all the way into the punch.I eyed both sides to make sure they were as even as could be and I punched the circle.  Then I took the 1-3/8" circle punch and punched the party favor circle a little bit bigger. I eyed the punch and then punched out the thin ring. You don't need the ring so toss it in recycling. I taped those two pieces together.

The words are from the kit and were stamped on Whisper White card stock using Cajun Craze ink.  I punched them with the "Classic Label" punch.  

I took a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, mine measured 2" x 2" and I centered it on the back side of the circle. I had set Dimensionals around the circle and I affixed the scrap piece to the front layers. 

I took some black Baker's Twine from the kit and wrapped it around the two layers and tied a bow in the front. I did add a glue dot to hold the bow where I needed it to be. I set the words above the bow using Dimensionals.

I added a Dimensional to the back of the little pumpkin in the kit and set it in the center of the punched circle. 

I glued a curly piece to the front of the card just above the words. 

The front panel was done so I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the Whisper White piece. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and it's a layout I love to use with smaller images.

Thanksgiving Card, Thank You Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Cards

Today I'm going to share with you two cards from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. This kit has the most pieces of any kit I have ever gotten. There's SO many possibilities for cards in this kit too. I don't plan on using all the pieces in the kit but I do plan on making at least 10 different cards from it. The pieces are for party favors. I don't need any party favors so I'm designing and finding other cards to make using the pieces.  Here's what I came up with today.  The one with the Whisper White background was found on the internet but I can't find where it originated from. And the one with the  Mossy Meadow background was one I came up with.

To make the one with the Whisper White background you will need to cut a half sheet of Whisper White card stock.  It was cut on the 8-1/2" side so before folding it measures 4-1/4" x 11".  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.  

You will need to cut the scalloped piece from the ends of the party favor. Mine were left over from another card I had made. I haven't thrown anything away (yet).  You will need it to be the length of 4 scored sections. Don't cut the sections apart, keep them as one piece.  

I set the scored piece on top of the card so I could see where to stamp the words. The words are from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. They were stamped with Cajun Craze ink that came with the kit. After stamping the words I taped the scalloped piece in place.

Then I added some tape to the center of one of the lacy rectangle pieces. And I set that on top of the scalloped piece. Then I added a little tape so I could adhere the curly Mossy Meadow piece. 

The two flowers were added to each side of the lacy piece and the pumpkins piece was set in place using Dimensionals. A white Baker's Twine bow was tied and set in place with a glue dot and the and was done.  This was such a quick and simple card to make. I love all the elements in the card. It's quick and clean.

I had an issue trying to get two photos on the blog at the same time. I could get the photos on there but there was a big gap in the wording so I'm going to have to create two posts.  I'm sure you won't mind the bonus post!!
